This is my favorite Irish pub in town. I only wish it were on the west side. It’s terrible having to drive 45 mins to get across town to Two Fools. Plenty of great beer, and good dinner choices as well. When the inlaws are in town and looking for an Irish bar, this is where we go.

Amazing food but the restaurant is very small and cramped. It’s like that for a reason though and that is because the food is amazing. I would definitely recommend their locally famous fish and chips and I would also recommend trying to go early.

Great comfort food especially in the winter. I always order the fish and chips because I’m boring and they are awesome. Service is friendly and prompt. Great atmosphere and space.

I just want to say it’s a «tavern» that does not serve any shots at all, the waitress refused to make a vodka tonic a double, and they don’t serve Irish Car Bombs, either. Supposedly this is due to them trying to keep their liquor license, although I’ve been to taverns around the country and other parts of the world and was never told that they don’t serve shots. Pretty ridiculous. I honestly think they should change their name.

I didn’t know what to expect when I walked into Two Fools, but I was happily surprised. The entire places has been replicated to look like an Irish or maybe English pub. They did a pretty good job with the wood work, working fireplace, and gorgeous bar. I do wish they’d used actual chairs however instead of stools. The service was friendly and fast though I could do without the knee socks and school girl skirts on the servers. I mean come on, that’s just hokey, I’ve never seen anyone serve in a pub across the pond in that kind of get-up unless it’s a tourist trap. Food though, I had the award winning fish and chips and could absolutely understand why it wins awards. Light batter, flaky succulent fish, and the apple slaw were phenomenal. Really out of sight. If you love fish and chips this is the place for you. I went during work hours so couldn’t enjoy any of the beer or whisky, but plan to return and work my way through the entire menu… food and drink.

What can I say? Best fish and chips on earth, I can get a Kilt Lifter beer, and an amazing staff.

I really want to love this place, especially with its decent fried fish(chips still leave much to be desired), Guinness beef stew, and pale ale. We’ve been coming here for years, as it’s one of the few places where my British partner feels relatively at home. Tonight, though, the corned beef and cabbage came with a lot of salt, meat that takes five minutes to chew each bite, and a piece of stainless steel. Having lived in Europe for some time, I don’t recall having stainless steel with Celtic food! The server, looking unenthusiastic, did apologize and we didn’t have to pay for that dish. We also wanted to have a few drinks tonight, but since each drink takes 15 minutes to receive, we just left after our tasty stainless steel. We were going to pay with card, but we knew we would wait another 15 minutes(after already waiting 15 minutes for the bill), so we left some cash even though we didn’t even have enough to cover a 10% tip. We’ll still go back when we get the craving for fried fish(with a side of not-so-great chips), and when we have 15 minutes to wait for each drink. Maybe we’ll sit at the bar next time, and maybe we’ll skip stainless steel at home, so we can have it here instead!

I wanted to love the fish and chips, but I only liked them. The fried fish was excellent — light and crispy batter with a perfect amount of crunch. The chips were just the opposite — limp, soggy, slivers of potatoes that tasted like old oil. I’m a girl that believes in second chances, so I’ll be back for another go!

Fantastic Irish breakfast with a Guinness. They go hand in hand like Red and Green. In true New Mexico fashion, Two Fools Tavern is sure to surprise because it steps out of the usual pub, while still embracing it’s Duke City roots. The service here was great, the Irish breakfast was delicious to the last bite! Lastly, this is a great location, off Central. If you’re in the mood for something different or maybe a little bit of live music during brunch, Two Fools Tavern is a sure bet on the Irish.

A sports bar that doesn’t show paperview fights… what sport do they watch? Darts?

WOOHOO! It’s getting colder and the days are shorter so it’s time to move from the Fish and Chips with a lager to the Boxty with Guiness Stew and a hot toddy! If you haven’t learned Two Fools has the best Fish and Chips in ABQ I’d like to thank you for reading my review first, you’ll see a trend here shortly. Huge selection of whiskies, good tap beers and AMAZING fries! Be careful, they plan to stay open and avoid liquor violations so if you want to drink until you’re laying in the middle of Central, you’ll need to go a few doors down.

Well now that the Long John Silvers closed Two Fools has the BEST fish and chips in Nob Hill. BOOM! I’m a little concerned that I haven’t reviewed this place. Apparently, it doesn’t need my help as there is often a huge line out the door. I would probably take some of my out of town friends here to help deliver the well earned impression that Albuquerque is hip and happening and that there are all these great Irish pubs with exotic Irish stew and Bodingtons on tap. I think they are probably one of the key draws to nob hill. The thing is, and this is the thing: Nobody goes there anymore because it’s too crowded.

