Good sized portions of food. The Pad Thai is just alright, not the best I’ve had, it was lacking some of those flavors that make the dish pop, the sweet and spicy part. The crushed red peppers didn’t really do it for me.

The service was the best we’ve had in New Mexico and so was the food. I had been looking for a great Thai restaurant, I’m glad I chose this one. We will definitely be coming back.

No idea how this place has a 4 star rating. If you have never had Thai food anywhere then sure it’s 4 star.. The reality is a plate of rubber pad Thai noodles and mediocre sauce /flavoring is scraping by at a 2 star. Only good thing was the Thai tea and prevent wrapped after dinner cookie.

I have been eating at Siam Café or picking up take out once or twice a month for twelve years and this place never lets me down! I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal and service is always good. Love all the curries, the Pud Thai and fried rice. Really great place. Just finished eating some take out and it made my night. Yum!

My favourite Thai place in Albuquerque! Everything is delicious, but my favourites are the spring rolls, papaya salad, pad thai. The soups are all amazing too, especially the tom yum. Service is friendly and attentive even when the place is super busy. I’ve never done it, but Siam Café seems to be a popular takeout place too, judging by the numerous takeout orders that are picked up every time I’m there.

The service here at Siam is top notch. Very friendly waitresses and staff. I had the Tom Kha and it was delicious. And with a side of rice it makes a good meal enough for two people. The drunken noodles were out of this world. As was the clay pot of tea that never seemed to run out! Overall it was a great experience. Please come check them out!

I have eaten at Siam Café no less than a dozen times, and have never been disappointed. The service is always very friendly, the food is delicious, and they give you an almond cookie after the meal. The masaman curry is amazing!

I went Siam Café with dear sisters. I ordered the«Drunken Noodle with Chicken. It was medium Hot and plenty of food for lunch and very reasonable price. I would lik to try Coconut curry sometime soon.

On the food alone I would give them a 4.5, but the service pulls them down, takes a while to get seated then the drinks and that theme continued for the rest of my visits. The food however makes the wait worthwhile if you have time for a long lunch, or dinner.

My second week in ABQ and I have tried two other Thai places. By far the best so far! Service is prompt and polite, not too much conversation with the relatively young staff. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, twice now, and was very impressed with the consistency. Order Medium-Hot and was not hot enough for my taste. If you aren’t afraid of spicy food good for the Thai Hot. Also sampled the Thai Iced tea, not the best I’ve had but worth the $ 3 if you have a sweet tooth craving. I’ve got another two weeks here and I’ll make another stop before I head out of town.

Being that I am a pretty big Thai snob I have been trying to find a great place in the 505 to get my fix as it were. A friend turned me on to Siam Café and I have been a fan ever since. I have found my orders to be pretty consistent and the staff to be quite friendly. As far as my favorite dish goes it’s the best I have found in the area. I get there about once a week or so depending on my schedule.

An okay meal, but not the greatest experience. I came here by the recommendation of a local and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to see a sign that read«now serving vegan.» As far as vegan goes, not one item on these menu was listed as vegan. In fact, through the veggie section, most of the options had egg or were otherwise not vegan. This was kind of a letdown for me. I was hoping for some mock meat dishes or something otherwise intriguing. Instead, the only options were curry with tofu, an appetizer or two and noodles, at least from what I could see. We started with an appetizer of spring rolls. When I think of spring rolls, what we got was nothing of the sort. Maybe it differs for Thai food, but I felt like I was eating grass wrapped in rice paper with a thin slice of a raw tofu inside. Literally. At least the peanut sauce was good, so I poured a ton over my roll. My friend was also quite surprised when it came out, so neither of us were impressed. Our 3rd friend didn’t even want to try one. I ordered the pineapple curry with tofu. While the two friends I was with got their meal at the same time, my dish was nowhere to be found. Maybe it was lost, or perhaps it was forgotten, but it didn’t come out until about 10 minute later. How was it? It was actually fairly good, but not as spicy as I was hoping or expecting from a «spicy» option. Since the staff was friendly and meant well, I can’t knock them too much, but I was simply not thrilled by the whole experience. The food was inconsistent, but the big thing for me was the lack of actual vegan options. Even when I asked our waitress about what was vegan, she seemed to hesitate. If you’re going to post a sign that says you«now serving vegan», maybe it’s time for an exclusively vegan menu or a staff that can recommend vegan options.(Or better yet, label what is vegan!) I forgot to mention that we were also overcharged for an extra dish. They doubled up one dish, which is hard to do when you’re only serving three patrons. I wouldn’t come back unless a friend wanted to go. Thai Vegan was much better.

I have been a regular here for quite some time. The food here is very consistent and the portions are a plenty. A no frills Thai eatery. No orchid flowers on the dishes. No fancy presentations. The décor is rather lacking but that’s ok — I come here for the food and the decent portions. I highly recommend the Panang Curry dish.

This is now one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the city. I’ve been to many tasty Thai places here, but Siam Café is just the best. My sister and I took out dad out for his first Thai experience here– was super successful. The Tom Kha is delicious– best I’ve had anywhere in Albuquerque. I can’t stop thinking of the perfect creamy coconut hot and sour yumminess! Pad Thai was impressive, as well as the Green Curry. Certainly no lack in use of coconut milk amounts. They also offer a brown rice option. Spring Rolls were also good. I have no complaints about anything here.

