I love Ramen! And the fact that this is both Fresh and delicious is the best! They have great low prices and plenty of ramen per serving. I love the noodles. We try to visit when the craving hits. Staff has been pretty good, they get busy but always check for refills or accommodate special requests. :)

I was not feeling well when we decided to go out so I was a little trepidatious about the idea of food at all. I had the vegetarian ramen, and the ginger cleared my sinuses right up. It also tasted good and paved the way for me to have a green tea minty pot, which I recommend highly. I’m looking forward to going back when feeling 100% so that I can try some of the Japanese beers they import. My dinner companion had the deluxe ramen and we both had to take home leftovers, which were good heated up next day. All in all a place I look forward to visiting again.

Looking for a ramen fix right when I moved here from Texas. Cool interior, with an open kitchen and bar seating. Looked at the menu and as I typically do, couldn’t decide on what to get and over ordered. Ordered the tonkotsu ramen, a side of curry rice, and takoyaki(octupus balls). Started with the takoyaki and they were really good and comparable to the better ones I’ve had before. Next was the curry rice, and it was disappointing. Not much depth and flavor. Would not recommend. Last was the tonkotsu ramen, and I found it to be excessively salty. I don’t know if they were heavy-handed with the shio or what. The noodles had good texture, but the broth made the ramen not so enjoyable. Might give this place another chance, but this first experience makes me want to try the other ramen restaurant options available first.

Really nice Ramen place. It’s nice to have the Takoyaki Balls. Tried the Level 5 Spicy Ramen and almost cried. Their Ramen is still good. Just keep in mind that level 5 is really spicy… Then the chef working near the bar saw us almost crying, so he offered two red bean ice cream for free. So sweet.

Revisit your idea of ramen. Great food that happens to be trendy. What’s more hip than Ramen across for a college campus? Full points for the food, style aside. It is beautiful to look at with tasty broth and fresh noddles. I think I had Tonkotsu ramen; I know it was a pork based broth and I added nori, chashu and boiled egg. Because it is soup I pretended it was healthy and when to town on this savory, oily, carb loaded treat! This place makes one of my favorite comfort foods healthier and adds impressive variety.

Not your college dorm room ramen. I’ve been wanting to try this place forever and finally had the chance tonight. Located right by UNM campus. Really busy street but plenty of parking behind the building. Once you walk in you get almost like a hipster vibe. Tables are really close to each other with seating that looks directly into the kitchen. Place is a little dark, could be a good second date spot. I ordered the miso spicy ramen. They have 1 – 4 levels of spice and if you are brave you can order the 5 spicy which is supposed to be really hot. The chicken ramen looked really good gonna have to try that next time I go. A must try if you are in the area and craving some good ramen.

I gave it a lower rating because the first waitress who served me was not very attentive and took a while to take my order. The first soup I ordered, to me, was not my favorite and I told them I didn’t like it. I ordered their chicken broth based soup as a replacement and this one tasted a lot better. When I got my bill, they charged me for both of the soups even though I didn’t eat the first one. The only reason I give it a few stars is because the other waitress I had was very personable and the replacement was delicious. I don’t think I’ll come back to try it again. First impressions are important and I was not impressed.

Hubby and I visited this spot recently. We both had the pork broth. I opted for chicken instead of pork belly. I absolutely love the egg in it – it really adds to the wonderful richness of the soup. The soup had amazing flavor, umami, and a beautiful mouth-feel. The menu was just big enough, with a cheap-y option for struggling students or artists. They have a small selection of beer available as well. I will say, the broth is almost teetering towards oily, so if you’re a heartburn person, take something first!

Small place but tasty Ramen place. Definitely revisit the restaurant when I’m around the area.

This is a great restaurant. From what I’ve researched and know about ramen, the ramen served here is very authentic. Even if a customer gets a variation that’s a bit less authentic, it’s incredibly delicious. Last time I went, I got the deluxe ramen with chicken, and it was amazing! I also always get the takoyaki there, which you can’t find anywhere else in New Mexico, and it is just mouth-watering good. The service is also highly efficient – I’ve been there during my lunch hour, and I can literally order, eat, and get back to work in an hour because the service here is so fast and good. Also, this place serves Japanese craft beer that is tasty and can’t be found easily, at least not in New Mexico. All-in-all, this place is definitely a worthy visit and a place I’ve returned to a few times! Maybe I’ll even go tomorrow…

Came here after dental fillings, numb mouth, and found it hard to eat solid foods. We picked a ramen place since it’s right across from UNM and open. Since Naruto doesn’t open until 5pm. Very dark, mysterious with the red, white, and wood interior. With the Yoshida brothers instrumental animé theme music in the background? They say welcome to you in Japanese and some might have confusion culture shock. Why? Because it’s Albuquerque with very few authentic Asian restaurants. It’s a different setting. Don’t be surprised. Just walk in, find a table for two or group of people, and enjoy the good company. My recommendation to someone new to ramen is be adventurous and get the chasu ramen. Instead of the chicken ramen. Since that’s a first I’ve seen in a ramen restaurant. You might as well go to a Vietnamese restaurant for chicken phở. Got the menu and tried their spicy ramen, level 3. You can choose spicy level 1 to 5. About 15 minutes later got the ramen and comes out in a huge ramen bowl! Literally devoured the bowl, extra noodles are a must, and I must say the broth is delicious but the spicy level should have been a 5IMO. But I’ll save it for next time to take a walk on the wild side. It’s a neat ramen place but there is something missing. Maybe it’s because of their competition Naruto two doors down from them? :)

Ramen: a simple meal that can be topped off w/a variety of ingredients to make it even better. I, personally, am not a big fan of this place only due to the fact that the food is salted more than usual & that the quality/taste of the ingredients isn’t as fresh or high quality. I’ve given the curry a try & I’m more of a big fan on that than their ramen.

