Barrington Resale Shop

We stopped into this store after driving past it many times.
What a great experience! The store was clean, well organized and the staff was very friendly.
We met Aaron, what a fabulous man. He demonstrated their amazing «music boxes» and record players. His knowledge and passion was incredible.
Thank you for an enjoyable Saturday afternoon experience

I frequent the comic book shop nearby and decided to stop into Barrington Resale with my brother and look around. We were greeted at the door and proceeded to look around. We stumbled upon a few phonographs to which the owner of the store (Aaron) graciously took time out of his work to educate us on his beautiful antique music players. We were amazed by how well versed and genuinely well informed Aaron was on these devices. His kindness and willingness to teach us about this lost art form was refreshing. This is the place to shop for antiques of all kinds! A wonderful store with an exceptional owner

The owner is extremely rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. Talks over you and hung up on me as I tried to ask a question. I would not recommend working with this resale shop.

A half star or maybe a zero if I could. I have never encountered a business owner who was as rude as this. I was in a time crunch, trying to get the furniture out of my deceased aunts condo and made the mistake of calling these people. I was refered to A_​_​_​_​who on the first all informed me he had just taken a bite of his lunch was busy and in a hurry and to just say what I wanted and stop wasting his time. So thinking I had perhaps called the wrong number or was speaking to the wrong person I called again and got the same rude person who was even worse this time because I actually got enough words in to say what I wanted and was berated for wanting something for free was wasting his time and no he wasn’t even going to bother finding out what I had for consignment. He constantly ran over my attempts to speak and I finally just hung up. I then called back on the main number listed on the web site thinking I could place a complaint with someone about this treatment and after several rings this same person answered and snarled“what do you want?”. I still can’t believe a person could treat a potential customer this way and stay in business. Shortly afterwards I contacted Kim’s Resale and had a pleasant and productive experience with them and got all my furniture on consignment with them.

This store had some nice unique pieces. The store was very clean and well-​organized. The employee was very friendly! It’s nice that they have a website to showcase their items. Great first visit!
