Very cute place. I recommend getting gifts for all of your girlfriends here. The only complaint that I have about the place is that they were low in stock on a few things when I was shopping there. But going there is definitely a treat!

Super cute little shop just off King Street in Old Town.
They carry gift items from various American artists, including:
Metal water bottles with cute sayings/​cartoons
Jewelry
Greeting cards
Journals
Magnets
Lots of wood/​ceramic wall plaques with cute sayings/​quotes
Matted photos of local DC attractions
Glass art/​coasters/​platters
This is a great place to find a unique gift for a special woman– or maybe a wedding/​shower gift. There didn’t seem to be a lot there that would be suited for gift giving to men, though.
The guy at the counter when I was there was very friendly, and not at all pushy or attempting to make a sale. I Iiked that.
I will definitely be back when I need to make a gift purchase.

I treat myself to a trip to «La Muse» Gift shop whenever I have business in Old-​Town Alexandria. The vast assortment of kitschy, unique, inspired, artistic and elegant gifts always surprise and delight me. I find the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful… in fact just recently I explained to the store owner (she was managing the shop) That I’d seen a photo recently at a fair in Washington DC. I had neglected to buy it but thought it looked like the artist she carried, I explained the photo to her she helped me look in the shop. unfortunately I’d been mistaken and it wasn’t her artist, I finished shopping and upon check out was greeted with a screen full of images as I’d described, She asked if any of the images looked familiar the third image was the photo I’d wanted, to help me she jotted down the artists web site she profited nothing from the find but in doing so made my day. In addition to a helpful staff two adorable pups wandered the premises and greeted new customers with a wag hello adding a general feeling of ease. I can always find a treasure to claim as mine in this one of a kind gift shop. I recommend this as a treat on your day out girls additionally it’s a great place for guys to shop for the ladies. Bravo!

Super fun and cute shop. They’re mostly a gift shop, and carry jewelry, cards, matted photos, inspirational messages carved in stone plaques you can hang, funny sayings on thin wooden boards that are whimsically decorated. For those who are dog and/​or cat people, they carry food/​water bowls as well as signs, mugs, etc. you can buy to proclaim your love for your 4-​legged friend. They also have a nice selection of cards.
I felt bad for the girl working the day I was there. I could hear her getting more and more frustrated as I shopped – computer problems… uh-oh…After browsing for 20 minutes, I went to the front with my selections only to be told she couldn’t conduct any business because of the computer being down. Not sure when I can get down there again, but I had a couple hundred bucks worth of stuff!
All in all a nice store certainly worth visiting.
