Went there for lunch with my parents and 2 year old daughter. After ordering off of the«express lunch» menu, it took more than 45 minutes to get our food. We actually got up to leave, but our food came out as we were leaving. The food was good, but it took entirely too long for a lunch. Also, I didn’t want the whole kids meal for my child, and only ordered a cheese quesadilla thinking it would be an a la cart item. We were charged the full $ 6.99 price of the kids meal! I would have questioned it, but I had taken my daughter out while my parents paid because she was done with sitting in there. Should have read other reviews prior to going since this seems to be a reoccurring problem. Probably won’t be back.

Just was in the Green Turtle today being Stir crazy from the snow storm. thought I would get something to eat. I sat in the bar section. The waiter came over and ordered a drink. Waited 15 minutes for him to come back. He never did, no menu nothing… I left… Terrible service. and the bar was pretty much empty. The bar is in a prime location they just need to get their act together or they wont be there long. I wont be back.

Super slow service. I ordered a medium burger, waited 45 minutes for it to come out over done. The second burger took almost as long and was also over cooked. It was lunch time and the place was dead so they really have zero excuse.

Came here for my daughters birthday lunch. On this snowy cold Sunday. Ollie had mini cheese burgers and buddy boy had corn dogs. Daughter had a Cobb salad. Kids food was ok. I had chicken finger basket. The fingers we good, hot and spicy. The fries were luke warm at best. Daughters salad was ok but missing the CHICKEN! The service was S L O W…30 minutes to get food from time we ordered. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because they took off the 12 dollar salad. I won’t be back.

We actually just literally left The Greene Turtle after sitting at the bar for 10 minutes without so much as a glance from the bartender. There were 14 customers in the entire bar at Midnight on a Saturday night. They were far from busy, and the lack of acknowledgments from the staff at The Greene Turtle was honestly inexcusable. The bartender, dare I even give her that esteemed title, didn’t walk over to the side of the bar we were at to even check on the other bar patrons. From reading some of the other reviews this is something that appears to happen a lot at this place. One of my biggest pet peevs is a restaurant staffed with servers and bartenders who ignore or are inattentive to customers ESPECIALLY when they aren’t busy! I will give the green turtle another chance, possibly take my daughter there for dinner or lunch and will update my review after that, but I would have to be seriously hard pressed for a drink to ever pick this spot as a Girls Night Out spot since the bar staff seems to be less than desirable on more than one occasion.

I stopped in here awhile back, and I had a few beers and specialty fritter made from shredded potatoes and cheese. With a very cool bar and über friendly bartenders, I really wanted to give this place a few more stars, but the memory of this horrible fritter still lingers with me to this day. It came out so over-cooked and burned that I had to send it back after the first bite; unfortunately, round two of the fritter fiasco was not much better. The upside to the Green Turtle is definitely the bar which is huge with a ton of TVs, a perfect spot for watching a game. They also do a mug club where regulars can keep their personalized ceramic mug at the bar. I love this idea, and if I lived closer, I would be all over this one. The bartenders were also cool, and I think that I will have to stop back in as soon as the memory of that fritter fades.

I always try to see the best in things. I struggled to enjoy my time at this place. The service needs better attention. The waitress knew she brought me the wrong beer and ask me if I would drink the wrong beer instead of going back for the beer I ordered. She admitted the bartender poured the wrong beer. Then our food came… ordered a burger and chips. The plate looked like they literally threw a handful of chips on it and dropped the burger on the plate as the plate was leaving the kitchen. Overall the burger was ok, nothing to get excited over. I’ll try this place again only because it’s close to my house… hopefully the service and food improves.

I have to update this review. The original 4 star review was for their mug club, which I enjoyed. But it’s not such a hot deal when they pad your bill with extra drinks. Twice I’ve gone to watch the game and twice I’ve had extra beers I didn’t order added to my tab. The first time they admitted the mistake and corrected it. The second time, I watched just the first half of the football game. During that time I had 5 beers.(Don’t judge, I was thirsty…) My check came and I realized I had been charged for 7. When I called them on it, they treated me like a drunk who couldn’t count. «Are you sure? How many beers do YOU think you had?» Well, since I’m not falling down drunk I’m pretty sure I didn’t have 718 oz beers in just under 2 hours. I ended up paying for 6 even though I was positive I only had 5. The bar staff is a mixed bag. Some of them are very professional and friendly. Others not so much. I hope they get it together, although I have a feeling my mug is gonna get pretty dusty. And Kingstowne continues it’s long and painful search for a decent place to get a beer…

This is literally the 3rd& final time I will come to this restaurant! 3 out of 3 times I have been seated & waited more than 15 min(average) for a server to acknowledge my presence. Each time I’ve had to approach the host/hostess to beg for service, so It seems as if there’s a disconnect between the people responsible for seating you & the wait staff. Don’t bother to approach management with any issues, they are also non-existent. The food is not worth the wait or the hassle. I give this place 0 out 5 stars but the app forces you to give at least one in order to post.

I can’t say that I had the worst pizza I ever ate at this joint, but they came painfully close. Came with a group, had a few beers and a good time. We ordered food and I took a chance on a margarita pizza flatbread. Like some past relationships, it was a chance I’d come to regret. It came from the kitchen smothered in a brownish red sauce. Margarita pizza does not have sauce. There were also blobs of cheese, each topped with a dried tomato. I considered sending it back, but I try not to be that guy and I was with friends so I didn’t. Again with the choices I regret. The sauce, which shouldn’t have been there, was as bitter as it was ugly. Later that night, I learned how ugly that sauce could be. I was staying with my friends, we were at their home, chatting, when I had a tremendous surge of acid reflux and heartburn that was so bad my friends could see on my face when it happened. I never have reflux. It was like my body trying to throw the pizza back. And as if my suffering wasn’t enough, when one of my friends offered to get me some antacid, her boyfriend said«I need one too». He’d had the meatball flatbread — same sauce. I learned two lessons on my visit to the Green Turtle. The pizza here is bad. Really bad. But I also learned that my buddy who ate the meatball flatbread also makes regretful choices. Ok, truthfully, I’ve seen him make regretful choices before, but I love the guy anyhow. I don’t love this pizza.

