I have liked the feel and the fit of Pendleton’s jackets(especially). I liked them so much that I recently qualified for Pendleton’s «Gift Certificate» of $ 50. – to be used, however, not online, but only for a telephone order. I thought that was a bit odd, but I went ahead and called the number and ordered, thinking I would save $ 50. with my «Gift Card.» I ordered one blazer – guess how much shipping cost??? $ 57.00WHAT!?! Some«Gift Card”– How can Pendleton rationalize charging $ 57.00 to ship one jacket??? very disappointing customer service.

You might have started seeing Pendleton brand stuff pop up in high fashion shops– a women’s Pendleton cape here, a men’s buffalo plaid scarf here. But when you come to the Pendleton store in Old Town, just be prepared– it’s not hipster central but that’s not to say they’re not purveyors of fine goods. Some of the clothing might be on par with a more Southwestern themed L.L. Bean– lots of plaids, lots of layering pieces and clothing that is more functional as it is fashionable. While their clothing may not be my speed, their selection of high quality blankets are, adorned with Native American prints, stripes or plaids. They could run you up close to $ 100+ but the quality is definitely there. They also have a wide array of scarves– I don’t care if they’re considered mens’ or not– buffalo plaid could be worn by both guys and gals if you ask me. Overall? A very homey retailer with friendly clerks that dish out basic accessories but definitely not your one stop shop.
