If I could give this place negative stars I would! I saw a chandelier in store and told the shopkeeper/owner that I would like to purchase the chandelier plus one more TOHANGINTHESAMEROOMSIDEBYSIDE. She said they did not have 2 of the same chandelier, but it would not be a problem as she would just order another of the chandelier in the store. Well, when the chandeliers were shipped to my home they were 2 different chandeliers – one was flush mount one was semi-flush mount; the number of bulbs were different, etc. And it was clear they were 2 different models. To obscure this, the seller – The Dutch Lady – physically cut the bottom part off of both the chandelier manuals so that the model numbers could not be seen AND scratched off all of the identifying information on the boxes. Despite this, I was able to do some super sleuth work and determine the actual model numbers for each of the items(which were different) AND where the retailer, The Dutch Lady, purchased the chandeliers from. Turns out they had marked each chandelier up over 50%!! Now, don’t get me wrong, I understand there is and will be a markup on items purchased retail. But typically that amount is 30% or somewhere in the vicinity – not 50%. Further, when I raised the issue with the retailer that I had received 2 different chandeliers – not what I ordered – they were rude, abrasive, and incoherent in their communications. Insisting that I had 2 of the same items. I took pictures of the 2 different cover photos on the instruction manuals that were clearly different to show I was not crazy. I tried to return one or both of the chandeliers – as they were not what I ordered – at which point the seller became apologetic and agreed to take 1 of the chandeliers back – at a 25% restocking fee!!! Note, this fee was never disclosed at the time of sale, shipping, or otherwise. I ultimately returned both items and disputed the charges through my credit card company(a process that required submitting a letter with 21 exhibits!!!). Save yourself the hassle. Do not shop here!!!

Today was my third trip back to see the Dutch Lady. The first time I purchased a lovely lace table runner and the second time I purchased two more for bridal shower décor, which I can reuse anytime!!! Everyone commented how beautiful the linens were today I went back and purchased runners as Christmas gifts for all the lady’s in my family!!! I always look forward to stopping in at Nakita’s shop to talk with her and see if she has anything new!!! I highly recommend this store if you are looking to dress up you table or home!!!

Horrible place! The Dutch lady is very rude and impolite to customers that she does not feel is of the appropriate social class. Avoid this place at all costs unless you are looking to be treated badly. A very pompous and pretentious store with shabby merchandise.

I wandered into this little boutique and left with elegant, wonderful(no-iron) napkins, laundry soap bar(all-natural) and enjoyed conversation with the owner. I didn’t have time to explore the whole store, but she had lovely items and she threw in a small cachet bag as a thank you gift. I will go back next time I am in that area.
