Friday night is pizza night at our house. My hubby loves to walk over to Paradiso and have a beer(or two) while waiting for our standard order: the Macellaio and two Insalata Paradiso salads. The draft IPA beers change often and there’s always a wide variety. The pizza crust is perfect in our opinion – thin, crunchy on the edges, and stands up to the toppings all the way to the center. This place is consistently good. Excellent service(both at the bar and at a table). Casual atmosphere with high quality food and drink. Our kind of place!

I have eaten at Pizzeria Paradiso twice over the last two years. It is located on the lower end of King Street near many places mostly frequented by tourist. The front space boasts two large floor to ceiling windows which are nice for people watching while enjoying your pizza/brew. Towards the back of the restaurant is a large open kitchen and to the left is a small bar. Pizza Paradiso does two things really well and that is the pizza and beer. After trying almost every place in Old Town this spot has one of the better craft beer selections and definitely the best on King Street. They have many bottles and drafts to choose from which include some hard to get and respectable breweries. Also, there is nothing better to pair with good beer than good pizza. The slices I have had have been enjoyable but not life changing. Both times our service has been satisfactory and friendly. Pizza Paradiso is a place I often choose on the whim when craving something satisfying after a long week at work for a decent price. I would recommend them to a friend and return. Thanks!

After wondering around Old Town for a while we decided we wanted lunch and Pizzeria Paradiso interested us. First off, they did not have Hawaiian Pizza on the menu, which tells me they are serious about pizza, second they had a nice beer selection. We were not disappointed. I got the Macellaio pizza and my friend got the Margharita. On both the crusts were properly cooked, not overdone, but nice and cripy. The dough was properly chewy but not rubber. The tomato sauce had excellent flavor and hte other ingredient were plentiful and tasty. The grease level was almost non existent. This was a very very good pizza. The beer list leans towards Belgians but also has some very good craft stouts and IPAs. The service was prompt and very friendly. On this Saturday afternoon the place was relatively empty and quiet which made for a very nice intimate meal for the two of us.

I wish I had a review on the food but I didn’t get that far because the customer service was soooooo bad. I walk in, get seated and a young female comes over plops some olives on our table and mumbles something. She goes back and asks if me and my guest were ready to eat. I told her I never been there before can you explain all the specs. She proceeds to say that’s the drink menu, that’s the food menu, and that’s the specials. I was like well no what about the pizza size like, she points to a wall where some cartoon pizzas were and says they are that size. Then I told her we needed more time because at that point she was getting smart with me and all I wanted to do was eat. So I got up and left. Hopefully no one ever gets this server. I don’t know her name because again she didn’t say that. She was horrible!!!

I’ll give it a three star only because there was too much oil in almost everything. The pizza was great but the coffee was terrible. Overall ok place, a little overpriced and overrated.

I was deciding between Pizzeria Paradiso and Red Rocks for dinner with my family on 12÷23÷15. I chose Pizzeria Paradiso having been there once before. First of all I really like the ambiance of Pizzeria Paradiso. It feels casual and special all at the same time. If the restaurant is not crowded it is very easy to hear the people you’re dining with. I appreciated the fact that our waiter did not push us with our orders when our entire party had not arrived. I thought our waiter checked in on us the appropriate number of times.(I should mention that one of the members of my family was not happy with the service and would have liked to see our waiter more.) I have to agree with my fellow Unilocalers for the size of the pizza it is slightly overpriced. I feel like I get more value for my money at Red Rocks than Pizzeria Paradiso. In a nutshell, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pizzeria Paradiso but the next time I am feeling pizza on King Street I will check out Red Rocks first.

What a fantastic restaurant! I have been coming to this place with my family ever since I was a baby. We used to live only a few trolley stops away, and when we moved we truly missed our favorite pizza place. The pizza is extraordinary! It has never disappointed and always tastes delicious. I don’t drink, but my friends do and they love this restaurant’s beer! All in all, whenever we visit Old Town, we have to eat here!

