China Bistro

This place has been a family favorite ever since the owner’s family closed New Sunny in Crystal Lake. The food is prepared well and always manages to taste fresh. We’ve had good experiences here whether doing take out or dining in. The orange chicken and beef with broccoli are favorites and the salt and pepper shrimp is outstanding.

Pretty good food! Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and delicious Asian food. Our go-​to spot.

I would have given them 3 stars, but their service is lousy. Had a $ 65 order, they accidentally charged me $ 4 too much and when I pointed it out, you would have thought I called their mother bad names…
Anyway, food is pretty good. Teriyaki chicken was fresh, too much gravy.
Shrimp fried rice was really good!
Shrimp appetizer was really good!
Orange chicken, meh.
Kung Pao beef was really good.
Prices are steep, wouldn’t Return because the service is terrible

I have been ordering from this place for years. I live in Algonquin by Jacobs high school, and I would not pick any other Chinese restaurant over this place. The general’s and Orange chicken is very good. They always come in big portions, and they always offer coupons that includes free crab Rangoons. I decided to dine in today, and I ordered the chicken and broccoli. I don’t care much about the service, but nonetheless, it was good. The receptionist was my waiter, and she was nice. I had the hot and sour soup first, and that was delicious. Altogether costed me around $ 12, which was not bad. I may come back to try other their other dishes.
Lastly, this place seems to do more pick-​up or delivery. They were surprised that I wanted to dine in, and two other guys wanted to dine in, but through some miscommunication they thought those two guys wanted To-​Go. I thought that was funny.

Was great a few years ago. Now its just meh to WTF!
Round One!
Went in there one Thursday evening with the kid. Was seated, only one other table had people and they were already eating. After ten minutes we got up and left. Kid behind the counter completely forgot he had seated us. Muttered some unintelligible questions with a «oh shit» look on his face while watching us walk out.
Round Two!
Called for delivery. Ordered about $ 25 worth of food. Hour and twenty later kid shows up totally late. Gives me the check. I hand him two $ 20s. He says «Thanks» and turns to walk away. «Wait dude, Change?» I ask. He turns around and says «Oh, yeah. I don’t have change.» With the look of my mom nursed me till I was 14. «Here, give me the money back. I have change.» I head back inside and grab a $ 5. Hand him $ 25 and ask with a laugh. «Did you really think I was going to just give you a $ 15 tip, because you didn’t have change?» Close the door on his stupid ass.
I called the owner right after explaining what happened. He offered me free egg rolls next time I order. Free Egg rolls!!! Holy Shit!

Last night my boyfriend and I decided to get take out. Chinese was on our minds, but we were sick of Chens. We thought we would give China bistro a shot. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The prices are right, the delivery service was SUPER FAST, and the food tasted even better then we hoped. Looks like we found our new Chinese place!

I love my chinese food and this place hits the spot! Love the walnut shrimp and sesame chicken!

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants around the area. They have a little dine in area and the service is great. Seem to always get more for your money here.

Great food, especially the egg foo young. BE CAREFUL when redeeming coupons for free egg rolls, crab rangoons or sweet n sour chicken. They actually charged us for the items we had coupons for that should have made them free. Not once but twice.

Really perhaps the best Chinese food we’ve had. We’ve been to most around here and Schaumburg. Yu’s in Schaumburg was our champion until tonight. Everything we ordered (albeit we were hungry) was absolutely perfect. Perfect spicing…, we like things spicy and this place did not let us down. Definitely coming back… wife likes to shop next door too.
