Overpriced, but okay for the neighborhood. When you need sushi, it’s a great option to have nearby!

What a cool place! I love how it’s decorated. Great place for excellent sushi. I had the spider roll. It came very fast and was reasonably priced. I will definitely come here again next time I’m in the area.

Complementary edamame and nice décor are the only positives from my first and last visit. They had only two waitresses working on a Thursday night and it was not enough. The sushi was average to over priced for very bland and not great quality sushi. Their martinis were awful and at one point I thought our waitress left because we went so long without seeing her. There are many other local places that are much more worth a visit than Woow. It definitely did not«wow» us.

Loved the atmosphere walking in-it’s deceiving being in a strip mall but it was spacious and beautiful. The rolls were delicious-I had the Boston and philly rolls because I wasn’t feeling very adventurous that day. My friends ordered the happy roll and the fire roll… Wow! What a presentation! The fire roll arrived literally flaming around tin foil! My friends said the rolls were tasty, and we overall had a wonderful experience!

WOW! This place is good! The Fire Roll is amazing! It is a play on surf and turf and will blow your mind as the plate of flames arrives at your table.(I was thinking about this roll for at least a week after trying it!) The Godzilla roll is the honorable second; it was not only huge in size but in flavor as well. I am rating this place four stars because it seemed a little pricey for dinner. I went another day for lunch and had the three roll lunch special which was a little more reasonably priced. I will definitely be back!

The service here is beyond exceptional. Staff is always accommodating to any request. We are regulars here, you can find us here every weekend. The TLC they put into their food is extravagant. Spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll are our favorites. Fish is never sub par. We have traveled far and wide searching for the best sushi and we have found it here at Woow!

This place is a hidden gem! We came on a Friday night and it wasn’t real busy, so the service was very good. Everything we ordered was great — my dad didn’t like his Crazy Noodles, but they were just a different texture than he was expecting. My parents thought the miso soup was excellent as well. They had a good selection of sake. I got sushi and everybody else got noodle or rice dishes, so it was a good mix for everybody!

Sub par at best. Only come here because it’s close. The sushi has gone downhill in the past 6 – 8 mo. Last night the dragon roll came with well done tuna! WELLDONE! It’s sushi meaning raw. And even after we told the waitress she didn’t do anything about it. It’s pretty expensive for errors in the cooking and or flavorless sushi. Like I said its close to home but not near the bast or even very good…

OMG! The place looks amazing and the food was amazing! Staff was amazing, they offered us free appetizer edamame. Hubby got the flaming sushi roll. Smaller portion but very cool to have food on fire at your table. Defiantly coming back!

The only problem I have with going into WooW is not getting the all you can eat deal. Their selection is so varied, you want to try everything. If you compare the individual pricing and the special deal, you almost feel obligated to eat as much as you can. Atmosphere is charming. Larry Jacobson, Carpentersville, Il

Mmmm sushi. I am just glad WOW is up here. Let’s begin. We have been to Woow Sushi a few times now and have never left disappointed. The one thing that really bothers me each time is the seating. We go during lunch, not that crowded. But they feel the need to sit people next to each other. Space us out! You have the room!!! Before people say«ask for another table,» each time, we were all ready seated. They sat new people next to us. On to the food stuff. The food is always amazing with new and unique items being offered frequently. The sushi is some of the best in the in the burbs. The unique drink selections are also very well chosen with some rare finds sure to please any palette. All you can eat lunch?! Yes please. The staff is friendly and personable and the manger/owner is frequently in the restaurant, always happy to do anything. The atmosphere is modern. I always feel welcome when I am there and often do not want to leave. I would recommend Woow to anyone looking for a unique dining experience and great food. I personally prefer sushi, but the rest of the menu is just as delicious and well prepared. Its sure to please

First let me say I like this place… Good food and some of the wait staff seem to be on the ball however … On our last visit they had so many empty cardboard boxes stacked against the wall through the rear doorway that I assumed it was the back room. So I headed to the other doorway looking for the the bathroom. Nope, had it right the first time. Interesting… Next a large portion of the wait staff seemed to have nothing to do. It was easily seen because they all stand out in the open. One girl kept checking her cell phone. Others just stood and chatted. Our waitress seemed to be the only one really working. Interesting approach for a Resturant commanding $ 40 a couple on average before drinks. Here’s another approach they might consider. Send the young lady with the cell phone addiction to breakdown the boxes and get them outta the hallway so customers don’t think the hallway to the restrooms is the stockroom. Next if staff has so much time to chat, how about asking if you can get us something like a refill on our drink or a to go package for our leftovers. A group of staff standing and chatting while we wait for our waitress is bad form. Maybe it should be converted to a self serve establishment and then they can chat all they want while I help myself. Again, I do like the food…

The sushi is excellent here. They brought complimentary edamame to the table as well while we were waiting for our food which was nice. We ordered the happy roll, Godzilla roll, California roll, and sweet potato roll and they were all just as tasty as expected. The sweet potato roll might be my favorite: fried sweet potato surrounded by rice and drizzled with spicy mayo. The presentation was perfect and the price was reasonable in my book. The only downside was the lack of drink choices. I ordered a captain and coke and our server didn’t know what it was… and when I got it, all I tasted was coke. Because the sushi was so good, I will be back.

