Local coffee and tea shop doing it right. They know their customers by name. My first time in and they made me feel right at home. Nice beverage selections and food. Stop in. Starbucks stinks, right?

Classic little family run establishment with high-​quality coffee drinks. Dependable Wi-​Fi for working and very friendly staff. Highly recommend checking it out. I had the dirty chai and loved it. Breakfast sandwich was damn good too.

You’ve heard the old phrase «Don’t judge a book by its cover» right? But we do. Almost every time. It could be the best book we ever read, but if we tried it at the recommendation of others or just by a luck of the draw, we were (typically) a little weary until we got to the thick of the plot and then we couldn’t put it down.
Welcome to Mocha Mug. This place doesn’t fit the mold of a coffee shop… The interior is like a small lunch café, with only hard table seating and fluorescent lighting. (This is the sole reason for my lack of the fifth star). But the latte… The plot of the book… overpowered any doubt I had about this place. While the seating wasn’t conducive to my «relax and put my feet up and read a book» feeling that I love to get a coffee shops, I got what I came here for– a delicious cup of coffee.
If you’re in the area, give this place a try. Like your favorite book that you judged shamelessly by its cover, you’ll be glad you did.

I was actually skeptical about this place, but I’m glad that I paid them a visit. The cute little interior & made it feel like I was at home. The person behind the counter was extremely nice & patient while I was deciding what to order. Their lattes are quite good as well as the apple cinnamon muffin! I would come back again to try other things on their menu!

I’m not always in the mood for Chai, but the morning of my most recent visit I was! SO glad I tried it… this will be my go-​to place for Chai period!
The lady who made my drink was super friendly and put lots of care into something might be routine for her day at Mocha Mug. I was there for almost 3 hours… got to see the owners coming back from their supply shopping and how a customer helped with the door. The staff and owners sat down at a round table to have their lunch breaks together as a family.
Overall it’s a friendly coffee shop with some gluten free treats options. Subtle yet flavorful earl gray cookies if they are available, they go perfectly with the tea itself.
Will be back for sure…

I’ve been wanting to try a new coffee shop, and this place did not disappoint. The couple that worked here were very friendly. I got the grilled cheese and apple, which was amazing and very filling, and I got the egg nog latte which was very good as well. I’m definitely going to come back here again.

Not only was my coffee «pretty», it was delicious. AND my blueberry muffin was warmed for me, and it tasted amazing. Bonus: the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I’m totally enjoying this.

We got there right before they close. They were very friendly and the espresso tasted great! Even gave us a sample of their Italian soda drink. It’s a must try. Very refreshing. We Will definitely come back! Recommend to all coffee lovers. ¹⁰⁄₁₀

Nice small coffee shop. With unique coffee and tea flavors as well as hand baked pastries and muffins. Great alternative to start bucks and worth a visit. Prices are pretty standard for a coffee shop. I tried the «dirty chai» & «blueberry muffin» both very good

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s only yards away from my work. They have tasty fresh sandwiches with a side salad. Healthy! Great coffee. OMG they use ice cubes made from coffee. Perfect for your next iced coffee. The owners and staff are super friendly. My co workers and I love supporting them. We’re lucky that there’s a coffee joint within walking distance. If you work nearby call ahead and have your order ready. Go Mocha Mug!

One of our favorite breakfast and lunch spots. The coffee is great. The pastries are delicious and the lunches are luscious and very filling. The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Im kind if a mocha snob and this place has one of the best mochas in Albuquerque. Wasn’t busy when I was there which makes me think its a best kept secret. If you enjoy good coffee check this place out!

Cute quiet little shop. Has a homely feel, with leather chairs, a book case, and a view of the mountains. The couple that runs the shop are sweet, and check in often to see that everything it well. A nice place to read, and relax.

We stopped here on our way through town. Such nice people and the coffee was great! And definitely potent enough to keep us going on our trip. We have added this place to our must stops next time we are in Albuquerque and we will be back.

I had a lovely pre-​shopping lunch here that was delicious! I had the Italian sandwich on a hoagie bun. It came with crunchy bbq kettle chips, a small fresh salad and a pickle spear. My lunch was satisfying. But what was so much more than satisfying was the frozen green tea latte topped with whipped cream that I slurped down so fast I didn’t even care that I got brain freeze. I will definitely return to try out all the other delicious beverages! Can’t wait!
As for the establishment, it was quite cute. It has your typical small coffee shop tables and a large bookcase full of books to read. This also appears to be a locally owned an operated business, and everyone working there was extremely nice.
Highly recommend!

This is the best espresso and chai in town! There are so many good places for coffee here but If you want the best you have to come try the Mocha Mug!
Friendly service Danny the barista has it down to a science! The prefect drink that is not acidic, bold and smooth with beautify designs personalized on every cup.
The owners are hands on. Susan and her husband are warm welcoming and appreciate every guest.
Love to see more independent businesses in town and succeed. This is one is a true gem.
I urge you to try it.

Hands down the best chi tea in the city. Was so good went back and got a second one. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

This is my favorite place to go to do some work, relax and read a book or draw. It’s like staying at a lovely B&B, so welcoming and the baristas are amazing in their craft and presentations. I recommend ordering as I do:” surprise me!” If you’re not so daring ask for Gunsmoke Latte it’s to die for.

I was made aware of Mocha Mug by a friend, so decided to stop in. I’ve been there twice now and have been extremely satisfied with my experiences so far. They have a much wider variety of flavors than any other coffee shop I’ve found in town. The espresso is very easy to drink. Service has been incredibly friendly from the baristas and other staff — presumably the owner who has greeted me both times from various places in the shop.
Not only are the drinks delicious, but they’re beautiful too. The baristas take extra time to add a little flair to the top of your drink. I’ll definitely be going back frequently!
