I have regularly ordered cold subs from Firehouse. Today, I learned that Firehouse has discontinued their cold subs. The store was very kind to offer to make my usual Hook & Ladder, but using the hot sub rolls. Must say that the hot subs rolls are tasteless and dry compared to the old cold sub rolls. Maybe, made to stand up to toasting, but they pale in flavor. The old rolls were sweet and moist, like Hawaiian bread. May have to reconsider my choice of sub shops. Wish Jimmy John’s delivered to my location.

Clean store, friendly staff. Always walk in and get greeted. #10 smokehouse cheddar brisket is where it’s at!

I placed an order online on 5÷12− from Grubhub, quickly, as I have a baby and needed something quick since I’m unable to eat much. The driver claims she came to my home and rang the doorbell and called. Yes I admit my phone was accidentally left on vibrate but instead the doorbell never rang. I swear and I even checked and it was working! Why didn’t she leave a voicemail? I didn’t know what was going on. I called specifically at that time so I can eat while my baby napped. Rather than offer a solution right away when I called about an hour later than it was supposed to arrive, she was defensive and made me feel like crap, and I was starving even more! They came out again and didn’t apologize and driver arrived 30 minutes later. I feel unappreciated as a new customer, and disrespected as I did not intend to leave my phone on vibrate(I have a 6 month old and it escaped my mind taking care of him) this restaurant does not offer quality service — I want my money back.

My girlfriends & I like eating here. Subs are always fast & delicious. Kids love mixing & experimenting with the sodas. The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t have French fries in their menu.

Subway eat your heart out!!! Firehouse subs is one of the best sandwich joints I have ever been too in my life. I tried them years ago after hearing about them on the Food Network and was super elated to find out they were close in proximity. I’ve tried just about every sub on the menu and this time in particular I had the club on a sub sandwich. Per usual my sandwich was epically delicious. They steam the meat making it juicy and like no other! I’ve visited several locations and I can say that service is consistently top notch as is the quality of their subs. The story behind the restaurant is really dope too being founded by firemen. If that’s how they eat at the firehouse I may have to consider a career change lol Locations are scarce so if you’re ever near firehouse subs make sure you give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

OK I normally don’t review chains as much as I should, but sometimes, your experience is so great that you need to give a little shout out! It is no secret that Firehouse Subs is delicious. Plenty of options and I particularly like that they have a lighter menu with sandwiches under 500 cals(I have had the sriracha beef and the capt sorensens datil pepper grilled chicken and both are amazing). I have eaten many o subs here and enjoyed them all. I think the selection of hot sauce is one of my favorite things about Firehouse! So cool! Also, love a place with the high tech coke machines. Anywhere that I can get cherry fanta is A-OK with me! Mainly writing this review because this location gets BUSY! I mean like… line out the door busy. As I was sitting at my table(lucky to have gotten one!) I could hear the manager(I am assuming he was the manager) telling his team what a good job they were doing. It kept the staff so upbeat and happy. I had to have heard him tell them«great job» in one way or another like 15 times while I was in there, it made me want to get behind there and join there team too LOL. They greeted everyone that came in while they were SLAMMED and working really hard to churn out these delicious subs. I always get so happy when I see someone leading a team with such a positive attitude. So, rock on, Firehouse Subs in Springfield, VA!

Ordered sandwich and brownie online. It was everything I wanted. I was pretty hungry but, I ordered the brisket sub and it was tasty. I probably would not order from firehouse all the time but it’s a nice option right to the front door. Delivery took longer than I expected which was around 2pm on a Thursday

Ordered quickly online, fast delivery, and great subs! The Italian and the turkey bacon ranch. Medium size but very filling. I would order from them again.

For hot sandwiches, this is my go-to place. It can be very busy at this location, especially on the weekends but the staff is great an efficient getting the food out quickly. The bathrooms and tables are always clean and that’s a big plus. My favorite is The New York Steamer. Try it!

Firehouse subs. Excellent lunch spot. Ordered a large meatball sub with jalapenos. The wait is a little longer than other sandwich places but completely worth it. The soft drink sizes are awesomely huge, and to top it off they have two Coke Freestyle machines. Wheat bread is fluffy and tastes great. Meatballs are huge and they stuff them in the sub cakes with cheese and seasoning and the large is a hefty meal size. They have a plethora of hot sauces(30+) which you can purchase at the counter if you really like it. I got a meager pickle slice this time with my sub but usually they are much more substantial in size. All in all it’s a great filling lunch at a reasonable price.

