Learning Tree International

I chose Learning Tree International for a PM course in Reston, Virginia. I registered, waited, was assured by the account manager that the course «looked good» and should be a go.. .after quite a number of up-​sale emails and assurances I received approval for my time and travel, everything was booked for the week in Reston.. .
The next day they called me to say they had «Postponed» the course. To Postpone is to delay or defer. What they mean is cancel because they don’t offer the course again in that location this year. They immediately began to sell me on a New York based course later in the month.
I chose them based on positive reviews of the instruction and content. I’ve since learned anecdotally from friends at one of their primary customers, they cancel a class unless every seat is sold, which is frequent. OK, fill a class, make a revenue number, I understand that. I did not expect the amount of subterfuge each time I asked about the headcount sold and viability of the particular course.
Their primary, in this case nearly sole customer is the Federal Government. Really? A disclaimer stating that, and their process for class «postponement» would be a bonus for those of us in the private sector, who expect a vendor to deliver as agree upon.
I have since booked the same PM course through a different provider and have found them to be upfront about any details. I will not recommend Learning Tree whatsoever.

I had to burn some of the Man’s money, so I decided to take a course here. Almost $ 3000 for a 4 day class. Well, it’s not my money so what the hell?
Classes start at 9am. You can come in and partake in a continental breakfast that includes, waffles, donuts, bagels, and other pastries and coffee. Free.
You get 2 15 minute breaks and a one hour lunch during the day. And you can always head to the break area for cookies and other snacks.
There’s a lot of information put out during the short amount of time. So take advantage of the free coffee.