Long wait, food is not that great. You can find better restaurants for the money. The server are too slow maybe because is a new place. A little expensive, I don’t recommend it.

The good: they had a OKAY beer list, and the staff was very pleasant. The food was tasty, but… The bad: Small portions, and very pricey for what it was. Over-presented bar food. Period. I’ll drive to Old Town next time where I can get my fish and chips for almost half the price as I watch the game…

New neighborhood bar in town. We’ve eaten there a few times. Chicken tenders have too much batter on them, but their sauces are great. They have a strong wing game. I’ve ordered takeout before of their buffalo dip and for $ 10, it was about a tablespoon of dip. Big fail. We ordered the buffalo nachos before. Lacking chicken and substance. I’ve had the pulled pork tacos, however, and those were plentiful and smoky, if not a bit too hickory for my liking(I like a Carolina-vinegar BBQ). Lively, fun environment with tons of TVs on of pretty much every sports game happening. My bf was pleased that one evening they had the fight on that most people have to pay $ 100 on PPV to see, so that is a plus for sports-lovers(and their reluctant girlfriends). I also think it’s cool how they have TV’s on at their pub tables, as well as live music every Friday night. This place is full of entertainment value. They have a nice draft beer list, great seasonal beers, as well as a pretty good wine selection, so the overall point with this sports bar, is the food ain’t that great so don’t come here and order steak or fish. Stick to the basics and beer and you will have a good time.

(3.5) Pretty decent, went here for a late night snack with my main squeeze where we wanted to sample a few appetizers & of course, kick back with a few brews: Chicken Tenders — YUM, cooked and seasoned well and the breading was awesome Crab Pizza — Yuck. It’s basically a little bit of crab on top of a pita with mozzarella on top and that’s it. was NOT satisfying :(Nice try, GT Fried Pickles — Can’t go wrong, I enjoyed how they used the spears instead of the round circles They had a decent selection of beers — DC Brau and Blue Moons were ordered on this night and service was attentive. There are TONS of tv’s, and i’m sure Springfieldians will welcome a new sports bar to the area as I don’t believe there are too many.

Not accommodating to working crowd for lunch! Came here for lunch with coworkers. Greeted at the door by friendly staff and asked for patio seating. The menu is typical sports grille dishes. Flat breads, salads, wings with a ton of flavors, sandwiches, etc. My party were three of my co-workers. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken add-on. Not only did my order take 45 minutes it came 5 minutes after my coworkers meals. When my meal finally did arrive I told the waitress politely that I did not want it as we needed to get back and I did not want to take a salad home in a doggie bag. The manager did come out and apologize but offered no explanation as to why our meals took so long(even 20 minutes is too long for a lunch order. There was no one there) only to say it was unacceptable and she was taking my lunch off the bill, which is fine since I did not eat it. Unless they are going to improve their lunch service, I will not be coming back for lunch. My co worker even told the waitress that I was a Unilocaler and I was all prepared to give them a high score The food consumed by my staff was ok but hard to honestly judge since the service took long it gave us a bitter taste which is unfortunate because for sporting events, this is a place to bring your group. Plenty of tvs, space, and drafts. It’s a brand new Resturant and the energy seems is high. Plenty of free parking at the Wegmans shopping center. I will try to update my review and give another chance. They are new but for now I can’t get to even an average of three stars

Average sports bar. Lots of tvs. Good number of servers so tables were well serviced. My issue was more with food and drink. Got unlimited razz lemonade and was just not to my liking. Some items like drinks and desserts lack prices on menu which can annoy penny pinching dinners. $ 4 for lemonade. $ 3.29 for unlimited refills on ginger ale. You can add hard liquor to lemonade too which I’m short bumps drink to close to $ 10. Meal was so so. Hard to judge food on one meal but endless I need a sports fix won’t return often.

Place has potential… lots of tvs, good happy hour specials with about 15 beers on tap. The service was pretty terrible though. Our waitress seemed uninterested in the service aspect of her service oriented job, and had little to no understanding of the beers they had on tap. After the waitress failed to return with the info I had asked about the beer(what the starr hill seasonal was), I went to the bar to ask/order and the bartender was helpful and responsive. Protip: don’t sit in Mary’s section.

My husband wanted to watch his college football game, but our cable package doesn’t have the channel so he is happy that this place is opened. He asked the host if the game that he wanted to watch was playing, but it wasn’t; however, one of the staff members turned it on for him. He was happy. For the food, we ordered the following: Buffalo Chicken Sandwich — My husband thought it was juicy. I didn’t get to try it as I don’t like bleu cheese. Maryland Crab Soup — I like that they have plenty of veggies and crab meat. Although it was a little on the salty side, it had a little spicy kick to it which I like. Boneless Buffalo Chicken Wings — I ordered the one with the Sriracha sauce. It was fine. Surprisingly my son, who is working on building his spicy food tolerance, ate 2 pieces. Kid’s Cheese Pizza — My son thought it was good. My husband ordered a Blue Moon and my son and I both had strawberry lemonade to drink. I thought the lemonade was refreshing and it was nice that we got free refills. Service was good. Since the restaurant is still brand new, I also like that it doesn’t have that stale flat beer smell. This might change in about a year though.
