Had a very nice dinner tonight. Service was great and the food was very good. Two people in my party had the sirloin tips and I had the stuffed salmon — very, very good. The salads were a nice size too with very nice greens and fresh tomatoes. Yes, there is a bar there but we didn’t find it to be distracting or loud. I haven’t been there for years, but it’s as nice as I remember. We will be returning for sure!

I’ve been here(1) Time and that’s all it took for me to find out. You really don’t get what you pay for. I had a Salad so small it was on a saucer. I asked if the rest was coming out with my meal. The food is not to my liking and I just don’t go back. I also don’t like sitting where the people at the Bar are loud and talk like they are the only ones there. So Yes I’ve had Better and have no plans on giving this place any more of my time or money

This was about my fifth visit and used to rave about this neat place. The last time I was there was at least 3 or 4 years ago. This visit inspired me to write a review. There is clearly a problem with the steaks. I know a good steak and when you pay about 30 bucks for a Delmonico that comes out burnt, tough as Hemp rope, and tasteless you might feel a little slighted. I love a good char on the meat but this was beyond that. The meat was flavorless and what i would expect from a growth hormone, antibiotic filled, grain fed beef to taste like. It is what I would expect if the steak cost 2 to 3 bucks but it was $ 30. The steak probably cost 2 or 3 bucks for the restaurant. I took the burnt steak home figuring that my dog would eat it. The dog got sick and puked, probably from all the black charring. I hope this place steps up their wholesaler and provides better quality for their customers before they have no costumers left. Would like to end on a positive note. waitress was very nice and helpful. Food came out on time. I had oysters in a half shell and they were on point. My wife had scallops augratin and was pleased. Please get better quality beef Maple Grove.

I useto love this place and it was worth the money. This time unfortunately it was not good. All five of our steaks were over cooked and I asked for medium that was cooked well, my dads gf was charred and tough like beef jerky. The loaded baked potato are like the ones that come frozen out of a box. Versus last time it has real bacon and real sour cream and real cheese. It was my birthday so I looked forward to eating there as it’s the place to go when it was flavorful and steaks were cooked perfect. For 200.00 and everyone’s meal was unsatisfactory, I unfortunately won’t be ranting and raving about how good they are. This was my go to place for a good steak. I wonder what happened

Great food and great atmosphere. My wife and I each ordered steak which came out perfect. The salad was fresh and crisp. There was no host/hostess when we walked in, though so we waited for a little until someone noticed we were there. I would definitely go back. I’d like to try the bar sometime too, It looked inviting.

Best steaks in the Lehigh and Berks counties and so very reasonably priced too. The people who complain about slow service have to understand that every steak is prepared on the grill. You can watch your steak being cooked. Dinner should be an event. If you want fast food go somewhere else. The Maple Grove is a gem and hopefully it stays that way.

With a heavy heart I write this review. My dad use to bring me here for special occasions. I loved it. I didn’t want to write a bad review, but I just had my last bad experience here. This was my 3rd visit in the past year and each time has gotten progressively worse. Let’s start with parking, what a joke, no spots and its not paved(ladies leave the fancy shoes at home). We sat right next to the fake fireplace and were absolutely freezing. Our meals came out cold to at best a luke warm. The steaks no matter how they were ordered came out black and charred. Never order the twice baked potato(disgusting) or the crab cakes(all filler). Old school charm has apparently won over the regulars, but this somewhat regular is done with the Inn at Maple Grove.

Love this place! Don’t be deceived by the outside of the building as it is a very old looking stone building and not too appealing(built in 1783 and legend has it that the place is haunted!) However inside it is charming and quaint. It’s a relatively small place with a bar at one end and a large fireplace at the other end. In the middle are a bunch of tables. Wood beams are exposed, windows are drafty but it is such a cozy place. Service is very friendly and attentive! Our server told us all about the history of the building and about«Charlie» the Indian ghost who was hanged in their fireplace. I had the Delmonico steak which comes with soup or salad and a potato(stuffed, baked or fries) or veggies of the day. I love their homemade bleu cheese dressing so I also requested a side for my fries. Years ago they used to have batter dipped fries(which I loved!) but now they have a thicker potato wedge type fry(still good). My steak was really good. They don’t use seasonings on it, it’s just a good old fashioned charbroiled steak. I personally do like a little seasoning which is the only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars. That is just my personal preference though… I do realize this way is actually preferred by many. Anyway, it was huge! I ate until I was full and still took home probably ¾ of the steak. My husband had the lobster tail which he raved about. My son had a chicken sandwich which he thought was just ok(That’s because he’s a kid and this was a REAL, charbroiled chicken breast and not a fried patty from KFC lol… I’m sure the adults would love it) No ghost sightings this time, but we’ll be going back for another glimpse!

A nice restaurant near a ski resort in rural Pennsylvania. A fairly extensive menu focusing on steaks and traditional dishes like shrimp scampi and veal parmigiana. The food is prepared in a fairly heavy manner but fresh and well prepared. I like a lighter fare and had an excellent maple-glazed baked salmon which was delicious. Also a nice selection of fresh deserts. Service was attentive and pleasant.