Food was good. Stopped in for one beer and a pizza and the bar tender Taylor was to cool for school. Did not say even one word to me and me and my girlfriend and was acually was very rude as we ordered a small pizza and one beer. Not one word like he was doing it on purpose. Don’t work there if you don’t like it.

Just had a pizza and beers at the bar along with another recent reviewer. Contrary to what some will have you believe, Taylor is one of the best bartenders around. Bottom line is, all the bartenders at Paradiso are great… talk to them, they’ll talk to you… order some beers and/or food they’ll make it happen… sit there quietly waiting to be served and they may be busy with everyone else at the bar or changing a keg that kicked… that pretty much goes for any bar. Keep up the good work Taylor! As for Paradiso as a whole… good pizza and great beer. No better beer selection in old town, plus they have a great happy hour M-Th. BTW the grumpy review I’m alluding to above was during happy hour. If you can’t be happy during HAPPY hour when can you be happy.

My favorite place to eat, hands down. Its our date night spot. The crust is sooooo good, bubbly sometimes, add the flavor from the ovens-oh my god. I always get the Quattro Fromaggi small. They use the best and freshest ingredients. I wasnt sure how id feel about the bleu on it, sometimes it tends to be overpowering, but how they do it works really really good. They have a really interesting and creative selection of toppings which you can use to build your own. Also those of you who cant have gluten– you can get gluten free for a small additional charge. The meat and cheese plate has to be one of the best starters– Mortadella is my all time favorite charcuterie meat. Some sort of Drunken Goat Cheese always seems to make its way on the plate, which I dont usually share, that cheese is all mine. Plus I really enjoy the hot pepper that comes with it, the oil runs into the meats and cheeses and adds that little pop of flavor. The 4 star is only because of the beer, for the sake of friends(we dont drink), is really expensive. I mean they have an awesome selection. But $ 10 for an 8oz glass is a little steep in my opinion. But that for sure is not even close to enough to keep us from coming back.

The pizza and beer selection was good and the atmosphere was what you would expect. The pizza crust on all our selections were very good, and the toppings were as well. The paradise red sauce was good, but too wet for pizza(imho), resulting in ‘topping slide’. The macellaio was very good. The bottarga had real potential — but the eggs were much too runny for a pizza. The romana salad was great. Generally very satisfying experience, but we expect more consistency from a restaurant to give 4 stars.

Good selection of beers, but overpriced pizza that has nothing special, ordered a Margherita pizza with extra tomato. Arrived cold, extra tomato was raw, cold, my wife ordered a special order since she is allergic to certain things and the pizza arrived with anchovies when she was pretty specific about wanting only cheese and nothing else. When she complained they brought another one free of charge. Nice atmosphere and cool décor, but not enough to make or recommend this place or want to come back. The place is always full, so people must like it. I just think its not worth the $$$.

We went here for dinner around 730ish on a Friday night. It was really crowded, as expected, but we managed to snag a spot at the bar area for 2 people right away. My boyfriend had been here before, but this was my first time. They have a large selection of drafts and bottled beers, with decent prices. Pizza + Beer sounds like a great combination. We tried the Dorado($ 6) and Desolation($ 7) beers, both pretty good. For the pizza, we went with the 12-inch MINIERA($ 21) — Paradiso Tomato Sauce or Birreria Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Three Toppings of Your Choice(We chose lamb sausage, sweet red peppers, baby arugula). They put a mountain of arugula on top of our pizza, we probably will not be choosing that topping next time. Nonetheless, the pizza was still very yummy, would definitely come back.

A friend from home was in the area and we decided to stop here for happy hour to catch up. We were greeted promptly by the server in the bar area. I really like their bar area as you can actually sit at the bar, or around the large table or counter in the bar area. The server clearly explained the specials and what was what for happy hour which I appreciate. We got some beers and ciders and split a few pizzas. I am not a huge beer drinker so it is nice that more and more places have cider on tap. The pizzas came out quickly and were delicious. Their sauce was zingy with a good balance of flavor. When happy hour was ending the server came around to see if we wanted anything else before it ended, again something else I appreciate. The service was great and the food is always solid. I will definitely be back again.