Just awesome. If you haven’t made O-Ramen a priority, get to it. Not only does Kenny and his team make amazing food they also care about our community. The broth is made in house and takes 24 hours to reach perfection. The broth has a buttery feel but has the taste of bacon/pork. To keep the flavor rolling, they add a myriad of topping and of course the noodles. He doesn’t serve anything he won’t feed his own family. Kenny is a symbol of what a community entrepreneur really is. He has taken the time to set up recycling for his restaurant and those around him. He also is committed to this single location so the quality of service and food is to the highest standard. Talk about a leader! Ramen of your youth is a VERY distant relative of what you you will find here. If there is a wait… Just know it is worth it.

So, I get upset at people who say they love Vietnamese food, especially when all they talk about is Phở. Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with phở, but there is SO much more than that in Vietnamese cuisine. I feel like that is going to happen with ramen and saying how much we looooooooove Japanese food… I’m sure ramen is only scratching the surface of their cuisine. BUT, I’m so happy this restaurant has made its way into Albuquerque. We went during lunch time and there was not a seat left without happy, soup-filled bellies. The broth, the toppings, the noodles… it all works so well together! Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the mood for delicious soup and at a decent price!

Solid ramen place, and a convenient stop after nerding out at Empire Games. The server didn’t blink an eye at my odd request for Tonkotsu broth with tofu instead of pork.(Vegetarian broth available for strict veggies.) The Tonkotsu broth was flavorful and creamy, and the breaded tofu was fried to an amazingly crispy state, though sadly it was pretty unseasoned — it needed a little salt at least. I was excited that they had imported Japanese beers that weren’t just lagers, though the IPA I ordered wasn’t to my taste. Great ambiance, would def return! Especially loved the art in the parking lot out back :)

Love ramen? This is your place. If you have had it anywhere else like in California it’s defiantly a new obsession but this ramen place located across from UNM is the best ramen you’ll find in New Mexico. It may not meet the level of restaurants in California but it is pretty good! However, it is pricey and the location is semi small but I really like the vibe. The service is always amazing and I really like how you can get different spice levels for you ramen.

Big bowls of ramen and very tasty curry. Oh oh oh O Ramen! Big bowls of soup! Hahaha. My friend Cameron thought that was funny. Anyway I love going to this place because they make the best curry in town, and the best bowls of ramen in town. I always have a tough decision to make when I come here due to the fact that I want both curry with rice, and the big bowl of ramen. It always comes down to a last minute decision on which one I want to have. I never liked curry before I had it here. The flavor is so delicious and mouth watering. Other restaurants and friends have made me curry before, but this place made me love curry. The bowl of ramen is so simple and yet so complex with all the flavors and spices that when I eat it I can’t put down my chopsticks because I can’t spot myself from eating the whole bowl in less than 5 minutes. I can always tell when a chef loves his job because he puts a ton of effort into every dish he makes. It is right by U.N.M. with paid parking street side, or paid parking just one block away.

This is an amazing find! Cheap fast eats that are hearty and fresh. It’s university district so parking can be a pain but it’s worth it The shop is small with small tables. I think it would be difficult to bring kids here just because the space is so tight. But the turnover is fast you’re in and out in a jiffy. In addition to the tables there is also bar seating. The menu is clear and offers a small selection but there is something for everyone. Beer, wine, and sake is also offered. It’s decorated very modern and trendy and it’s a treat to eat in. They offer carry out as well so you can order and go. I’ll be back again and again!

Pros: Cool, dimly lit, industrial interior Quick service Pretty inexpensive Darn good calamari salad Legit soy sauce marinated boiled eggs Cons: Tonkotsu should be bold, and hearty. — their version was thin, lightly flavored, and missing oomph.

I apologize in advance for my snootiness but after recently being to Japan and trying many bowls of ramen there I will be rating this, and other ramen shops, on their authenticity. My wife and I were actually on the way to another restaurant when we stumbled upon O Ramen and knew we had to change course and have lunch here instead. The atmosphere when you walk is pretty darn close a ramen shop in Japan! The only difference is that O Ramen was perhaps more modern than the authentic shops, nothing wrong with that though. The service here was top notch, it could not have been better. We were seated right away and within a few minutes we had our drink orders taken and I had a delicious Japanese beer in front of me in no time. I got the Aooni IPA from Nagano, Japan and it was really good! A fair price too for an import. For the ramen, my wife and I both got the Deluxe O Ramen with pork. It came out and looked delicious, a very fair representation of the Japanese cuisine. You can taste the«American» in it, though. I can’t think of a better way to explain it other than a slightly different taste where you can tell you’re in America. The meat and noodles tasted great though and the miso soup was just the right amount of spicy. I got the«4» level of spiciness. We also got an appetizer, the gyoza with chicken. This was also quite tasty but had an egg roll type of taste to it, whereas the authentic Japanese gyoza does not. To finish this review off, I would highly suggest this place and I will be back! The few differences in taste are understandable and if you ever have the opportunity to visit Japan you’ll know what I’m talking about
