The server, Bianca, was great. We sat in an area near the bar where no server stopped by. I got the attention of a young woman server and she took it upon herself to wait on us although not her area and didn’t wait to consult a manager, great initiative. The food is inconsistent and seasonal. They add and subtract dishes from the menu all the time. One of my favorite dishes was bacon wrapped scallops on a bed of green chile grits. But it is no longer on the menu. The cocktails are pretty good if Evan is making them. Try the Green Goose, martinis, and margaritas. Red chile sliders need more meat and cheese but are still tasty. Steaks are decent but may vary due to inconsistent cooks. If it’s busy, it’s better to move on another venue.

Had to write a review after reading the others. The green chile stew is phenomenal. Their drinks are awesome. This service is always good. The red chile sliders, solid! Check it out. You won’t be disappointed. Oh yeah, green chile meatloaf is very good too!

Went here this morning for Mother’s Day brunch with a fairly large group – a party of ten. My parents arrived early and received the beeper to assure that we had a seat as we were sure they would fill up quickly due to the holiday. They arrived at 10:15am and the seating began at 11:00am. Our entire party arrived by 10:45am, and we even told them that we were 1 less than originally planned. And we waited, and waited, and waited… until nearly an hour passed! One member of our group checked in again and the response was, we are still trying to figure out how to seat your party?! Really?! By this time, the restaurant was full and some parties were finished eating. Our friend then advised them to take an 8 top in the back and add 2 chairs, which they did. We were all seated and drink orders taken, and the waiter was very courteous. And yet another wait began. We had to ask twice for 2 extra place settings. Drinks were promptly refilled. I realize the restaurant was busy, but it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. If it wasn’t a holiday/we had out of town guests/had other food options there, etc. we probably would have left, and it’s a good thing we all enjoy each other’s company! The food was hot when it arrived, and everyone did enjoy what they had, though my steak with my steak and eggs was properly cooked to medium rare but pretty fatty. After all this, the waiter apologized but nothing else was done to make up for the lengthy waits as we saw other parties who came after us come and go. My parents said it was never this bad before. I don’t know if I’d ever again return on a holiday! Kudos to the waiter for remaining so calm and kind though!

I wasn’t expecting much since it was the only place open on Christmas Eve. It actually turned out to be amazing local cuisine from New Mexico. Our waitress was amazing, very friendly, accommodating and never let our water go empty. She had such a good attitude even though she had to work on Christmas evening. Would definitely go again! Try the short rib tamale. Delicious!!!

It’s not often that I walk out of a restaurant after being seated, if fact I can’t remember when it happened last but last night my wife and I walked out of The Council Room. First we went upstairs to Bein Shur and noted about half the tables were occupied. After being told that their kitchen was overwhelmed and we could not order food for at least 40 minutes at the Sandia Resort’s roof top restaurant we came downstairs to eat at The Council Room. This is a weeknight at 7 pm, come on! We were seated and given menus in The Council Room and then… nothing. We waited and looked for a waiter and waited and hoped for a glass of water, a drink, a word that someone would be right with us but no service was available. After about 10 minutes we went to look for the hostess, but she was not at her station. I finally found her in the bar and told her we were leaving and why. The place was full of gamblers so I can only assume that the Sandia Resort could care less about their food service as long as their slots and tables are occupied. 0 stars!

The staff is so wonderful here. Love the green chile meatloaf and the green chile mashed potatoes. Steaks are good too here but not amazing. Love their breakfast! The kids pancakes look like Mickey Mouse.

Typical hotel breakfast food, service is average unless served by a manager then it’s much better. I’ve been here for lunch and late dinner a couple times, I’d suggest getting the cheeseburger or baby back ribs — very good and not pricy. Very convenient if staying at the resort.