I’m going to try this again, since my last review was taken down by Unilocal for reasons they haven’t explained. Firehouse subs are terrible. The meat is generally drys and tasteless the bread is usually hard, and they skimp on the fixins like they’re on war rations restrictions. Though I was only one of two people in the place, it took nearly 35 minutes to get my takeout order. Not good

I am a Hoagie Master. I certified Sub-murai. I can tell you how a hoagie, a submarine, a zep, a grinder and a hero sandwich differ. Even if you are a huge Harry Potter fan and you call it a baguette, I can tell you why. Now more importantly, I can tell you where to go to get a really good Cheesesteak. Do not call it a steak and cheese near me or I’ll probably throw you on the grill and smother you with fried onions… with. *sigh* Now with that being said, Firehouse Subs in Kingstowne makes a decent sub. «Decent, well why the 4 stars Mr. Aaron?», you say. Well, I am comparing them to the rest of the Firehouse Subs on Planet Earth. They are also being compared to Jimmy Johns and Jerry’s Subs and Pizza. If you have Sub or sandwich in your name, you are being held to my standards and will go head to head with Firehouse Subs. «What are your standards Mr. Aaron?» Glad you asked. I go by three criteria. Taste, Texture, Time. I call it the Three T’s. Or TT’s for short. Now I want you to grasp the TT’s concept. Grasp them firmly. If the sandwich has great taste, and texture… but it took to much time… it’s not a good sandwich. If I get it quick, and it tastes good, yet falls apart… then it’s not a good sandwich. If it holds its structural integrity, didn’t take long to get and tastes bad… then it’s not a good sandwich and you probably got it from a vending machine. Sandwich is from the latin words Sandus, which means I am in a hurry, and Vicimus meaning throw it between some bread. Firehouse knew this. I was greeted with«Salve mi amici, est tu esurio?» I knew then that we were on the same page. I was hungry and they were my friends now. The sandwich was dine in, and it arrived promptly. It held together… and it tasted great. The TT’s were being devoured and I wanted a nap. «Wow Aaron. That is very informative and entertaining. You are quite good looking too» Thank you and yes… I am. Thanks Firehouse subs. You are Pompei to other sub places who are sub par. *pun intended* or as we say in the hood«intentionale iocus»

My first time at this location. First, I wanted to create my own sub. Ordered a turkey sandwich. They messed it up. I asked for Provolone cheese. No cheese. Asked for Oregano, S&P; none of that. I asked for mustard, nope. The meat was warm, I thought it was a cold sandwich. I decided to visit the l’eau. OMG! A bloody disaster. Urine all over the toilet seat and floor. The entire floor was wet! Oh God please let that be water! I had to clean the toilet seat myself in order to use the toilet. Just nasty! I hope today was just a one off.

Firehouse is our new Go To Sub place. They do not assemble as fast as other sub joints, however they are hot and fresh. The Steak and Cheese, Spicy Meatball, Italian and the Beef Biscuit are all great. Combos run around $ 10 and include drink and chips.

I always am pleased with this place. High quality fresh sandwiches, low wait time, friendly staff, and a cool soda machine are all components of this rating. Oh! And by coming here you are contributing to the fire departments. Thumbs up!

I came here one day after a doctors appointment with my bestie and immediately fell in love. My girl got the turkey bacon ranch on wheat and I got the light Italian on wheat. We sat inside and ate. They give you a number and call your name when your food is ready. What can I say about my sandwich? The bread was fresh and soft. The meat was perfectly sliced and proportioned. Even though the sandwich was under 500 calories, it was full of flavor and left me wanting more. My friends’ sandwich looked delicious and she said it was. I will definitely come back here again!

The subs here are really good, but a little on the pricey side. The Italian is very flavorful and I highly recommend it. My wife got the the club on the sub. Though it wasn’t as good as mine, it was pretty darn good… Those just might have be her exact words. It was a welcome difference from your Subway experience.

Great place with a nice laid back environment. They have a good assortment of subs and low calorie sandwiches to choose from. I went for the first time the other day and I ordered the steak and cheese. It was okay I just felt like it needed lettuce or tomato or something to give it more girth. It also seemed smaller than other subs I saw so next time I go back I will try a different one. I did like the assortment of hot sauces because I love some spice in my life!

Their subs are huge and the ingredients look fresh. The steak sandwich is pretty bland, as is the brisket. I ordered a steak sandwich takeout and asked if they had any sauce for it like bbq sauce, steak sauce, etc. They said they didn’t but when I went to pick it up, I saw several bottles of A1 sauce. Beats subway but their food is just too bland.

One of the best food options in the Kongstowne Mall area has to be the Fire House Subs, this place puts Subway to shame. Everything from ingredients and service is top notch. I love the fact that they use real ingredients but the price is still affordable. Also, I am a big fan of the hot sauce bar, a feature that allows you to try all different hot sauces and then purchase the one you want afterwards.. Bring on the fire, boys And finally, they support firemen and you just can’t go wrong there
