Very pleased… Cree cut my hair exactly how I asked her. I even told her that my husband likes my hair long. She made sure not to cut off the amount I told her, but a length that was well balanced. So, when I got home, my husband wasn’t shocked, he actually liked the cut. I said all of that to say, Cree is not scissor happy. I can remember as a child getting my hair trimmed(my hair was 2 my waist) and the stylist gave me a bob!!! I still have nightmares about that:-/

Guys, DON’T GO! My cut was so much less than thorough. My hair was uneven in so many places I need to go somewhere else to fix it! The stylist was polite and professional but maybe not that good at cutting my type of hair. He turned me away from the mirror so I couldn’t see what he was doing and didn’t take the time to make sure the cut was to my liking when he was done. Nice guy, but he left me with a bad haircut. I hope to help others with short hair like mine avoid the same experience.

I can’t even remember how I stumbled on to this place — oh yeah — my former hairdresser started seeing my hair just as an «additional head in the chair» instead of actually taking care of my hair. In other words, I felt like my hair wasn’t getting TLC and she was trying to get me out of the chair as soon as possible(since she double-tripled booked clients), instead of taking her time. So the search begain, and I ended up here. I picked a hairstylist out of the blue(because the one I intended on seeing was«off» that day), and it was the BESTCHOICEEVER. I now see Deborah and she is just excellent. Never rushes. Takes her time to explain things. Doesn’t talk your ear off. Uses good products. Does a mean trim. Doesn’t blowdry your hair to shreds. Uses TLC the entire time. What else can you ask for? I’ll tell you — ONTIME. Everyone’s time is precious, and this place reminds you of that — at least she does. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get started. I’m in and out at predictable times: I used to NEVER be able to plan ANYTHING on my «hair days». Deborah has changed all this — no nonsense. I love it. I have been going there for about 6 months and very happy. Every tip is well-deserved. One more thing — you MUST get Gloria to shampoo your hair. I don’t care which stylist you end up picking despite my review, but Gloria must wash your hair. She is incredible(and methodical!). You will have never tipped the«shampoo girl» so well as you will here because she is awesome.

My wife went and had to get her money back the next day due to her terrible cut and color job. Luckily, she was able to see someone at another salon asap. That said, like the other hair reviews, buyer beware!

In a fabulous location in North Old Town. Ogii is a wonderful nail technician. The staff is friendly and professional. Maria’s massages are the best I’ve ever experienced! A definite must for treating yourself!

Well… I’d like to start with the«good» of my experience: 1. Booking: I was very impressed with the professionalism of the booking staff here. The website was up to date, they returned emails promptly, and when I called to make the initial appointment I was treated as if my patronage was needed. Those are things that make or break a salon. Kudos. 2. Location Location Location: I could literally walk to this salon from where I live and it’d take me less that 5 minutes to do it. The location is great and the salon LOOKS very chic. 3. My pedicure: was great and it still looks great. Now… why 2 stars? My HAIR was an absolute nightmare. I made sure to tell the booking agent that I am natural and that I would need a stylist who was familiar with natural hair, etc. All I needed was a blow out and flat iron and somehow my stylist, Lucretia, managed to mess that up. Now, don’t get me wrong… I’m sure she’s a great stylist but this procedure wasn’t something she was skilled at. I would have respected her a bit more if she said, «this is something that I can’t/don’t/won’t do… let me reschedule you.» The first red flag was the, «how heavy do you want your grease» question. *pause* Grease? Seriously? People still do that? In 2010? Ok moving along… I chuckled and said«oh no, I don’t ‘do’ grease… some oil sheen or mist will do fine.» The second red flag was during the discussion of how she would«style» my hair. She made the comment, «we’ll get it straight like you like it next time…» *pause again* Next time? I’m excited that you believe that I’ll be back a next time but I really wanted to reply, «Ok, I’ll just pay you… next time.“Moving right along… At this point I knew I wouldn’t be pleased with my hair so I just sucked it up and shut up until she was finished. Fast forward to check out… I get to the counter and they tell me that my total is $ 150.00. I nearly flat line right then and there. Never mind the pricing they sent me via email said something totally different. Never mind I’m clearly dissatisfied with my services. Never mind my hair looked better when I walked IN than it did when I walked OUT! All in all I wont visit this salon again… but that reason has nothing to do with the stylist. I’m 110% sure that one stylist doesn’t speak to the abilities of every stylist in the salon. I’m more irritated at the amount of money I spent IN this place. No salon is worth that for the services I received.

