Jimmy John’s

Located in a strip mall next to Shawarma Guys, I decided to stop in for a quick lunch. I can’t rave about anything here because it’s just a standard sandwich shop. If you’ve been to one JJ, you’ve been to all.
Not sure if it’s a company thing, but I couldn’t find an available condiment bar where customers can grab a couple napkins to use or some mayo packets without asking the employees for help.
Bottom line: Decent sandwich. Nothing more, nothing less.

Fast service and a good sandwich. Clean dining area.

So, I go in to order, and the guy has a fake accent and I can’t understand a word he’s saying. He has to repeat things multiple times and then looks at me like I’m the idiot because, lo and behold, I can’t understand the tackiest fake Irish/​Scottish accent. Everyone else is nice, but idk what is up with this guy. I don’t know if he thinks it’s funny or what, but it’s mostly just annoying.

I absolutely love Jimmy John’s and I’ve been a satisfied customer for years. Because of that I made the mistake of not checking my order before I left. When I got home about 5 minutes away and I took a bite of my sandwich and the bread was very hard. My bread was was not fresh, it must have been pretty old. If this had been my 1^st experience with Jimmy John’s I would have never gone back. This location was subpar on this day. I won’t be back.

Can’t get items on the side. Can’t have your sub heated. Find somewhere else to eat tonight. They might have fast delivery but with low-​quality sandwiches it doesn’t matter

I love this place.
Great food, fresh, high quality meat.
I work close so I eat there once a week.
I never ordered delivery but I think people expect them to fly to their home with the sandwich…
Nobody understand that it’s not possible to get the order fast every time.
If you like their subs like I do (much better than subway and Quiznos)
Then you will have to live with the fact that you don’t get a sub in 10 minutes.
I don’t mind waiting for great food.

Never had Jiimmy John’s before. I was blind, but now I see.

Always a great sub. I love the beach club with sprouts and hot peppers. The gargantuan is loaded with meat. Good traditional jimmy johns. It took them a while to train their employees to do it right but they’ve made it there now.

The manager demonstrated the worst customer service of any service establishment I have ever seen. He was insulting, argumentative, and confrontational after I made a simple request for a modification to a sandwich. I have never experienced a problem in this store except with this individual, who clearly requires remedial customer service training. It’s a shame when someone decides to reflect such poor judgement and demonstrate such a poor example for the line staff, and simultaneously perpetuate a disagreement with a customer.

Unfortunately the worst JJ experience I have ever had. I’ve never had a JJ’s delivery take more than 15 minutes, let alone poor service. I guess I am definitely spoiled by the franchise by my apartment as opposed to this one.
I ordered delivery on the JJ’s app from my iphone. I got a confirmation that the food would be there 25 minutes later… which sounded like a lot, but I didn’t mind.
About 30 minutes later I get a call from the driver that the store didn’t pack the bag correctly and there was a sandwich missing from the order. He said I needed to call the store to tell them to make the sandwich so it was ready by the time he got back. When I asked for the store telephone number, he said «I dunno, just google it» and hung up.
I called the store and got another bad attitude on the other line. When I told her what had happened, she responded with «Yeah, I told him not to forget the sandwich but he just left it here.» I asked for a refund and she begrudgingly offered it to me (which I never got, I had to call my credit card company to follow through.) 25 minutes later the driver called me to let me know he had the missing sandwich (the store is no more than 6 minutes away?) The sandwiches were fine, but next time I’ll go to Firehouse subs instead. Rudeness gets you nowhere.

Wow! This location has more 1 star reviews than any other rating. Why?
I either hit the jackpot the one time I went last week or everyone else is expecting caviar and wine with their sub. The place is clean and has plenty of seating. In this shopping center, the buildings go deep if that makes sense.
Anyways, ordering was fast. The cashier was friendly. They didn’t try to upsell you anything which I really like. If I say I want a sub, that means I want a sub. Some places like to assume you forgot to order fries, chips, soda, and whatever else is on the menu despite you not mentioning any of those items.
The sub itself was just what I expect from Jimmy John’s. Again, not sure why some reviews are angry with their orders. This isn’t rocket science.
I’d go here again because it is fast, cheap, and relatively healthy.

With great relief, the issues seem to be a thing of the past. Being a JJ fanatic, it is hard to stay away. The last three visits were spot on — perfect sandwich, friendly employees and an overall happy experience. Phew! Thank heavens!

This is the worst and slowest Jimmy’s in the VA Metro area. It’s about time they open more stores. I’m tired of having to go out of my way for a great sub.

Currently have been waiting over an hour for a delivery of 1 sandwich. When I called to ask what the hold up was, I was told «We are under staffed and your sandwich will be there shortly», but the employee did not ask my name or what I ordered. How do I know they even made it?
I would have appreciated a warning of them being under staffed when I placed my order. I would have gladly picked it up rather than waiting around hungry.
Also using the app I left a tip when I placed the order. I will never make that mistake again. Freaky slow and freaking hungry.

I love Jimmy Johns and this place lives up to the standard of the brand. Great fast sandwiches! I love their bread and the fact that you can buy some for like 40 cents :)

Love having a sub place that is not subway! Went in late one night and there was no line. Samiches came out fast but not super fast. By no means slow. Looked like some folks where being trained.
Store looked new (it is) and clean. For sandwiches which don’t list cheese on menu there is an upcharge if you opt for adding.

Unfortunately, this location does NOT live up to Jimmy John’s «freaky fast delivery» mantra.
Short on time before a conference call, decided to give Jimmy John’s a try. Because this particular franchise is located in the strip mall directly across the street from our office building it seemed like the perfect solution.
1155am: placed order delivery: Pepe sub and a drink
1230pm: follow up call to ask about estimated delivery time. Staff was unhelpful
1:00pm: delivery — including soda with NO ice. or maybe it had all melted?
Bottom line? Average food, bad service, rude staff.
After reading other Unilocal reviews of this location, we regret deviating from our normal favorites in the area –Manchester Bagel or Sophia’s Deli. Highly recommend those places!

Fresh subs with a good selection of meats, quality bread. The deli pickles make a great side in place of a bag of chips (also not bad). Can’t speak to the delivery option, but the dine-​in service is fast, and they’ve got a good amount of seating.
