Just got my hair done by Alice today and I cannot wait to rave about her to my friends and coworkers.
Alice is lovely, funny, knowledgeable, and an all around great person and of course amazing stylist! After many years of ruining my hair as an angsty teenager, I let my hair grow up to build up to this moment of getting my virgin hair dyed professionally and I knew it had to be done by someone that had to be amazing. Luckily for me, I found Alice from countless months of researching and can’t be happier with the service and detailing she put in.
I love my custom color and the fact that my hair feels even more healthier than before. Every dollar was worth it. Not only will you get great hair, you’ll get the best service to accompany it. Definitely will be coming back!

I love Alice! She is really good at what she does – and equally as important – is fun and great to talk to. She answered all my questions, gave suggestions, and was honest about what would and wouldn’t work about what I was asking for. She even showed me step by step how to style my new hairdo. Yes, it’s more than I’m used to paying for a haircut, but for the experience, confidence, and attention to detail it is definitely worth it. One thing I will say that has nothing to do with her though is that it’s hard to find on maps. But if you search for Wegmanss on Beulah, you will find it.

I am fairly new to the area and searched for about a month to find someone that does balayage, as well as knows what they are doing! I’m so glad I found Alice, I absolutely love my hair! She has a clean, comfortable studio and is so fun to talk to! Alice is a true artist and knows her stuff, I highly recommend her!

I see Alice every couple of months to get some mix of unicorn colors in my hair. These can be long sessions because of all the steps involved, but she makes you feel right at home in the studio. She’s easy to talk to but doesn’t try to talk the entire time, and will let you pick shows to watch on TV.
Like others have said here, she treats her clients’ hair like an art piece. She knows how to blend and contrast colors, and how different textures of hair will respond differently to the same cut or color.
Although most of her featured work is on long hair, she knows her way around a short cut. She took several inches off my hair last year, from layered BSL to a funky assymetrical inverted bob. It turned out perfectly!
I’ll keep returning to her as long as she’s open for business!

Went to Alice for the first time to get rid of the yellow blonde color I have and have a lighter silver color– she did an AMAZING job! The color turned out beautiful and the layers she gave me were gorgeous. So talented and such a sweetheart! Amazing vibes in her studio and I would recommend her to everyone I know that’s looking for new edgy fun colors!

Alice is a hair goddess — I’m so glad I finally found someone that I can trust with my hair! I went to another salon in an attempt to get gray which faded out after one wash. My hair was bleached, dry and severely damaged. Alice used a gray toner, cut off all my dead ends and I was in and out of her salon in just under 2 hours. She is so friendly and personable and is truly an artist at what she does. I highly recommend her to anyone in the DMV area — she is the best hair stylist I’ve found after living here for 8 years!

Alice saved my hair. .. so, basically Alice saved my life.
I feel fortunate to have found someone with her knowledge of chemistry and artistic edge. For what it’s been through, my hair should have fallen out by now (I highly recommend Kerastase as well).
The Scary Hair Journey and the Happy Ending:
Just last spring I was a Balayage regular with long hair – I loved it! But then, one fateful day, I went to the Lorraine April Salon in Alexandria (save your money; avoid this place like it’s a plague). I asked for a Balayage touch up; simple. My hair was wrecked! «Oops!» the stylist would repeatedly say. After that, I went to another salon in Edinburgh, Scotland (where I study). Disgusted with my Balayage-​Bomb-​Fail-​Ugly hair I asked for a light brown, all over «natural color.» Epic Fail! My hair was next to black, not even close to the six inches of light brown roots growing out. It was one of those hair colors where you think. .. I may have well just taken a permanent sharpie marketer to my hair. Four inches needed to be cut from the bottom. My hair was wrecked, ugly (FUGLY) and short. I cried, and then bought the roughest clarifying shampooI could find.
I went to Alice thinking, I can just balayage all the drama away.
Instead, Alice came up with a plan of action based on her professional experience. She was concerned about how my hair would look down the road, wanting it to look good not just now, but later too.
That’s Awesomely impressive! I felt safe, but I was a little worried the box-​like color that was in my hair would put up a fight – would I leave looking like Carrot Top?
Nope.
I seriously did not think my hair could do this! The crap color was removed; my hair was toned to a livable/​lovable color; No hair was damaged (I didn’t even need a trim); I can go back in a few months, continue the process to destination dream balayage (with some unicorn color).

I got my hair done by Alice yesterday, I got the unicorn hair because I wanted to do something bold and fun. I told Alice what I wanted, and she told me what we could do, from there on it was working the magic! She really really knows what she’s doing and what is going to look good. Even her regular colorings (ombré, baylage) look AMAZING. I seriously can’t recommend her enough and I have literally been getting compliments on my hair all day. Even my family who aren’t really fans of alternative hair colors said my hair was fantastic. Seriously, Alice’s amazing talent is well worth the prices she charges and I’m so glad I chose her to help me change my life

I went to Alice a while ago to get a trim and ombré. I butchered my bangs and used boxed dye before, and she did an amazing job fixing it up! She suggested a light ombré? (something like that) but she basically took my black Asian hair to a nearly blonde color, leaving the roots and fading the color lighter. I was really shocked when I saw it, but I love it now! It’s been growing out great Even after bleaching twice (once from box dye) my hair isn’t broken. The process took about 3 hours, and she was fun to hang out with the entire time. I think I paid about 300 including tip for a color and cut. I’m usually really stingy about spending money on hair, but this was money well spent. Super happy!

