This Presbyterian facility seems to be a secret. Most of the doctors are good, some very good, and most of them are trained at MD Anderson. They sponsor cancer support groups. They have a full range of chaplains, social workers, counselors, and financial advisors to help you find the best options. They listen and try to help. Pres is pushing Downtown and Rust on the West side, but you have many of the same doctors here. Your family is welcome to be with you at a doctor’s visit. Adequate parking doesn’t hurt either. The waiting room is small and pleasant. It’s clean. They have their puzzle table. I had trouble with a PCP, and my oncologist got on the phone. The PCP wasn’t happy, so my oncologist got hold of PHS, and I got a new PCP that I really like. This is so much better than the hassle driving and parking @ Downtown Pres, and beats the long drive to the West side, Rust Medical Center. It’s right by the I-40-Wyoming exit.
