We always request Eva, she is the BEST!!! Food is awesome, green or red rule here, but green chili is what I prefer. The portions almost always are bigger than necessary, but we rarely take home anything… LOL. Hash browns come with most breakfast meals, pancakes are great, our daughter LOVES the chicken Caesar salad. The cinnamon roll is decadent. Each Weck’s we have been too has been great, but Eva is a server at the Holly Ave location, so that is where we go!

My family and I are regulars here. Our favorite waitress is Eva. Ask for her and you won’t be disappointed. We have had a wide variety from the breakfast menu and my daughter and wife have had more than a few dishes from the lunch side. No complaints yet so Weck’s is doing something right. Kid friendly and if you are from out of town this is definitely one to try. One last thing is you won’t leave hungry portions are large and my favorite it’s always hot!

It’s like an IHOP or Village Inn chain with a southwest flavor. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekends. It’s popular with locals. They are generous with their portions. I like the bowls because it is like a New Mexican version of Hawaii’s loco moco. I usually get the carnitas with green chile and over medium eggs. When I feel like eating healthier, I’ll get the egg white omelette with veggies. Great place to take the family.

Being the first time at Weck’s was a great experience. When we arrived I thought oh man it’s kind of packed here were gonna wait a while. Although we didn’t, we were sat promptly. The menu was easy to read. And the prices were usual for the area. The food servings are HUGE and the food in itself is very yummy. Our waiter was great too! Can’t wait to be back in ABQ, to eat here again.

I love this place. Like, do the happy dance every time I think about it. The food is to die for… Everything is enormous, so make sure you’re hungry when you go. My Okie husband gets the biscuits and gravy when he goes, my folks get the huevos, kids get the pancakes with chocolate chips and whipped cream and I get the omelette with ham and cheese or the crunchy quesadilla with enough veggies to choke a horse. Everyone is happy and a nap is usually in order by the time we leave… Lots of tasty carbs will do that to you! We particularly love that they will give you plastic cups to go for your drinks… And they have the pebble ice that my husband loves. The chile is hot and there’s plenty of it. The service is always top-notch. They train the staff to stay on top of their tables, keep the drinks topped off, and make sure the kids are taken care of. I’ve never had a bad experience in the dozens of times I’ve eaten there… Never. The atmosphere is all business… Wecks has a huge following, and you don’t keep that many people happy by dawdling around with your service. They get people in, get them fed, and get them on with their day. I’d love it if they were a little cozier, maybe with some booths, but then I know it would take forever to get in… You can’t have everything, right? I think I’d be much crankier(and much thinner) if Wecks wasn’t in Albuquerque… It’s a way of life for us.

Found this on my visit to Albuquerque from Texas. Now I had some people tell how great there food was but I like to try things for myself. I decided to pop in a try what they were known which is great art in the walls and great sauces which are red or green or you’re feeling cray you can get them both which we did. I had gotten the 3eggs omelette with Ham and hash browns with the red and green sauce which was beyond delicious. I highly recommend it was awesome.

I always enjoy coming here. The service is absolutely amazing every time. The food is always pretty good too. The portions are extremely generous and served hot. I feel like the food is a little«white» though. The chile is ok, but needs some good New Mexican lovin. The beans taste like they come out of a can, but I always seems to finish my plate. The green Chile stew has carrots in it… weird, but still tasty. I never leave with less than a happy, full belly.

Papas Hash browns tasted boiled rather than fried. with very little chille. And a French vanilla coffee costs $ 3.50. The manager did offer to replace it, but it was too late by then. Not going back for a long long time

Delicious and their«value menu» is definitely worth it(see pic I posted). My nephew and I both ordered the 3 egg omelette. I ordered mine Christmas style… if you’re not from NM, that means smothered/drenched in red AND green chile. I also ordered my hash browns extra crispy. Our orders came out quickly and perfect! The red chile had a great flavor and wasn’t spicy… but the green, that had a kick and I loved it! Will definitely be back!

Yummy! The breakfast was awesome! I tried the carne adovada papa bowl with red chile and it was very good! Also tasted the old time omelette with green chile very tasty! Best breakfast I’ve had in ABQ! Service was great as well!

This location is our go-to breakfast spot. The service is always great and there is always PLENTY of yummy food. My favorite is their egg white omelet and coffee. The papas are delicious as well. I prefer the carne adovada instead of their chile sauces.

Nor like the old Wecks I remember… it used be really good… the breakfsst burrito and papascwas good… but not great. The burrito at first is dry and need of much drenching of that chili verde. Cone on folks! Get better at quality than quantity.

I love the portions in this place. HUGE. I like the papas, myself. There’s a variety to choose from. Also, you should know that the large drinks are really large. 32oz. large. Do yourself a favor, and don’t order a large V8. That’s a sodium overload. Friendly staff, large, open space. Good for groups, and the prices are reasonable.

I recently moved back to Albuquerque after a six year hiatus. Before moving away, I had been to Weck’s once or twice but never really formed a strong opinion about it. After moving to Dallas and being starved of the chile that makes New Mexican food so great I learned to really love this place. There is a Weck’s in Lewisville(a suburb of Dallas) and it was the only place I found that had authentic NM style chile. In Lewisville, Casey, the GM, stopped by our table one morning and upon finding out we were from ABQ shared the story of how Weck’s came to be in Lewsiville. He was a really nice guy and made a good impression. So, when I recently moved back I was pleasantly surprised to find a Weck’s had opened up close by on Paseo and Louisiana. The new location has a 50s diner décor that is reminiscent of Yesterdave’s, but much brighter and cleaner. The staff is friendly and the food is awesome. WARNING: Come HUNGRY! The menu consists of breakfast and lunch, served all day until they close at 2pm. I’m sure the sandwiches are good, but if it’s your first time the thing to try is one of the«papas» dishes or the huevos rancheros. The papas are a huge plate of hashbrowns, topped with cheese and red or green chile(YAY) and some eggs. You have your choice of some other toppings like carne adovada, pollo, sausage, or gravy. Usually I eat my eggs scrambled, but here I have to go over easy/over medium because something about that gooey egg mixing with the cheese and chile is just to die for. So, I was gonna write a little more but just thinking about that papas plate has got me salivating, so I’m going to have to finish up another time. PS I would give it 5 stars if they had booths.
