Superior Towing Service

After having this company referred to us by insurance and two other tow truck companies, we gave them a shot. The dispatcher told us the tow truck would be there in an hour. We waited two and half hours and it never showed up. We constantly called for updates and there was no answer. This place is very unreliable.

If I could give negative stars I would. This company is unreliable and their office staff is extremely rude. Never showed up when they said they would and never called to say they weren’t coming.

Excellent speedy arrival and good service. I was trying to parallel park my car in old town Alexandria and me being the klutz I am, I pulled in too close to a Jeep and got my back wheel well hung up on the Jeep’s front bunker. The two vehicles were stuck together! There was no way I could go forward or reverse to get my car free without causing some serious damage to my wheel well or to the other vehicle. I was embarrassed. I then realized that my towering coverage with my car insurance had expired. I did a google search on my phone for towing and decided to try this place because it was so close to my location. The phone receptionist asked me a few questions and then sent someone out right away. The driver Mike, who was sent to me arrived so quick! I was given a 15 minute time frame but it seemed like only 10 minutes until he arrived. My car was easily lifted up and freed from the mess I created. Thank you Mike! And thank you for then properly parallel parking my car for me. It cost $ 60.00 and was worth it as opposed to the hundreds worth of damage that I could have caused trying to free it myself. This was a much quicker and easier process than waiting around for my insurance covered towing, which would usually take 45+ minutes to arrive. I would gladly do business here again.

I was using this company through Better World Club to take my car to the shop. At 8:30pm I was told it would be at most 60 minutes until the truck could come, and the driver would give me a call when he was 10 minutes away. Ok, that’s fair. I waited an hour and no call, no truck. I called back and was told that the driver’s previous call was taking longer than expected and it would be another 30 – 45 minutes. Fine, I waited 45 minutes, plus another 15 just in case he was nearby. Nothing. So I call again, and they try to contact the driver. The driver doesn’t pickup his phone despite multiple attempts, so they order me another truck which should be there in 15 – 20 minutes. Mind you at this point it’s been over two hours since my original call. Sure enough, 20 minutes later and there’s no truck or call. I call them back and apparently the new driver was stuck doing something at his previous call, too. Too tired to deal with it, I had them cancel the driver and called Better World Club back to get a different company.
Luckily my car was having minor problems and I had managed to make it to a friend’s house that I could stay at. If this had happened on the side of the highway this towing company would have left me sitting there for 2 ½ hours in below freezing temperatures. I will never try to use these guys for anything again, and I recommend you avoid them as well.

This place would get a negative star if that were an option. I was referred to this service via my insurance company. I was told it would take an hour and a half before the tow truck arrived. THE TOW TRUCK NEVER CAME!
The said they couldn’t find my car on 95S after I gave the company specific instructions on where my car was located. They also told me after several attempts to find my car it was probably impounded by the state. It was an unattended tow because of the low temperatures outside.
Once I was able to find a ride to where my car broke down, the car was in fact still in the same location where I left it. I tried calling back several times immediately after I spoke with Samatha but no one would answer.
I was highly upset because my car was stranded for over 3 hours when the ETA was set for 1.5 hours. If someone would have just called me initially all this could have been avoided. Instead of the tow company trying to help me out they just aborted mission.
I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IN THE FUTURE.

I needed to get my 98 Jeep Cherokee towed and AT&T’s roadside assistance had secured Superior Towing to do the job. I’ve only had a few experiences dealing with towing companies prior and they all satisfied the usual grimy stereotypes that everyone knows and I won’t discuss here.
When Josh from Superior Towing showed up he called me and was very friendly. He explained everything he was doing and more importantly (to me) why he was doing it. He rode me over Ourisman (which is funny because it was only 1,500 feet away,) and he chatted with me on the way.
I can’t speak to pricing because AT&T covered the hook-​up fee and since it was such a short distance I didn’t get charged the «per mile» fee.
Over-​all not bad at all. I would recommend Superior Towing.

This towing company was recommeded to me by an auto shop we had previously used. The only good thing I can say about them was that they came within an hour of when I called. After that, things quickly went downhill… the tow truck driver hooked up the car, drove off and dropped it off soo fast that I couldn’t believe it (literally in less than 10 minutes). Yes, the shop was only a mile away but he was in such a hurry that when he dropped it at the shop he didn’t make sure the brake was set (manual transmission) before letting it go and so it rolled back and slammed into a fence damaging the bumper. I didn’t actually see it happen but a man who happened to be in the shop next door heard it hit the fence, came out and saw what had happened, then later asked me if the tow truck driver had told me what had happened (he didn’t, just took off as fast as he could).
The owner promised that they would take care of fixing and painting the bumper and they did. When I have to tow my car because it isn’t running, I don’t expect it to be damaged in the process. This is not an experience that I care to ever repeat so I will be looking for a new towing company next time.