Was long over due for a hair cut and Alice did an awesome job. She was really friendly and listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that! I will definitely make this my new salon.

Love Alice’s work! She is a true artist with color, but also does awesome haircuts (a rare combination to find someone who does both well).
I had been looking for a great stylist in the area and now I’ve found one who can do both a color and cut to my satisfaction at a reasonable price.
Alice is a wonderful person, has the cutest setup, and is very accommodating. Trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed in her!

I went to Alice today after today after finding her on Unilocal.I was looking for someone to do a true ombré not your typical Washington boring highlights. Alice is very friendly and knowledgable. Her shop is in s shared studio which is refreshing because it takes all the pomp and circumstance out of getting your hair done and truly lets you connect with your stylist. Alice understood immediately the look I was trying to achieve and performed it effortlessly. The color is probably one of the best I have ever received and because Alice does everything herself you don’t feel like you are getting passed around between different people within a salon. She doesn’t rush the process in order to move on to the next customer. I am very happy to say that when she was done I felt like I had Pinterest worthy hair! Holy Grail!!!

I was really nervous at first because I’m new to the city but she’s the only one who had good reviews that my computer at work would let me look at. I like how adventurous the pictures looked even though I just wanted my bangs cut. Everything was wonderful and I had my grandma along visiting and she was super nice to her as well. Kept the conversation going and asked me a lot of detailed questions about how I wanted my hair :) and how my grandma was liking the kardashians lol. After I left I still felt alittle nervous about my hair, but complete strangers came up to me saying how great my hair looked and so on! I couldn’t be happier. I think I found a good permanent hair person

This was my first time visiting this salon and I’m in LOVEEEE! I recently moved here from Seattle, WA and was in dire need of a cut. I did a lot of research on salons around me (Leesburg) and didn’t like what I saw or read.
When I first met Alice I knew we’d get along great! She’s very out going and fun to talk to while she’s working away on your hair. There was never an awkward moment with her like you sometimes have with other stylist. We laughed and shared stories like we were best friends. Totally made my experience awesome!
As far as my hair goes, she did a super job on it! I came in not quite knowing what I wanted to do with my hair, so we spent some time going over ideas and decided on going with a bayalage which I’ve never done before and when it was all said and done, I fell in love with it! She nailed it on the color that I wanted the blonde to turn out and styled it in nice soft curls afterwards to show off the perfect highlights.
I would highly recommend seeing Alice, she is well worth every penny you spend and the drive! I already made my touch up appointment :)

Love Alice! She’s truly an artist and LOVES hair color. While unfortunately I cannot wear ‘Unicorn Hair’ for my job, I can appreciate her other talents as a hair stylist.

I LOVE ALICE!!! Every time I come to get my hair done she does such an amazing job. She knows what to do and even helps me decide on changing it up. Normally I’m super scared about cutting my hair or having drastic changes, but she makes me love my hair more and more every time I go. I love that she takes the time to discuss the look and color with you and makes it look exactly how you pictured it. Hands down the best hairstylist I have been to in the National Capitol Region!

Many hairdressers go into the craft with huge ideas for where their creative genius may take them; few take the time to master color, and replicate that mastery to meet their clients basic needs and wildest desires.
Alice Su is one of those few. For that reason I highly recommend her work to anyone who seeks a highly tailored vision of beauty, starting with their head of hair.
Oh and can you say ombré? How about pixelated hair? Alice can do. Above and beyond.

Alice is like… mama kawaii mermacorn hair maker & totally awesome balls. She really knows what’s best for your hair to be trendy and healthy at the same time… that is if you’re bold and wanna go for the «not-​so-​normal» hair colors too. I’ve been coming back to her with something new all the time. She listens to what I want, asks follow up questions to figure out exactly what I want and works her magic from there. I’m really easy to please with her color schemes so I don’t mind if she puts other colors in my hair to give it more dimension and that POP.
OH. I like the fact that she has appointment options with later hours (after 5 up until 9pm M-​F) — *TIP: her hours are really flexible with people who work regular business hours monday-​friday.

Alice is seriously amazing! I met her at another salon where she took me to a blonder state for the summer. Then I followed her to her salon for my fall look. Love the results!
I tried different salons in Baltimore, Asian and non-​Asian, and I just quit with Baltimore and started driving out further to find someone who can execute modern and trendy styles on Asian hair. Alice really listens to what you want and then works her magic.
Ambience is not as important to me as the results. But you get both here! The salon is really cute. She had magazines, music, TV, and WI-​FI! My 3 hours there really flew by. Plus Alice is just fun and easy to talk to.
I’ll be driving from Baltimore to Alexandria again soon enough!
