I brought a very large and difficult needlepoint piece to be cleaned, blocked and upholstered to an ottoman. Never did I think it would turn out so beautifully! The owner is very passionate about her finishing work.

…and now I am packing up my needlepoint and shipping it somewhere else. The first time I tried to use them they wouldn’t extend some needlepoint… I got it done elsewhere. The second time, they used the wrong color fabric – clearly marked on the order form BTW– and then asked if I would be satisfied with their color, which did not match the chair I had planned it for. When I asked that it be promptly fixed, they told me it would be 2 – 3 months as they were busy with Christmas orders. This time, they refused to make a pillow out of a piece of rug hooking, which they had clearly never seen before, even though it is just needlework, too. Three«no’s» when other people have said«yes» is enough for me. The sewing is adequate, but their customer service and English skills are below average, and their flexibility and ability to think creatively are non-existent. I have used many shops through the years, and I will send my work off to them. I won’t be returning.

I live thousands of miles away from this place, but a local needlecraft store recommended DeVaris to me as the place to go for repairing old needlepoint pillows. So I shipped out three pillows for cleaning and new backings and crossed my fingers. I was so impressed with the quality of the work they did – the pillows look so great now! I’m so pleased.
