This place is the REALDEAL! Just got back and I am super impressed. This is not high-end big city fancy chef dining — but what this is — is big city fancy chef dining without the pretension. You would honestly pay twice the amount for this meal in Los Angeles and it wouldn’t be half as good… Whoever is in charge here really knows their food. And the cocktails are outstanding. My only qualm with this place is they really need to stay open till midnight on Fri/Sat. They have what it takes for big-city appeal, so how about acting like it on the weekends? I feel this place knows it’s super good for Albuquerque… But what it doesn’t know is that it’s actually good enough to survive in a big city market. So how about it, Mykonons? Start throwing around some of your big city swagger and stay open late on Fri/Sat? Could easily survive on the bar alone. The food just takes it to the next level…

My friends and I ate here for happy hour a couple of weeks ago. We were sat right away in the bar area and were greeted with a small plate of spanakopita.(I love a fast treat) I have eaten here many times through out the years, but recently I think they revamped the place. It looks good. The menu has changed a bit, mostly pricing, but I was still able to order my favorite lemon soup. I don’t know what the actual name is, but I love this soup. Our drinks were good, and the food was still pretty awesome. I am a fan of some other Greek places in town, but if you are in the heights this place is great too.

We always loved Mykonos and visited at least once a month for years. When we learned that they had closed we were disappointed to loose our favorite Greek restaurant. We were driving by last night and learned that they had re-opened. What we did not realize until we entered was a complete change in the menu with the prices for the same dishes we always ordered twice the previous price. We later learned that the original owners sold the place and the new owners were using the same name with some of the old menu items mixed with mostly new menu items that were not Greek; a very strange assortment. After realizing that if we ordered the same dishes we had always enjoyed we would have been paying twice the amount we decided to leave. Unbelievable that the new owners have so drastically altered the menu and are using the same name of the previous owners(it was a wonderful family run restaurant with exceptional food at a fair price). We are happy after reading all of the less than impressive views here that we didn’t stay. Something told us to run and we are glad we did. New York City prices in the Mountain Run Shopping Center in Albuquerque! Outrageous!

Greek food in Albuquerque is few and far between, but this place does it pretty well. We went as 3 and all ordered different things so as to try the menu. The gyro was a bit cumbersome, and the sauce was only in one area. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked and had great flavor with the red wine. The lamb sandwich with pesto was our favorite by far and super good. we will go back, but not on a weekly basis.

Extremely disappointing, unfortunately the change in ownership has resulted in a change in service and atmosphere. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, apparently that is not appreciated from the staff at Mykonos. We were there to celebrate our sons 21st birthday, the service was chilly, the food was not prepared well, my greek salad consisted of lettuce, 2 sliced tomatoes, and 2 olives, not even close to the description on the menu or close to what it was the last time we were there. My husbands Lamb was overcooked, and not even a happy birthday wish or offer of dessert. We felt so guilty for imposing upon this establishment that we ate a few bites without complaining, packed up the majority of our meals and left.

Very pleased today overall with the customer service and the food! Amanda was our server. She was very attentive and professional. We were thinking about ordering spanakopita for an appetizer, but she served us two, along with sour bread rolls and kick ass oil with herbs. The tilapia was well spiced and very moist. The burger was well cooked and the feta cheese was a nice compliment with the green chile.

Probably the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant of any type — nothing was fresh — they don’t cook, they assemble pre cooked commercially available items and they don’t even do a good job of that. Please save your money and eat somewhere else.

Our server was great! The décor was up to date and over all it was a good experience. We got the chicken souvlaki and the chicken was extremely dry and the veggies and rice pilaf seemed over cooked. They did give us a baklava on the house which was amazing. So I will come back and try something else. The bar seemed pretty cool for a happy hour cocktail and some apps.

When I walker into the restaurant I was agape at the look of the place, it looked really fantastic. Looking at the menu the price reflected it. I took out some food to go and then tasted the food… The food doesn’t even deserve one star. The moussaka has vegetables in it, which is NOT Greek at all, and then it comes with vegetables on the side which are quite bland. The snow peas are not even cooked right. They added Parmesan on top of the béchamel sauce… Why??? Just why would you do that ??? The avgolemino soup is not traditional and definitely not tasty. Instead of bits of chicken in the soup, there are literally CHUNKS. There is way too much lemon and the chicken is added in at the last minute, not cooked with the stock of the soup. I will never come back. I can’t believe I paid for a meal at that place.

Took my first trip to Mykonos this week. The remodel is beautiful. The staff is friendly. The food was terrific. We were served in a timely fashion, but the waiter was a bit overwhelmed. The Pastitsio was rich and tasty and the vegetable, potatoes, salad and bread that came with the meal were top notch. There is a nice atmosphere and plenty of free parking. It costs us $ 30 for two people which seemed reasonable since we’d probably spend that much most places we go. We will be back.

The new menu and renovations inside are stellar! The dipping oil and fresh bread are delicious and the house salad could almost be a meal in itself. I had the lamb shank — very good! The garlic mashed potatoes were the only bit of the meal that left something to be desired. With a wide menu, I look forward to trying more of their offerings!

Relieved sums it up best. I love having the place close to home and knew it had previously gone downhill so when I heard they had new owners and went there to try it, I was happily relieved. They were a little short staffed for lunch this weekend but ran their tails off to serve us. All the food was delicious and the décor is a bit nicer than it used to be. They brought us some spanakopita while we waited n our food. Really superior taste on those. The pitas were soft and warm and the salads crisp. My friend had a gyro and raved. I had the chicken pita, which was good but I would have preferred the souvlaki chicken on the pita — will know to ask next time. Mom had a fish special that looked delicious and picky old dad had greek chicken and actually ate most of it. That is enough for an extra star right there. We will be back and are grateful that we get to keep going to this neighborhood restaurant.