Food was warm bit not hot. Staff tries but service extremely slow. It seems they want to be a 5 star restaurant with their pricing but the staff are not trained. The ambiance was nice but it is a split between the bar with the local riff raff and the dining area with tables covered in linen. It’s a restaurant trying to figure out who they want to cater to. I have been seated for 80 min and still waiting for my main course. You can be the corner tavern or a five restaurant not both.

I used to like this place. I live one mile away and have been there many times. I will not be back after tonight. I sat at the bar and had to ask for a menu and a beer. I would have ordered a soup but I could not get the attention of the bartender. When my food came I had no silverware. I had ordered 2 appetizers and then when my entrée arrived I had only a knife. I paid my bill with a generous tip and left. So sad to see the service here is so disappointing. And the food is so good… I left my uneaten baked potato and filet on the bar. I am not interested in going to a restaurant that operates like that.

We have been here twice in the past 6 months. Love the rustic charm of this old inn. Very cozy, quaint. Food is traditional, old school favorites. Things you don’t find on menus much any more. Very good steaks just grilled properly. No fancy sauces. Old school surf and turf, broiled seafood platters with a good size lobster tail. I think there was actually a half ducking on the menu. Clams casino, snapper soup, French onion soup. This is a menu back in time, but it still works. The prices are commensurate with the quality, but this place is not inexpensive. But worth the cost. Every now and then it’s nice to see a menu with the oldies and not gave to deal with the high brow.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in the area. It is perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. I almost always order one of the amazing steaks which is always cooked to perfection on their broiler. My wife sometimes orders seafood, and she is never disappointed. I highly recommend the smoked salmon appetizer special if it is available. do keep in mind that if you are planning to go on a weekend night at peek dinner hours then it is a good idea to make reservations, because the seating is a bit limited.

Our first(ANDLAST) visit on Saturday 11⁄24. The best part of the meal was the salad. My fillet was over cooked, dry and tasteless. My husband said the same for his prime rib. If you are hungry for a steak, I recommend you look elsewhere.

Cozy place with a lot of character. We both had steaks which were great cuts of meat. We thought they could have been seasoned better, but overall we couldn’t complain. I had the french onion crock… excellent. Place was full on Saturday night at 7pm but we had a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. We will be back to try the prime rib. Service was great too.

We went on a Saturday night and had reservations. It’s a small room and we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table which was no big deal. After being seated and given menus, it took a while for the server to come back and take our drink order. Then it took a long time for those drinks to come. From being seated to getting our drinks was about 30 minutes. I didn’t time how long it took the food to come out, but it was pretty slow. We spent two hours and fifteen minutes in total. I didn’t mind waiting as we had no other plans, but at times it was frustrating. I had a steak which was cooked to the temperature I requested. A highlight of the meal was the garlic salad dressing. They were out of stuffed baked potatoes which was disappointing. Other vegetable options are baked potato, fries, salad, and a vegetable of the day. On this day that meant your option was potato, friend potatoes, salad, and baby carrots. I would like to see some more vegetable options. Some dishes come with asparagus, and it would be nice to have that as an option with your steak. I would give these guys 4 stars if we didn’t have to wait so long.

A little bit of a drive, but well worth it. The smoked salmon is prepared locally. This place is a Steak lovers dream. The combo of the wedge, a twice baked potato and a Rib-eye can’t be beat. Great pork chops and roast duck.

Rustic country inn with great steaks and seafood. This isn’t fine dining, it is comfortable dining in an historic setting. Owner grills the steaks behind the bar. Homemade creamy garlic dressing on the salad is yummy. This is the perfect place for dinner when you want great food, but don’t want to get all dressed up on a Saturday night.

Tried this restaurant out for my birthday dinner. The other reviews are pretty much spot on by my estimation. It’s a cozy old country inn with very good food. The prices may seem a bit high at first for the décor — more than a bit rustic looking with a bar right in the main dining area where some nicely dressed as well as some seriously underdressed local color(i.e. just came from work at the local garage) hangs at the bar, but you realize that the pricing is reasonable for the quantity and quality of food you get. The salads were very fresh and the bread they serve tastes homemade. My Delmonico steak and my wife’s sirloin tips meal were huge and cooked perfectly — medium rare. My only food disappointment was with the portion of the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer. The mushrooms were packed well but there were only three of them on the plate and while one was a decent size the other two were very small. If the two small ones had been a bit bigger or there were one or two more mushrooms I think that would have been more appropriate for $ 8.50. Taste wise though the mushrooms where great. Our waitress was excellent. She was attentive and very friendly, especially considering she was the only waitress in the entire dining room and she was covering 5 tables. My only major complaint, and what kept this from being a 5 star review, was the busgirl. She was constantly circling the room clearing plates, refilling water and bread, which is great. Unfortunately she wasn’t all that friendly and seemed very unhappy to be there, which is such a downer when you’re dining out. We’ll definitely go there again some time.
