My daughter and I were excited to visit The Burger Joint today, as we pass by almost every day. Well… the excitement didn’t last very long. I ordered a burger and garlic fries. My daughter ordered a burger and regular fries. The burgers were just ok, but the fries were not good at all. How do you go wrong with fries?! They tasted as if they were previously frozen and with the garlic, they were just plain soggy, with no real flavor(other than the freezer taste). We paid over $ 25 for our order. We will never visit this place again. Should’ve gone to Five Guys in the first place. At least their prices are cheaper and the fries are freshly made.

There are places that say they use fresh ingredients and when you get the food it doesn’t taste fresh. This place place is not one of those places. I got a double burger with just the free basic ingredients in it. Both parties were cooked perfectly the way I ordered then(medium). The flavor was the best part. It was fresh and tasted like I cooked it at home. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because I got the basic double burger and it was $ 11. If I were to get add ons it would of went up to around $ 15 without fries or a drink. I’m sure that’s the price because of the flavor and the area I would just come here a lot more if it was a couple bucks less.

Extremely sub par service for their delivery service. My wife and I ordered two burgers. I specified mine to be medium and added all the fixings with bacon added. I received all the fixings with one patty being partly medium rare and the other patty well done. I also received no bacon on my burger. My wife got a burger with just cheese and MOJO sauce and received a burger that was actually so red it was still mooing when she had specified well done. She also received my bacon on her burger. Someone had one job and failed.

This place has great service and great burgers. When you ask for medium rare you get medium rare. The fries are delicious and they have adult beverages. In the area or close enough give them a try toy will not be disappointed!

Two words: Onion Rings. Seriously, they are so crunchy and greasy. Just perfect. The burgers and shakes are really good too.

Not a bad burger, and I really liked the selection here, but not great either. I get the feeling it doesn’t fully know what it is trying to be. not bad if local and in the mood but wouldn’t week it out.

Short and sweet: Got the regular burger with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. It was cooked well and had a nice char on the outside and was on a substantial/good bun. The fries were decent. Nothing to write home about, but if you want something different than Five Guys when you’re in the area, stop on by.

A little bit gourmet, a little bit rock n’roll. This is the best burger chain in the D.C. area. I’ve tried every single thing on the menu(except the shakes) but nothing can compare to «The Burger» plain and simple. Every time I pass this place by, I am tempted to walk in. Sure the price is a lot more than Five Guys. But they just get it right. And they know how to grill too – not too many places have been able to delivery a medium-well burger time and again. «The greek» which uses lamb meat and the lobstah roll, when in season, are also both quite tasty. Certain locations also have the Coca-Cola«Freestyle» machines. If you like to experiment with ginger ale vanilla cola, like I do, then you’ll be happy. If you don’t know what I mean by this, visit: I’m a bit saddened about them taking away the option of getting rosemary garlic fries, and the fact that the mayo is in packets in some locations. And you’ll need to wait a little for your meal while when it is busy at lunch or early dinner rush. But bonus: they have malt vinegar if you like your fries«fish and chips» style. And you can even eat at a table that have stained glass recreations of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, amongst other rock’n’roll paraphernalia. I used to rank Ray’s Hell Burger as the best one in the area, until I realized that the quality of the bread counts for a lot. Ray’s buns so often just have the juices soak through that I’ve found the whole experience of eating one to be such a mess, so points deducted! BGR’s buns are slightly toasted on the grill(perfection!) although I still flip the burger upside down before eating. For a less-messy eating experience(say on a business lunch where you don’t want ketchup on your tie), you can use the black plasticware knife to cut through the burger perfectly in half. Trust me on this. Eating a burger should be pleasurable experience throughout.

Great burger place right on the Parkway. Finding parking will be the biggest issue, but it will be worth it. Triple D burger very delicious. Beware the jalapeño, cut in half and served with seeds in, packs quick the punch so be ready for the heat. The over easy egg and bacon go well, for a very solid, sizable burger, certainly enough for a meal(with some fries of course). The Roasted Garlic Fries aren’t anything special, they just toss the fries with large pieces of garlic. Yeah fresh garlic, but the taste isn’t evenly distributed nor very strong at all.

Dined on 1÷1÷2016. Better meal at Subway, for less. Not the place it used to be. Will never go back. Pretty bad experience. Below average burger — not worth ten dollars. Horrible, cold, dry bun. Garlic fries were not fries with a little garlic for taste; they were soggy, potato sticks beaten to death with large chunks of chopped garlic. Tables and condiment stand were pretty dirty. Had to wipe surfaces down myself. Only nice thing was the help was very polite.

