It’s a pretty good place for models but it’s a little on the small side, it really doesn’t have much other than models, card games, and a few more modern comic books, I went here looking for some Star Wars merchandise and a place to the play Pokemon trading card game and they didn’t really have either, it really the only hobby shop in the entire area though so it’s what I have

It took three visits for them to get an order placed correctly. Then the order arrived, and the bill was significantly higher than we had agreed upon. If you can’t get all of the details straightened out in three visits, what does it say about your business?

Just stopped by here on a whim after visiting an optometrist’s this morning. I don’t know a bloody thing about models, or Dungeons & Dragons or comic books, at least since I was a young boy, but the front window caught my attention. I guess I impulsively decided to be nosey and get a quick look through a wee window into a bit of my childhood. The place has a few shelves divided up between comic books and graphic novels by the entrance to the right; a till with random bits on the left and wall; and in the back there are a couple of tables that during today’s visit had a bunch of models scattered on top. They looked as if they had recently been painted and detailed, and were drying. These were small models of desert features such as a palm tree and a puddle of water, and some ruined stone walls, or parts of a fort or structure. The area in back seemed to be a place you could hang out and build models, and seemed a friendly place to indulge your bobby. Anyway — an older man greeted me as soon as I set foot inside, and after I advised I was only browsing, he encouraged me to «have fun» while he went about his routine. As I looked around, I noticed a few planes suspended from the ceiling off wires — pretty cool if you have the knack for it. He kindly and quickly pointed out where his models were, and I just browsed the shelves for a couple of minutes and eventually walked outside. I admired the retro-looking model boxes, and seeing them made me realize that when I was a boy I was shite at putting together models, and that I’d probably make a pig’s ear of one now. In recognition of this, I let myself out a few moments later, wishing the old chap a good day. Pay it a visit some time, if this sorta thing interests you. It was a nice wee shop.

This is a great local business, and an actual brick and mortar wargame shop in an era of online sales. Besides having a huge selection of Flames of War and Warhammer miniatures on hand, they will quickly order anything you would like with an amazing turnaround time. I ordered something on a Monday afternoon, and it was in the store two days later! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Besides wargames, they carry comics, models, modeling supplies, and Osprey books. Do yourself a favor and check out this great store.

This shop has something for everyone. It has a fair selection of comics: yes, walking dead fans there is something for you. It is also the mecca for table top war games, and avid fantasy buff or WWII junkie will be happy with this store. Eagle and Empire also runs some table top games in the store, so customers can try out their latest game. With the popularity of video games and the abundance of such stores as Gamestop, this store is refreshing change of pace.