This restaurant is deceiving from the exterior. It is much larger and nicer inside. Not at all what I expected in the small strip plaza. We were seated promptly on a Friday evening. Service was fair. There was live music as well as a large TV playing sports channel nearby. I enjoyed the chicken gyro with fries and hubby enjoyed his pasta. Prices were a little higher but probably about right for the ‘niceness’ of the place. Good experience overall.

Spanakopita is delicious and it is served instead of bread which is fabulous! The food is very good and portions are reasonable, nice ambiance inside which is shocking since it’s located in a strip mall, a bit pricey but worth it! Our family tried the chicken scaloppine, lamb shank and roast chicken with creamy spinach orzo and tiramisu. The orzo and spanakopita are the bomb! We will def be going back

So I was a little nervous returning to this re-opened restaurant since I basically grew up eating in the original one… but I absolutely love the new menu! I had the most amazing sea bass, which was just a special for the night, but I haven’t been able to stop telling everyone about it. Seriously though, do you know how hard it is to find good fish in Albuquerque? And it’s even harder to find decent sea bass! You should definitely make this item a permanent one! The atmosphere of the restaurant was still fantastic. I liked the piano music in the background. And the drinks were definitely to my liking. The only two recommendations I have are to focus a little bit more on the tables in the back room. We were sat back there with our larger party, and the waitress still seemed really new and frankly, she had very poor serving etiquette. She still did a great job and it was a great experience, it was just a little cramped and I honestly felt bad for her. Lastly, please please please add the stuffed shrimp back to the menu. That was my absolute favorite dish in the old Mykonos and I really wish it was still in the menu.

I hadnt been to Mykonos in over 10 years I knew it was recently purchased by veterans in the restaurant community so I knew now that the restaurant was in good hands. They did an amazing job with the remodel it is now an upscale hip trendy change from the old Mykonos. As they say out with the old in with NEW! OPA! Hosted a girlfriends birthday event and they went above & beyond to assist with our needs with regards to a specific brunch menu, I was pleasantly surprised they kindly did so :) few restaurants will do that for anyone. Customer Service was Superior! I will agree that the menu is similar to the other establishments they own, but I love the fresh and delicious consistency that I have received at their other locations. High grade quality at its finest. The new trendy revisions really make it a great place to host your next private event. I am looking forward to the patio to open in the Spring/Summer time! This is the perfect location in the NE for a wonderful dining experience.

Tried this restaurant in its earlier incarnation, food was decent but the service was atrocious. The owners closed the place and reopened just recently. We decided to give the restaurant another try. Once again was extremely disappointed in the(lack of) service. The owners have a definite reputation in the community, but they seem to lack the resolve to provide appropriate service to their customers in a service related industry. We will never try this or any of the owners other 2 restaurants again and highly recommend that anyone that believes in customer service thinks twice before trying one of their establishments.

It’s been exactly one year since we’ve been and tonight was great! We went in for an early dinner and was seated right away. The restaurant has been remodeled and looks great. It was starting to look a little dated last year. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Also like the new menu some old items and updated new ones. They also have a better selection of chef specials instead on just one or two item written on a board. Management also offered the kids chocolate mousse which mom and dad enjoyed too. Won’t wait a whole year to go back!

It was my first visit to Mykonos(Oct 21, 2014). I’ve heard alot about this place. remodeled, new designs. That is true. However, I felt like the menu is a replica of Yanni’s and Nick &Jimmy’s. The bar nice, cute but that was it. It was a typical cocktail menu and wine. Bartenders were nice. didn’t make the atmosphere fun, exciting and welcoming. It was just not for me.

Most Delicious. Mykonos Restaurant reminds us of the way Yanni’s Restaurant used to be. A Friendly Welcome and Good Service. Perfectly cooked, delicious greek fare. It was also nice, how Mykonos honored Veterans. We recommend this restaurant. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Having read the previous reviews, I can only wonder if the previous owner’s friends got together to write poor reviews of the newly opened Mykonos. 6 of us went for dinner Thursday and we enjoyed it very much. Only one lady didn’t care for her entrée, and it was because she didn’t order what she thought she wanted. The waiter was attentive, friendly and quickly got answers for our questions about the menu. I ordered the Greek platter and it was excellent! As for it tasting like Greek food, it tasted like all of the Greek food I’ve had elsewhere including at a friend’s who lived in Greece for a while. My friend had the trout and loved it. Another lady had crab cakes and the Greek Salad which was huge and very tasty. They all loved the Greek Lemon Soup. We were very happy with our meals and loved the ambiance of this lovely restaurant. We definitely will go back!

I used to like this place under the previous owners. Finally decided to give it a try yesterday under new management. Although the service was decent(very mediocre, they don’t refill water and take quite sometime to seat you) the food was so overpriced and bland. With so many Greek restaurants in town, this place should have really invested in their cooking. It will survive because of the atmosphere but for good Greek food, I would stay miles away. They charge $ 6.95 for literally 2 tablespoons of hummus. Waste of $ 45.

We decided to give this another shot after they decided to take a year off doing whatever(if I left my customers for a year they wouldn’t be customers still). But we decided to give it another shot as they are in the neighborhood. Food still tastes and has texture of being microwaved and sat in a steam table all day long. Asked if I could have a look at the new kitchen and how they cook and was told no. Bottom line, food is way overpriced and you could microwave your own meal at home and get better results. Also note how they conveniently left behind their old Unilocal page with less than stellar reviews and started this new one. The cooking needed a remodel more than the atmosphere did guys…
