We order from here about every 2 weeks. It’s a take out place and they cook really fast(less than 15 mins). We usually get Mongolian beef new style & a couple side orders of pan fried noodles(we ask for it to be steamed instead). They give free crab rangoon for purchases over $ 25.

Love this place… large portions for reasonable prices. I have yet to get something I have disliked from this place. Try any of the house noodles… they are fantastic.

The lunch special is huge. 11am-3pm, $ 5.95 for an entrée, chicken-fried rice, an egg roll, and a can of pop. People say that some places have big servings, but this lunch special is genuinely a big serving. I am a big guy, and the lunch special is comfortably 2 meals for me. Have I eaten it in one sitting? Yes. Should I? Probably not. It’s BIG big. The to-go box you get it in is packed full. I go for the beef in garlic sauce(the beef is always tender) or the orange chicken — which is listed in the hot section, but it’s pretty mild. There’s so much rice, and it’s relatively plain as far as chinese fried rice goes(not a lot of fillers) which is how I like it. The egg rolls are always pretty good(get the vegetable ones if you don’t like those little shrimp), and the can of pop is just icing on a deal that’s already a good one. If you’re not getting the lunch special, The sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoon, and potstickers are great. Specifically, The sauce for the pot stickers is a little different from what I’ve had elsewhere. Sometimes I’ll get the potstickers just so I can have the sauce, which in retrospect is kind of weird, but here we are. If you’re feeding a lot of people or you just want more leftovers, get a large entrée and then ask for extra meat. It’s like $ 2.50 — $ 3.00 extra, and they really load you up. A couple reviews mention the storefront being minimal and not great looking. They’re right. There’s a table in there, but you’re not eating at it. I don’t mind since I go there to pick up food and leave. It could use new paint in the waiting area, but whatever. The food’s good, it’s relatively cheap for how much you get, and they’re quick.

Absolute favorite take-out place. Portions are very generous, prices are more than reasonable, and the food is top notch! Love, Love, Love!!!

Two stars for the food which is basically just edible. But the inside needs some serious cleaning very dirty on the floors. I really wonder what the kitchen is like.

Best all around Chinese food in Algonquin. We tried every place within a close drive and yin and yangs wins. The egg rolls are great and all the staples are accounted for. Pickup is always fast delivery can take some time depending on the day and time.

Hands down the best value for Chinese food! Lunch special is $ 5.65 — $ 6 even with tax. You get literally over a pound of food, egg roll, pop and fortune cookie. And the food is great quality. Can’t ask for much more than VALUE + QUALITY! Highly recommend!!! ***

This is the best Chinese carry out I’ve ever been to. They deliver too! Fast, freaky fast. I’ve ordered just about everything on the menu and it’s always been good. Their portion size is huge for the price. You can get a small order and serve 3 people. Egg rolls are awesome as well as the fried shrimp. Any of their Yin’s specials are to die for. Pork, beef, chicken and shrimp for a great variety. If you call for delivery, they say 45min to an hour, but the courteous delivery guy will pull in your driveway in less than 30mins. And I live in Crystal Lake!

I drive by this place frequently on the way home and have wanted to try it for some time. I had read the Unilocal reviews and was looking forward to trying it out. I was in for quite a disapointment. I ordered two egg rolls and the orange chicken. The egg rolls were were some kind of meat paste. Not sure what the meat consisted of and I’m pretty sure I don’t want to know. The sauce for the orange chicken was quite tastey though the chicken was tough and bland, as if it had spent a long time in the back of a freezer. The only area I agree with other is the portion size, it was quite large.

My search for local«Authentic» Chinese food has ended. After years of searching and trying almost all the nearby Chinese places to me i have finally found one that i can call my «go to spot». By far the best most authentic Fried Rice in the area. No Carrots, No Peas, no damn fillers, nice dark brown and flavorful. The entrees are HOLY @#$% humongous. We ordered 2 entrees(Mongolian beef and general tso’s chicken) for 2 adults and 2 kids and we ate dinner. We had another FULL dinner the next day, and leftovers the 3rd day. Usually when you eat in at Chinese restaurants you get this much food but take out is much less. At Yin & Yang’s you get what you would inside, to go. Great Value. The entrees were good, not the best I’ve had(in Chicago & Chinatown) but locally where i can pickup it was the best to date. No more Fried Rice fillers for MEEEEeeeeeeeee,

Here is the crazy thing??? This place has no eating area and depends solely on takeout/delivery business. So, why don’t they have website to promote their menu? Well, good thing that didn’t deter us from trying this place out. They honestly have the best Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon and Pot Stickers around. The kids devoured the Broccoli and Beef and the Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Wonton Soup was bland and needed seasoning. The two best dishes so far have been the Shrimp Lobster Sauce and the Singapore Noodle. The monster size of the portions, the exquisite taste and value will keep us coming back time and time again. As with any Chinese place, if you are sensitive to MSG, let them know. This is definitely a local gem and if you are lucky enough to be close… this is worth a try.

The egg rolls are in the top three of any I’ve ever had, and the potstickers got the ratio of meat to dumpling just right. The hot and sour soup was nice and hearty, but could have been both more hot and sour. Portion size is really good, and reasonably priced. Given the fact that these people come all the way out to Algonquin from Chinatown every day, they deserve your patronage.

Looking for a ton of Chinese food and takeout(well you better want it to take out cause that’s your only option!). Food has always been plentiful and tasty from this place. I can’t say it’s the freshest but I usually order the Americanized Chinese food from this place so quality ingredients are not really necessary. The paintings on the wall are a reason enough to come into this establishment. It’s of Yin and Yang and their America journey!