OMG I would give this place ZERO stars if I could! I called at 12:00pm, and got an ETA of 1:34pm. Mind you, my car — which was at home, was 10 minutes away from the place. Unfortunately, my insurance booked them on my behalf. 2:30pm, no tow truck. I called the front office, the receptionist — who was not the warmest and friendliest person, told me they had in their notes to cancel my towing service. But OK — that was from 4 hours ago, and a new appointment for service was made so why was it in their notes to cancel??! She assured me one could be there in 20 minutes.
3:00 pm, no towing service yet. I called AGAIN, very frustrated this time, and then she tells me he is stuck in traffic. OK, the whole purpose of me requesting service at 12:00 pm was to avoid rush hour!!! If that wasn’t bad enough, the driver finally arrives at about 3:20 pm with another SUV on the bed. He then proceeds to tell me he can’t lift my car on there because I’m not backed in, so he would have to drop the first car off first in Tyson’s Corner. By this time I had 30 minutes to make it to my dealership in time. Why in the hell didn’t they tell me that before they came?! Obviously if I need a tow truck I either a) don’t have my car keys or b) the car won’t start! Needless to say, it was a total waste of time and I couldn’t get my car serviced.
This was the WOST customer service I have ever received, and the most incompetent staff. I will never use these people again. I advise you to have several hours of time on your hands if you use this company.

This company had the audacity to keep me waiting for 3 hours, curse me out over the phone, and talk to me as if I was his «buddy». You do not call a client dawg or bro, and you certainly do not tell a client «i do not give a f*ck about your insurance company. f*ck you.» And to the driver, «Johnny», or what ever your real name is. I hope you lose your job over this.
And if you want to know why they act this way, the owner of the company could tell you. he was charged with grand larceny and tried to get it removed, and FAILED. it just goes to show that when you treat people a certain way, you get whats coming to you. this link is public record, and it shows the court documents supporting my statement.
So the next time you want to curse at people, think about why your working that crap job in the first place. Maybe if you were raised a little better, you wouldn’t have such a crap job with that crap attitude of yours.
Worst tow company I have ever dealt with…

My car’s electrical system crapped out, so my warranty company arranged a tow from Superior. First plus is that he (the owner, I think his name is Mike) showed up much quicker than the ETA given. Second, he took the time to ensure that my problem wasn’t simply a dead battery, attempting to jump my car. I liked that. After that failed, he skillfully took my car out of the tricky underground garage and got it to the shop in one piece. Everything super easy, super smooth.
I got to talking to the dude and he sounds like an American success story. Took what was a summer job in the late 90s and built it into a small business with a 6-​truck fleet. I know that tow truck companies are almost universally hated (until you need one, right?), but I will be recommending this business to everyone who needs a tow.

I called my insurance roadside assistence and this was the company they dispatched to me. He got to my car in about 30 mins (and given that it was morning rush hour, that was impressive). He quickly helped me finish changing my tire (only for us to learn that my spare was flat). He was polite, friendly and very courteous. I would definitely call this company again when I need a tow.

Great service. I spoke to Johnny and he was very nice. It was pouring and he still came through in like 15 mins! In comparison to other towing companies I called, they have the best prices! They also take cards, which in these kind of situations is a plus!

I called to get my truck towed and they were super friendly on the phone. After requesting for it to be towed the truck showed up 15 mins. Super fast, and very inexpensive. Mike, the driver and his assistant were hilarious and nice. GREAT COMPANY!

My car would not start. I called Superior who works with my mechanic. They arrived within 15 minutes and Anthony the driver was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Superior to anybody in the Alexandria area. Cost of the tow was very reasonable.

They came and got my car out of my apartments really low-​ceilinged parking garage and got it to the dealership in 10 minutes! Granted I had to wait about an hour for them to arrive but they worked so quickly it was worth the wait! I was thoroughly impressed.

Son of a #%&%$ locked my keys in the car and drove off with my money! If I could I wouldn’t give them a single star! Don’t trust them, very shady! It was snowing and I was alone without a jacket. Either the driver’s a sick cruel person or an complete idiot. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

The driver is a complete maniac behind the wheel. Stop signs and speed limits apparently do not apply to him. It was just amazing to see this guy drive the truck. Since it was the middle of the day, I do not suspect alcohol, but the driving appeared incredibly erratic. There is no way I would use this company unless I had a car I didn’t really care whether it would get damaged.

I used Superior when my car broke down on the side if a busy highway. They arrived quickly, and they were courteous. They towed my car without damaging it.
I only had two complaints. The first was apparently Audi makes am adapter for hooking my car up, and they were a little put off that I didn’t know about it or how it works. It seventeen degrees an these guys were freezing. I get it. The adapter is kept under the trunk mat. The driver tossed my trunk like a cop looking for a drug bust. After he was done he just left my stuff without a word. Then he didn’t use the adapter because he couldn’t figure it out. I was pretty mad, but I didn’t say anything. This was my only bad experience.
I used Superior a second time without incident. Again they were on time, fairly reasonably priced, and basically hassle free. I would use them again if the need arose.

I called every tow company in the area. Let me save you the Hassle of a price check. Standard hook up fee $ 85.00 with $ 3-​$ 4 a mile added to the total.
I spoke with very friendly man named Tony. When Tony told me the fee i had him repeat it, to make sure i was hearing right. It was.
I expected a older man with a greased up shirt to arrive, with a Smoke Hangin out of his mouth, maybe even a regular pickup truck with some chains. I realy didnt care because i was in a tight spot.

My car was parked in a busy Area and he managed to get the car loaded on the truck and out of the parking lot in UNDER 10 MIN… Dropped off the car at the shop, and got my reciept.

Best price in town and I will never use any other company in this area,… however I hope i dont have to use this service very much… no one likes to be broke down… BUT IF YOU ARE THIS WILL BE THE Least hassle, lowest cost Towing in the area!

Where do you go when your car breaks down and are in need of a local towing company — Superior Towing Service. The company is in close proximity to Old Town. The two men came on time, charged a competitive rate, and dropped off my auto to the location of my choice. In the event that I need my car towed, I will call them again.