We are here on a Thursday during happy hour. $ 5 appetizers-bruschetta was crunchy and flavorful. All draft beers are ½ off. Pizzas also reduced price. TVs in the bar. Great way to try out new craft beers! Speedy service and good food only a few blocks from the waterfront. We would spend money here again!

This review is for dinner for five on a Wednesday service As we waited for everyone in our party to arrive, we cocktailed at the large, communal table near the bar. If you’re in the bar area, you order from the bar. The bartender, Daniel, was absolutely fine. Good recommendations, quick service and relaxed attitude. Once we were seated, our server was rather lackluster. Towards the end of the meal, it appears she clocked-out and went home, but a manager or another server took over to get us our check. bar Strong selection of beer, with plenty of IPAs for me. Choices were reasonably well thought out. Good offerings from most beer styles. I had Ithaca Flower Power, which always satisfies. My wife had FireStone DoubleJack in a bottle, as that was their only double/imperial IPA offering. Everyone in our group found a beer to enjoy. food Wood-fired pizza, no surprises there. We had a Macellaio(tomato sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, sausage and red onion) a Minera(tomato sauce, mozzarella with sausage) and a four cheese. All were certainly good enough. None of us ooh-ed and ahh-ed too much, but it was solid fare. Then again, most of us were pizza snobs! We also had the Insalata Romana(escarole, artichoke, sundried tomato, white bean with parmesan). Again, no one had the food moment of their life, but there certainly were no complaints. This place is a solid choice. details Big, open, happy noisy place. Plenty bright, clean and light. We arrived 8pm on a Wednesday and it was very busy. Extrapolate that out to a Saturday night and plan accordingly. Typical Old Town parking, but that’s expected.

This isn’t a tourist destination and this isn’t Pizza Hut or even a Mellow Mushroom. Know your pizza and your beer before you come here to make an educated decision on what you will like. This is a place that for the most part, locals go to to try new beers and eat good pizza. I have tried quite a bit off of their menu and finally found what is to become my regular. The«build your own option» with the bierrera sauce, pine nut, basil leafs and prosciutto. Couple that with a good beer and you’re set. There are a lot of complaints about the service, I’ve had nothing but great experiences here, every time. I even chose this spot to celebrate my birthday with my friends, and it was great. The bar staff are super knowledgable about their beer and always point me in the right direction. They usually always give me a couple free samples and if I purchase a big bottle of something they haven’t had I always give them samples as well. With that I always end up with at least one drink comped, even if it’s the cheapest on my tab. So yeah, maybe they are short with fanny pack sun visor wearing yuppies who stumble in thinking they are in for an 18 inch cheese infused grease slab so it slides down their gluttonous throats easily. Can you blame them, though? Before you make a review about their services, try working in the customer service industry for a few years first. If you are someone who appreciates quality pizza, and an array of quality beers check these guys out. Daniel is behind the bar a good bit and is an awesome fella. Monday through Thursday 4 – 7 is happy hour in the bar area, half off draughts and discounted pizza.

Really great pizza. Gourmet pizza that is. Only downfall to this place is the atmosphere. SOMUCHGOINGON. It was so noisy and the music was loud. we couldn’t have a conversation without basically screaming to each other across the table. Not a good place to have an intimate conversation. Otherwise the food was great and well made. I loved the olives they give at the beginning of the meal and how they have Rosemary(or I think thyme) inside the olive oil. All about details.

After a day of walking and exploring Old Town, we stopped by Pizzeria Paradiso for a nice meal and I must say that I was quite impressed by their pizza. We tried the Macellaio, which was absolutely delicious! What made the pizza stand out was the mozzarella cheese and the crust. The meat toppings were also very tasty. If you are looking for rustic Italian style pizza, this is the place to go. The 12-inch pizza was enough for the 2 of us to share. Also worth mentioning is their complimentary olives — they are HUGE!