Fansy for some Thai food? Have never tried Thai food before? Or afraid it might kill you? btw, it won’t. Give Siam Café a try. I have been going here for the past 10 years now, and rarely have I been disappointed by them. The restaurant is small, and easily missed if you don’t pay attention to an awkward, sharp right turn if headed N on San Mateo or wait about a millennium before you can make a left turn and then an awkward, sharp turn. It could be packed during peak times, lunch or dinner. If you are planning on going with a group of 5 or more, I would call ahead and make a reservation. 1. Appetizers: they have a relatively decent menu for this, my favorites ones are: papaya salad(done the Thai style vs. the Laotians style), fried tofu: these are crispy, fresh and delicious deep fried pieces of tofu, the sauce that comes with this was also delicious, sweet but not too sweet, with the aroma of fish sauce and the freshness of cucumber. 2. Entre: you can either order individual dishes, or do family-style. If you have not tried padthai before, try it. It is one of the most famous Thai dishes here in the US. I also like their drunken noodle, and Hawaiian fried rice. With the Hawaiian fried rice, you can select to have it done with shrimps, chicken, beef, pork, veggies or a combination of all of those. Their fried rice is probably the best here in ABQ that I have tried at a Thai restaurant. Moist, soft and well seasoned rice, with pineapple, touch of mint, basel, and finish it up with cashew and pepper. You can also try their Tom Yum Soup, too. Personally, I am not a huge fan of this, due to the fact that it lacks the sweetness that I am used to when I first introduced to this course by my Thai friend. It is not bad at all, you might like it. 3. Desert: my favorite would be sticky rice with coconut and mango. Boy, the sticky rice was perfectly cooked, submerged in a rich coconut milk sauce, heated them up together so the stickily rice absorbed all those fresh, rich coconut milk into of the rice. It’s served with the golden, ripe pieces of mango, which has a full, fruity aroma. Service might be a bit slow but the owner and his wife are pretty fast. They come and check on you periodically. Drinks are decent, not bad at all. I always go for the Thai ice tea.

As far as a quick and tasty Thai meal is concerned, this place delivers. I was tasked with picking up some food for the office, and this place was nearby, so it came to be that this is where I decided to pick up said food. Even though I hadn’t called in, they were very quick about getting the food out, and it was all very tasty. Friendly staff, too. I’d like to come back here and actually try a sit-down meal. It seemed a nice enough place, clean, with fun décor.

I agree with the reviews that this place has recieved. I’ve been twice now and I think this is my new favorite thai restaurant. I haven’t had much thai in my life, but I’m enjoying exploring this awesome selection of food. Between 11 and 2, they have a menu full of lunch specials for $ 7.95-$ 8.95 and you get to choose between chicken, pork, shrimp, and beef. The specials include a small bowl of soup. I’ve had the Pud Chili and the Red Curry. Lets start with the soup. It has green onions and tofu, and actually reminds me a lot of miso. And I love miso. The Pud chili was really flavorful and full of veggies including mushrooms, basil, onion, and bamboo shoots. I thoroughly enjoyed the red curry, too. It had broccoli, cabbage, bamboo shoots, and onions. I could taste the peanut-y, coconut milk goodness. I’ve had the thai coffee twice and it’s a delicious(but sweet) treat. The only thing I didn’t like about my dishes was that they had a chili by them in the menu indicating that they were«hot and spicy» and they were no where near hot and spicy. I mean, maybe my idea of hot and spicy is different(i’m an avid fan of capsaicin)…but I tasted no heat at all. I think next time I stop by I may ask them to make it «extra spicy». It costs $ 2 to upgrade to brown rice, which is a little pricey. The service is decent. It was good the first time and so-so the second. This place can get pretty hoppin’ and they ran out of the soup when I arrived at 1PM my first time, so get there early if you can.

I’ve been a Siam Café customer for over 15 years. I like it that each time my family and I go there, the workers always greet us no matter how much or little time has gone by. I’m a big fan of their Pad Thai. I like it that they have meat, vegetarian, and vegan options to satisfy our family’s omnivore and herbivore preferences. If I ever move away from Albuquerque, I will definitely tell the Siam Café family that I will miss them. For now, I can enjoy great tasting food with good prices.

This little place is easy to miss. It’s small and understated, near a Subway. It would be sad not to give this place the recognition they deserve since they could almost get lost in the midst of large Taco Bueno, Taco Bell, KFC, and Wendy’s signs. They have recently remodeled the place and re-done the menu(which really needed to be done). During lunch, they serve egg-drop soup. I think that’s weird, personally since it’s a Thai restaurant, but I’m not going to be the one to burst their bubble and it’s pretty tasty. I digress… I have had the papaya salad which is light, crunchy and refreshing. I’ve also had the chicken salad, which was good. My favorite, though? The curries and the soups. They are amazing. I have hooked several friends on this little hole-in-the-wall. You can order the level of heat you’d like. The curry I get is made with coconut milk. It’s rich, creamy, spicy, and has a little tang of lemongrass. The soups are something to rave about. Perfect balance of veggies, broth, and meat(or tofu if you’re weird like me).
