Mikelia is my hair salvation!
I don’t trust my hair care to just anyone. I had decided to transition out my perm (which I was still on fence about) and not brave the big chop. So finding a hair stylist/​dresser/​miracle worker was a priority. So when my coworker (who usually rocks a more «liberal/​funky» look) recommended Mikelia, I was a little skeptical.
Mikelia has been so very patient and encouraging over the last nine months. She has suggestions, but doesn’t push too far. She answers questions without being annoyed (and I had a lot of questions!). She treats her clients with the most utmost respect and professionalism.
She has her own one-​woman space. It’s cozy, clean, and not subject to your typical salon atmosphere. I’ve never spent more than 2 hours in the chair for a shampoo/​roller set (and/​or blow dry/​curl, trim and deep condition). And her prices are affordable!
Besides her awesome skills as a stylist, Mikelia is just a cool person to know. She’s sweet, caring, ambitious, genuine, and easy to talk to. I look forward to and find comfort in not finding another stylist in the DMV.

Absolutely amazing stylist. I won’t trust anyone else with my hair. You know how you go to a hairdresser and they just do your hair? Well not here. She really pays attention to who you are and can give you exactly what you want. She will eve make recommendations which is what I like. At this point I can sit in her chair and say «I don’t know what I want, but I bet you do.» And after a few clarifying questions she works her magic. She has hit the nail on the head every single time. I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER walked out of there without being completely 100% satisfied.
