Starbucks

Might be my last time visiting this location. Earlier today I ordered a vanilla sweet cream cold brew and got back to my office to find out that there was no vanilla in my cold brew. It literally tasted like coffee and cream with not a single hint of vanilla. I had to walk back and told the barista that there was no vanilla in my cold brew. I’ve had this same drink from this place twice before and from two other locations so I would like to think that I know what it should taste like. The barista however disappointed me by saying that there was already vanilla in the sweet cream, basically implying that I did not know what I was talking about. I even showed him the mobile app indicating that there should have been 6 pumps of vanilla in my drink. The barista insisted on saying that the vanilla was already in the cream, which started to annoy me because i drank it and I tasted no vanilla in it. If I were mistaken and this is how vanilla sweet cream cold brew tasted like, let me save you time and money because it tastes just like cold brew with cream. Oh the barista then offered «I can give you MORE vanilla if you’d like,» which sounded like he’s doing me a favor. Guess what, if you would have listened to the customer and tasted the cream, you would have soon realized that you or your colleague messed up. This whole brief moment, I was offered no apologies for the inconvenience and the barista acknowledged no mistake, which was disappointing since I go here quite often but probably not anymore.

I have been going to Starbucks for years, but have never received such terrible service as I received today. I order a hot drink that is custom to what I like, but this particular Starbucks has made it for me many times before. It is steamed apple juice with a passion fruit tea bag. the cashier told me that they wouldn’t do it. she was very impolite and condescending. she came to the register with a bad attitude. Needless to say, I will not be going back to that Starbucks ever again. No consumer should be treated in this manner.

I ordered the Frappula… promoted as layered drink consisting of a layer of mocha sauce on the bottom, white chocolate frappuccino, drizzle of raspberry syrup and topped with whipped cream. That was not what I got! I got a drink made with all of the ingredients blended together. There was no layering. There was no white chocolate frappuccino. It was a disgustingly sweet mess. I tried to explain how to make the drink and even used their own picture as a diagram. They totally failed! Nice promotion Starbucks.

If you’re in a hurry, this is not the Starbucks for you. In the mornings there are 4 – 5 employees in this Starbucks, and except for the cashier and the barista, I have no idea what they do. Coffee orders take longer here than at other Starbucks and the store lacks any sense of urgency in filling customer orders. Fine for a Sunday afternoon; not ok for a busy morning.

why its a hit and miss staff you get. sometimes it’s good and others it just terrible! but when you get a good start they do it very quick and amazing

Whenever I ask for less ice they put even more in. I just walked away with a cup full of ice. It’s not just one barista, it’s all of them. So it must be a store wide policy to spite its customers. F*** Starbucks why do we even go there anymore.

I’ve been to this Starbucks a few times when I’ve been at work related trainings nearby. While it is small and crowded in the morning, the staff is friendly and for me has always done a good job making my drinks. However, while I do effectively tour numerous Starbucks when I am writing on my days off from work, this would not be one I go to. Parking in the area is pretty limited (or expensive) and it does not have the relaxed feel that a ‘stay there’ coffee shop should. It’s good for it’s purpose, a walk up place to get your coffee fix and leave.

They fixed their problems with ordering. Orders are accurate and the baristas are friendly.

Not to happy with the manager at this store. I ordered a shaken Ice tea, (half black & green) I asked for no water, no ice in it. She only filled ²⁄₃ of the cup with tea and stated, «I’m actually suppose to double charge you, if I filled it all the way.» Really… I’m a gold Starbucks customer and have ordered that drink 100’s of times and NEVER herd that before!!! — I will never go there again!

I really want to give this S*bux more than three stars. It’s clean, the staff are friendly (they remember my name!), and it’s convenient to my office. But. They’re slow. Really, phenomenally, slow. Whether they’re line-​out-​the-​door busy or virtually empty, it takes a long time to get a drink order. This problem often extends to pre-​made drinks like iced tea or iced coffee. I’m not sure why, they don’t seem to be less staffed than any other sbux or small local coffee shop, but there it is.
So go if you’re into Starbucks and in need of a fix, but not if you’re in a hurry.

Clean and organized.
This is one of few stores, that you may wanna take a long line to get your coffee. It’s simply because they’re fast and know how to handle the morning rush.
The parking can be an issue sometimes, other than that one of my favorite stbcks.!!

Usually the beverages are good but lately the ones I’ve had have been mediocre at best. Early January I had a Peppermint coffee that was previously excellent when I previously ordered them in December, but now it was just bitter. My usual favorite caramel macchiato was also not up to par. I’m not sure what happened but definitely not enjoying the coffee beverages now. I haven’t been to any other Starbucks recently to compare so this may be the chain switching to different coffee.

This place earned a one-​star because they committed one of my most despised acts — they did not open at their posted time in the morning. I only go to this Starbucks location on weekends so I can’t say if their late-​opening habit is exclusive to weekends, but, I simply have zero tolerance for business that do not open at their posted time (except for emergency situations).
Here’s a recent example: on March 10, 2013 I arrived five minutes past their posted opening time of 6:30 AM (Sunday hours), virtually all lights were off inside. One worker was inside stocking the bakery case. I paced back and forth outside (not in a creepy way), and people in two nearby cars were also apparently waiting for them to open. The worker looked up and saw me but she exhibited no reaction. I waited almost ten minutes but there was no apparent indication they were opening any time soon. I left, so I have no idea when they eventually opened.

This is the Starbucks near my office I frequent at work. I walk here but there is street parking and it’s usually not too difficult to find.
I’ve always have a good experience here. The lines can get a little long during peak hours but people need their coffee! My drinks are always made well. I’ve never had a ‘bad’ drink.
The inside is about small to medium sized. You should be able to get a small table if you feel like sitting. It’s nice if you want to come here to do work.

The flavor of the coffee is really the best I’ve tasted! I’ve gone to many, many Starbucks in the area, and outside of the state, and this one, by far, makes the best tasting coffee! The employees are friendly and service is fast! Also, they brew decaf coffee all day… unlike other locations that do a pour-​over after about 12 noon. I highly recommend going here for your coffee… it’s worth the extra mile to bypass other Starbucks and try this one. They really are the best!

Pretty efficient Bucky location next to the USPTO. Parking is street, only. There are a number of tables for working. And although the baristas are often overmatched by ridiculous lines (they really should have more staff), the lines do move well.

Coconut Chocolate Coffee is outstanding!

As my local Starbucks, I’ve found this one to be more busy from the PTO crowd than the locals. So expect the drifts in and out from the professional set if you are in a hurry. The upside is that if you want a seat it usually is not hard to come by as they are in and out the door back to work. If I have the time though, I’d walk to Misha’s or Grape/​Bean instead down off King Street.

This is my favorite Starbucks. It helps that it’s the closest to work, but it has grown on me to the point where I will go out of my way to get to this one, even though there are three locations much closer to home. This one just feels right.
They’re not perfect. They sometimes do, as another reviewer noted, get carried away with conversations with customers or amongst themselves and forget to make your drink. They will not always apologize about this. Sometimes the person distracting them from other customers is me, and much less frequently, I’m the forgotten one. In general though, they are on point. All of the partners at this location seem very friendly (some more than others), so when it is slow, they tend to get a conversation going, if you are responsive.
Avoid the M-​F 2−5pm rush. They close at 7:30 pm, which is annoying, but at the same time, I really shouldn’t be drinking coffee after 7:30. I like that they have a few comfy chairs and a decent amount of seating space. They also tend to be fairly busy on the weekend, but never as busy as the Starbucks locations in Old Town.