Tried a new service this weekend and wanted to share. I had a massage with Maria and it was fabulous. The past couple of weeks have been so stressful and my neck was in knots. Maria fixed all of that in 50 mins. Maria was personable and thorough. I left there feeling brand new. The inclusion of the hot cloth and holding the hot stones during the treatment were a welcome bonus. You should definitely check out the massage therapy services in addition to to hair and nail services I mentioned before.

**5 stars is SOLEY based on the nail tech and her work**…salon is not all that cute. went here after i saw all of the awesome reviews. got a buff and polish from the tech oji… or something like that. she was terrific. super fast, knowledgeable and detail oriented. i was blown away it was only $ 8!!! a total steal. and they were open till 8 so i culd go after the kids went down. cute little plaza too btw. **UPDATE**i have been getting my nails done forever and i have NEVER had a mani hold up this well. to SPA is a verb in my vernacular and i’m a freaking expert…5 star places all over the country but i swear, i have never had a mani hold like this. keep in mind i have a 1.5 yr old, a 3 mo old, 2 dogs, i work out and i cook a lot. incredible. this pushed this place from a 4 to a 5 star.

Ogi is a wonderful nail technician! I had a manicure and a pedicure. I love the salon atmosphere, it was serene. They don’t do artificial nails at this salon so it was a nice dust free environment. Ogi did a great job, didn’t talk my ear off and it was just an enjoyable experience! I would highly recommend. Pricing is affordable as well :)

Too bad there aren’t more than 5 stars, automatic 10* from me! Jon’Ric International Salon & Spa is not only in an ideal location, offers great customer service, friendly staff, the work speaks for itself. My hair stylist Ky Walker has brought my hair back to a healthy state, it’s bouncy, shiny and for that I don’t mind driving an hour to get hair care treatments from Ky. I value Ky’s work ethic and work product so much that I’ve recommended several new clients to her including co-workers. I’m extremely satisfied with Ky and look forward to my appointments. Most of us know how hard it is to find a great stylist whom makes your hair healthy, teaches their clients how to keep their hair healthy, be professional and NOT overbook clients. I appreciate Jon’Ric and Ky– A+++ In addition to hair care services, I thoroughly enjoy the spa services specifically the massages. All I can say is OMG! Just AWESOME. I come into Jon’ Ric stressed from work, neck and back tensed up and Jon’Ric’s massage specialist takes it all away like«Calgon take me away” — LOL. I make it my business to book a spa treatment once a month and I’m about to change it to twice a month. Again, I’ve recommend clients to Jon’ Ric for their wonderful spa services. Talk about identifying the tension area and working it out majorilly! Simply put, Jon’Ric is a full service establishment and I love it. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been going to this spa/salon for a few months now. Ky my stylist is wonderful. My relaxer has never lasted so long and my hair look so healthy. Ogi the nail technician is wonderful. I got a wonderful hot stone pedicure from her that had me floating on cloud nine. The customer service here is great and they always have monthly specials. I encourage anyone in the area to have Ky hook up your hair and Ogi your hands and feet. You won’t be disappointed.

Have visited the salon a couple of times of the past 6 months and love my stylist, Kyisha. The atmosphere is welcoming, pretty quiet, and I am all the stylists seem to be on time. The only complaint I have, like with any other place with good service, is that the stylists can get booked fairly quickly. Be sure to call about a week in advance to get the time and stylist you want.
