I could not have been more pleased with the work Omar and Edwin from All Renovations did on our house. We had started out trying to remodel our house (built in 1978) ourselves, but quickly found ourselves in over our heads, with several half finish projects and no interest in finishing anything we started. I was initially very concerned with how much it would cost to have someone come in and fix everything we had done. All Renovation’s pricing was very reasonable, and Omar was very professional and easy to work with.
All Renovations re-​drywalled and tiled an upstairs bath/​shower; installed a light fixture; drywalled the family room; removed wallpaper, finished and trimmed the kitchen walls; hung a door frame and door; carpeted all bedrooms and basement room; and painted all rooms and ceilings on the main and upper level.
I was worried because I live out of town and was not sure how the communication would be. Omar and Edwin communicated every step of the way, from the moment we requested an estimate, until the time the job was done, through phone calls, emails, and text messages. They even sent me pictures of areas they had questions with as well as the finished product. I really appreciated this, as it made the whole process much easier for me.
Although we had a sizable amount of work that needed to get done, everything was done on schedule and stayed within budget. Omar gave me several options and suggestions when discussing the best way to finish the bathroom we had initially tried to retile. I was truly impressed with their knowledge and workmanship, and I felt like they had the best interest of my home (and my budget) in mind at all times. At no point did I feel like Omar tried to «upsell» any services.
I was extremely pleased with All Renovations and would use them again for future renovations and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

On July 30^th, 2012, my wife and I entered into a contract with All Renovations Inc. to remodel a single bathroom at our condo in Arlington, VA. The project was estimated to be a project that would take between 7 – 10 days. After 6 months and two BBB complaints, the job still is not complete.
The workers would arrive late to the job site, often an hour or more later than they were expected. We began to notice problems, such as damage to the common areas of our condo building from the demolition and mortar splattered on our walls from when they were mixing in the living room. We spent hours wiping the mortar and grout dust and cleaning all surfaces of our home.
The medicine cabinet was installed with the top below a normal man’s height of six feet and didn’t fix the wall below the installation when they raised it. The light fixture was installed about 6″ off center. The toilet was installed askew and then we came to find it was not correctly bolted to the floor, although the cover was placed on the bolt to hide the fact that it hadn’t been correctly fastened. The toilet began leaking within 6 months of installation. The floor was raised with the new tile installation and the bottom of the door was then cut with a circular saw with no measurements so it would close. The cut was jagged and had to be cut two more times before it was acceptably straight. They did not remove the towel rack from the wall and instead painted around it until I removed it and they patched it leaving a raised un-​sanded bump in the wall. The toilet and vanity surfaces are permanently scratched from the work that was done in the bathroom after their installation.
The tile was horrendous, and they had to come back and redo one of the walls after a resolution through the BBB. Tiles were not straight, not evenly spaced, not level, pieces protruded, and the patterns were not consistent. The tiled window opening was not square with an inch larger opening at the top than bottom. Grout was cracking and/​or missing in places, had multiple shades from mixing inconsistencies, and was never sealed even though they took the bottle of sealant I purchased with them.
When our concerns were addressed the contractor consistently made excuses for the problems citing the old building or too high expectations for the existing property. Whenever problems arose the owner/​president would be unresponsive and I would instead hear from one of his employees. Please save yourself a lot of time, money, and hassle and do not hire this company.

To respond to All Renovation’s reply: We discussed the knob placement with the crew. The knobs on the cabinets are on correctly, but the drawer pulls are all off center. I really doubt they honestly thought that we wanted our drawer pulls all placed just (or sometimes more than just) off center. They were rushing to finish the job and it shows — plain and simple.

Great guys, great work! They did everything they were supposed to very timely and prompt. I did not know a lot about the technical stuff but they made suggestions to help me out! VERY GOOD SERVICE FOR A GOOD PRICE.

We had All Renovations do some work on our townhouse last year and again this month for another bathroom. The estimate was fair and the owner was pleasant to deal with. We really get anxious about the whole process of hiring contractors as we’ve been burned in the past by other people, but the quality of work, their promptness at addressing all issues, and the overall great experience made working with All Renovations worth it.
The work was completed in the amount of time they said and the the quality of their work shows. No sloppy grout work or leaks in the bathrooms and no cracking or warping on the laminate floor in the living room. I really wanted my old townhouse to look new and they were able to do that. Next up on the list is the kitchen!

My husband and I first heard about All Renovations when we praised some work done in our neighbor’s house. They had added an additional bath on the third floor (converted attic) of their townhouse and had opened up the master bathroom. Since our house has the same basic structure (and a master bathroom also partially tucked under some stairs) we were very interested. When our neighbors enthusiastically talked about the amazing price they got for the work, our interest turned into a telephone call.
I love the way All Renovations works:
1 — The owner does his walk-​through. He takes enough time to make sure he understands everything you’re interested in doing and gives great ideas about innovative alternatives.
2 — The final bid is sent within a few days. His bids are detailed and carefully put together. We had no questions about what would be done and exactly how much it would cost.
3 — Once you agree to the contract, the chosen contractor comes to your house to do the supply walk-​through. Our contractor told us everything we needed to get, broken down by amount, sizes and specifications. In my opinion, this is the best part. All Renovations doesn’t mark up for the cost of materials and then buy the cheapest stuff, because you pick everything you want, buy it and have it at your house ready for installation.
This may not be ideal for everyone, but we are HGTV-​lovers without the time or knowledge to do everything ourselves. In the bid, we were given a range of stores from the cheapest (Home Depot and Lowes) to the most fancy (Ferguson’s — with contact names). We got to choose exactly the themes that we wanted, from tiles & matching grout to the wallplates and outlets (stainless steel and black outlets look great in our new bathroom).
4 — The contractor (s) starts work and *poof* a while later you have a new bathroom/​kitchen/​other room that you love.
We redid two bathrooms, the half-​bath by the front door and our master bathroom. All Renovations did a fabulous job and showcased their experience in almost every facet of construction: framing and drywalling, electrical work, plumbing, tiling, etc.
We had several issues that arose during construction (who doesn’t during renovation?) as a result of some interestingly placed plumbing. However, this ended up to our advantage since both the owner and the contractor were able to come up with creative solutions that actually enhanced the look of our bathroom.
Our bathrooms were finished a few days ago, and we’ve already continued the trend of enthusiastically recommending All Renovations to other neighbors who like our new bathrooms!