I love this place! Usually the default«date night» spot for the wife and I. The only issue is an unavoidable one when you have a popular spot, the wait. Sometimes you can wait a while before you can sit. But the service is fast and friendly, so it’s usually easy to forget the wait time by the end of your visit. All of the food is good and the whiskey selection is top notch.

I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner this evening at Two Fools. We met some family members here around six(on a Monday evening) and were able to find parking and get a table without waiting. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was attentive without being pushy and ensured that we had all that we needed. Our food was well-prepared and brought out extremely quick, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the single order of fish and chips($ 9.99) and found it delicious. The fish was fresh and lightly battered. The chips were thinly sliced and fresh. You could tell that they used real potatoes. The other couple we were with ordered the same thing(larger order $ 14.99) and sung the exact same praises. My hubby ordered the bangers and mash and cleaned his plate. For dessert, my hubby and I split the Guinness brownie and our friends split the Bailey’s cheesecake. We were shocked that the desserts were priced less than $ 5. Say what?! So cheap. This is a great little Irish pub located in Nob Hill with a great atmosphere and amazing service. AND, the food won’t let you down. Come check this place out!

Delicious food, great bar, good service. What more do you want? This place is well-known for their fish and chips. Delish. But there are plenty of other fantastic food choices too. You won’t be disappointed.

Fish & Chips. If you try nothing else, try their fish and chips. Their fish and chips definitely beat out the fish and chips I had in Ireland! They also have a fantastic selection of draft beers and liquors(plenty of Irish whiskey and scotch). The only downside is that this place gets packed during lunch, dinner, and late night.

Food: Fresh, tasty, and authentic. There is something for everyone –salads, burger, sandwiches, lunch, dinner, breakfast– I have never had a bad item. Guinness stew is rich and deep. The corned beef hash breakfast is tasty and satisfying. Atmosphere: Fun, comfortable, Traditional live music Sundays. Staff: Pretty awesome. Tasty beverages: Whiskey! Scotch! Beer! Cider! Seasonal infused concoctions made in house. We have been patrons for years. Recently went to a scotch pairing dinner. It was a fun, informative, elegant dinner at a fair price. 4 courses paired with a total of 7 scotches. I’ll be doing that again.

This usually is one of our favorite Nob Hill spots but unfortunately our Saturday outing wasn’t so good. Now don’t get me wrong the food was amazing and we love the atmosphere but the service was just mediocre… It was obvious that our server just didn’t want to be there. Not until she brought us our bill did she smile — so very obvious! Unfortunately for her the tip showed our disappointment. Please please hire servers who have a desire to be in your establishment.

So I’ve been on occasion before. Always good service but tonight Summerfest was a reason to give 5 stars. First off, the doorman had an Adidas official Two Fools shirt(For god sake get him short sleeves for summer!). After being seated our server Brianna kept pace. Mind you this is Summerfest, it’s super busy but the Two Fools staff was on point, our food and drinks were promptly delivered. The whole experience was a 5 star, you know how things go when it gets busy, tonight was an exception to that rule! On to the food and drink, both were promptly served. I go here for fish and chips, this go I ordered the one fish as opposed to two it fit’s a bit better as I’m always watching my diet, I guess. The fries, they’re outstanding, they are *beyond* good, the coleslaw has apples in it, the tartar sauce is mellow but still outstanding. I left tonight thinking this was totally the cap to a great evening at Summerfest. I’ll be back to Two Fools Tavern, if you’re in Nob Hill give them a go!

I have been dreaming of the nachos and blue cheese dip since I left this place! NACHOSTODIEFOR! I felt like dying, actually, because I was so stuffed full of nachos and beer when I left I swore I’d never eat nachos again. That lasted a few hours, by morning I was ready for some more! The real sad part is all the lonely nachos I had to leave on my plate because I literally could not fit any more into my belly. I had a beer that I believe was a Fullsail Bourbon Stout… I don’t remember the name but I do remember it was 10.4% abv. It might have been the strongest beer I’ve ever had, and was delicious. I am not a bourbon drinker, but I felt like I was while I was nursing this beer. It gave me that feeling like the cilia in my nose might burn off from the fumes when I tilted the glass for a sip. This place is super dark. It’s so dark I didn’t have to be self-conscious about people judging my muffin-top while I scarfed down the nachos. I’d been here a few times before while meeting my family after a Lobos game, but it had always been day light so I hadn’t appreciated the darkness. I am going to go ahead and say that it’s a good thing this place is too far for me to visit regularly because otherwise I would have to go to nacho and blue cheese dip rehab. I recall trying a Guinness Brownie here a few years back that was also delicious. Come here hungry, you won’t regret it! Well, maybe you will when you’re in your food coma, but that wears off.