Good sized burgers, not greasy. Ordered the Greek Burger, lamb was a little over cooked. Overall good burgers.

This place understands the necessity of quality meat and fresh ingredients. My friend Josh and I stopped here for lunch and were surprised how well everything turned out. Try the apple and brie fall special; it’s amazing. It may seem pricey if you’re used to McDonald’s, but you;re getting some quality burger for your buck here. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. Good for kids and a great lunch stop on your tour of Old Town.

This place has excellent burgers, and the décor has been upgraded in the last 2 mos. It’s got a cleaner and brighter look. As for Ms. Giant Bugs down there, she’s full of crap. All(three) of her(three) reviews say that. Giant liar.

GIANTROACHES! I ordered food, sat down and I see a massive roach walking beneath the tables. Then another one on the bench I was sitting. I told them I wouldn’t be eating. They refunded the order.

BGR gets 3.5 stars from me(one full star for the good service). We came here on a Friday night with my parents because we were craving burgers and wanted to walk around Old Town. Considering it was 7, BGR wasn’t overly crowded which was surprising. We’ve been to BGR before so we expected it to be slightly overpriced. The gentlemen behind the counter was actually very nice, unlike the experience I had at the BGR in Clarendon. You come to BGR because you expect to pay«gourmet prices» so I wasn’t surprised our bill for 4 to be $ 60. My mom and I got the Triple D burger to share along with a side salad and a side of sweet sweet potato fries. I would skip the side salad if I could do it all over again, it was not fresh and prepackaged. My dad and husband got the box set which is $ 9.99 for a burger, fries, and a soft drink. Fair warning, the amount of fries given is very small and everything($.99 for cheese, toppings) is extra except for the lettuce and tomato. You can up charge to sweet potato fries for $ 1. Everything was decent, nothing overly impressive but I didn’t expect it to be. It’s pretty much a family friendly place with slightly expensive burgers.

We went for dinner with the family the place was empty so I had my concerns. I ordered the burger that comes with the Fried egg on it so I was hoping they wouldn’t screw it up. They didn’t and it was amazing very delicious with lots of flavor cooked medium just like I asked for. The staff was very friendly and all and all people seem to be enjoying your food as the place filled up before we left. A little on the pricey side for what it is but I think it’s worth at least one dinner or one lunch with some friends if you’re in town.

I gave 4 stars because this is a solid burger. The prices are just a tad high for what I think you get(food, atmosphere, etc… the whole package), but it is good food. If you want a $ 4 burger, this isn’t your place. If you want good flavors in a kitchy atmosphere, maybe somewhere you would take your kids, then this is where you want to go. Please note that delivery is not from BGR. It is a 3rd party. Yes, BGR should be in tune with what happens to their food when it goes to the 3rd party since, as the other reviews are testament, people don’t see the difference in BGR and the delivery service. But BGR does not deliver. They will tell you that. They, at least in my experience, don’t even offer it as an option. Location of BGR is great. It is the center of Old Town and I always am able to find parking pretty much right in front of the store. This is great as parking Old Town is usual killer. If you want a burger delivered then you have already decided how you want your burger to taste. No one wants to eat a burger after it has sat for even 10 mins… not even the best, so why would you order delivery it and expect something that just came off the grill? Go there an eat or pick it up yourself. I usually do take out. My food has always been great.

There is no chance in hell I’m giving this more than 1.5 stars. Nothing about this burger shares appeal to me. If you want to be nickeled and dimed for little extras that should be standard, then this place is perfect for you. Burgers sucked. My friend Nick got the veggie burger which lacked flavor and was EXTREMELY dry. The fries are nothing to talk about, My sliders… well… my picture speaks more words than what I could say about it. Bottom line save your cash and go elsewhere… you know… unless you want to throw away your money and have a bad stomachache a few hours later.

I went here yesterday afternoon. I was visiting from out of town. Can I just say two thumbs up for this food! It was amazing! Omg! The beef was very good quality unlike most places! The service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy. The only reason I didn’t give this a five is Bc of the PRICE! It was 30 for two burgers, fries and a drink. I suggest maybe they have the box special that I saw it say Monday-Friday also on the weekends. Even if it’s only from 12 – 3 on Saturday and Sunday. To me 30 dollars should be spent on a place where they bring me my food ect. Granted to food was amazing but it could be at least maybe 16 – 20 for two ppl I think is fair pricing. I will say I would go again
