I take back my 5 star review. I agree with the comment below about being sketchy. This dealership needs to work on communicating with customers.

i dont know about the service… but do not buy a vehicle from this lot!!! they sell lemons and they cheat people out of their hard earned money! they should be ashamed of themselves… but god dont like ugly so they bettee watch it! dont do it…

I stopped by this place because I saw the nice selection of vehicles they have. They have a wide range of cars and SUVs to choose from. Chevy’s and Ford’s to Audi’s and BMWs. They even have a variety of high-​end sports cars to choose from.
I was in search of a daily driver that will get me to and from work; nothing over the top. Jobb was very helpful, informative, and NOT pushy. He took the time to show me over 10 cars on the lot. Not once did he complain about all the cars I had him unlock and show me. All the cars I looked at were very clean, you could tell they had every one detailed inside and out. After I narrowed it down to one car I took it on a test drive and everything was a good to go after that.
I sat down in the office and started the paperwork. They gave me an excellent interest rate and a super low payment. I was financed through a reputable bank. The bank was local so I could walk into the branch and make the payment if I wanted to. This made me feel better about the whole deal. After about 2 hours I drove off in my new car.
I even took the car to the actual manufacture car dealership to conduct a pre-​purchase inspection. They found nothing wrong with the car.
There was only one slight hiccup.. .. I was issued temporary tags for the car (30 days). I had to call them to get the plates put on the car. They put the VA plates on the car the day after my temp registration expired. I was expecting them to call me when the VA plate were ready for pick up; just as we discussed the day I bought the car.
All-​in-​all I have had an excellent experience buying a car from Action Auto and would recommend them to anyone in the market for a used quality car.

There’s something sketchy about this used car dealer, and I would recommend extreme caution to anyone interested in purchasing from here.
I’m in the market for a used luxury vehicle of a very specific model and trim. I have cash in hand ready to go, and I’m ready to purchase within a day. I contacted Action Automotive through my car buying service, told them I would be in the next day, and mentioned that I’d expect to have the car inspected by an independent dealer before purchasing. Normal stuff — and nothing unusual for any other car dealer in the area. They assured me it’d be ready for my inspection and driving when I got there the next day.
I show up… and the car is missing. At first, they say the car is being driven «by the owner.» Then they let slip that (1) it’s in the shop and (2) it would not — as is — pass Virginia inspection, so they rushed to get it to the shop when they knew I’d have a mechanic inspect it. In other words, they were knowingly marketing a car that could not even be driven legally on the roads of Virginia. That is, to my knowledge, potentially a violation of Va. Code § 46.2−1539.
The car is apparently STILL not ready for me to drive — they’ve obviously lost my business.

I had my battery replaced at this shop. The BMW X5 has a vented inside battery. The battery they installed was an exterior not vented type. The vent hose was left dangling. Battery had leaked acid all over the holder and the brackets were totally corroded. Prior to this I had new brakes installed and they have squealed ever since to the point where I have to close the window. The battery is total negligence and a safety issue. The brakes are just plain stupidity. I would not take a child’s bicycle to this shop for repair. One star is a gift. Consumer beware.

I got a good vibe when I came in here for my last Virginia inspection. I popped in after that to see what they wanted to do spark plugs on a 2007 Civic. Chris Yoo quoted me $ 100 and wrote the invoice beforehand. The work was done in less than 30 minutes and that’s even taking into consideration they had to have my iridium plugs delivered from a local parts store.
I asked Chris to look over the car and see what else I should think about having done. He suggested I flush my tranny fluid the NEXT time I get my oil changed. He quoted me $ 28 for the oil change and $ 80 for the tranny flush. I’ll be back for sure. Since when does a mechanic tell you it’s NOT necessary to do something now? Hendrick Honda told me a few months ago I need to do my tranny fluid immediately. I was skeptical at the time, and I’ll be going back to Chris for sure.

This place has not been the same since Mr. Moon left. I had my car CEL and they fixed my car and it came back on. So the guys resolution was to turn the CEL off despite the car driving poorly and tell me to drive it a couple days and if it messes up again than its probably a certain part i need. I would only bring my car here for simple jobs. I think these guys need to be sent to be ASE certified.

I’ve been coming to these guys for years. My husband and I own three cars and we bring them all here. They’ve done everything from replacing wiper blades to replacing the engine on an old 1994 Chevy, to body work after I was in a car accident. I rave about the quality of the work and awesome customer service to anyone who’d listen! I would not trust my car with any other mechanic.

Be very careful going to this mechanic. I was quoted a price, came to pick up my car and the price was 80% higher. He claims I misunderstood him. He charged a 90% markup on the part because he had to «go and get it.» The worst part is, the car is not repaired completely. He claims it is «good enough.» For that kind of money, it should be like new. When I came to pick the car up, a piece was visibly missing. I had to point it out to him and the piece was placed back on the car. This shows their workmanship. He said he would finish replacing the car for additional money. No way. I don’t trust him and neither should you. At best, get your quote in writing. Classic bait and switch here.