The hubs and I hit the jackpot one particular Saturday afternoon/evening; we only had one kid. Our other kids were at a Wolves game or just not with us. Our youngest was turning 9 later that week so we thought we would get all dressed up and take her to Bonefish Grill for dinner. We left the house early and arrived at Bonefish at 5:15 thinking we would be able to get a table as it was really early. Oh, were we wrong. We were told it would be anywhere to 45 minutes to an hour fifteen. I think not. We headed down Randall Road in search of a place to eat when we passed Woow. The little princess in the backseat said she thought sushi would be fun, so we went. It was not overly fun. My daughter ordered the California Roll. She said it was«meh». This kid knows her sushi and rolls as she has been eating it since before she had teeth. I ordered the Spider Roll and the Boston Roll. I have to agree with my daughter, they were«meh». My hubby ordered the Pad Thai and said it was«okay, but not great.» We ordered the green tea which was AWFUL. It tasted like hot water, not tea. We did enjoy the décor but will probably not be back.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. A bit pricey for smallish portions but not unreasonable at all considering you get free edamame with it and it seems like very fresh food. Presentation is nice and clean. Décor isn’t terrible but it’s a little much with the furry animal skin walls and the checker tiles, but one again is not awful and the place still has a nice ambience to it. Food is fresh and tasty, was expecting a little more spice to the food from reading other reviews, but that might just be me preferring spicy food. The Angel Hair Roll was very balanced in flavor and wasn’t overbearingly sweet like I feared it may be with the apple slices inside and mango sauce and crab on top. The tempura crunch on the outside was nice and crisp without being greasy like many other small sushi restaurants in the area. Could have had a bit more spice to the spicy salmon roll, but once again, that might just be a personal preference. Service wasn’t bad considering we went at dinner rush on a Friday. Wait staff was nice and food was out pretty fast. Overall this place stands out from the many sushi restaurants around the area. The quality is great for the prices and it is an overall pleasant place to go to.

Had the lunch special two sushi roll. Place was clean and nice and service was fast. I could have sworn the special came with both the soup and the salad, and I only got the soup… But I could be mistaken. Soup was good and a nice warmup to the sushi. Sushi was a great presentation and good portion. Wish the tempura roll would have been larger and more than 5 pieces and more equal to the tuna roll. Will be back again to try more options.

Really disappointed by the tom yum soup. It honestly just tasted like water with vegetables thrown in. I came in eagerly expecting a spicy sour soup and the broth neither looked nor tasted like it should have.

I read many of the reviews for WOW and I walked in almost expecting to have mediocre service, as in most of the negative reviews, it was because of the service. Well, it wasn’t the case at all. I came in for dinner and was greeted when I walked in and I had a very friendly, kind and attentive waitress. We had complimentary edamame and then we tried the Beef Negimaki(slices of beef wrapped in green onion with teriyaki sauce) and it was very good! The beef was nicely tender and juicy and the sauce had good flavor. For our dinner we shared an order of Philadelphia rolls, Boston rolls — both of which were very fresh and good, but the best one was the Fire Roll. WOW! Probably one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. The presentation was also super cool. The roll was surrounded by fire that went out after a couple of minutes. For dessert we had mango and strawberry mochi, which was really good. Will definitely recommend and come back when I’m in the mood for sushi!

This is one of my favorite sushi places. They have amazing appetizers, soups, sushi rolls and noodles. I have tried them all. They are very low key here, but te food is great. What do I mean by low key? Yesterday the hostess was wearing a sweatshirt and sweat pants. I thought now this is my kind of place. Comfy and good food. And the ambience is really cute here as well. They sat us at a table(one side booth and one side chairs) with roses. I had the white pear martini which was sweet and had the right amount of alcohol. I got a soup(usually miso or clear soup but yesterday was the Tom yum soup). I love the dynamite roll, but it is really big. You have to eat it in two bites. I also enjoyed the woow special roll and philly roll. The rolls here have a lot of fish not an overwhelming amount of rice like most sushi places. Also every time I have been here they have brought out a free edamame app. Yum!
