Alhambra Golf Course & Driving Range

I love this place. Not too far away and very affordable. $ 10.00 flat for 100 balls? That includes the clubs too! It also includes your choice of spot (if available). It’s a very nice course and well kept and maintained. The staff are super friendly, and helpful. We come here often to slug some golf balls. It’s fun to come with a group of friends or if you’re more of a quite and private person, it’s neat to come alone too! The place itself is pretty quite. The people who go, including teens and young adults have been behaved and aren’t loud at all really. So you can concentrate on your swings most of the times. You’ll love it here!

This is a pretty nice muni… greens are large and very well kept… the layout is challenging … Plenty of bunker and water hazard… you may even see a few turtles wandering around… a few of the par 4’s are drivable… dropped a 280 yard drive into the 4^th green a couple of weeks ago… for $ 50 in a Sunday afternoon, I would say you should be pretty confident with your game to take on this course.

Let me start out by saying that I’ve never been golfing before. I went there a total novice and talked with Bert, who was working the driving range at that point. I explained my situation to him and he took about 30 minutes of his time to get me started and worked with me on the basics. He took the fear of the unknown and of looking bad away and left me with the conficence that helped me learn a lot more about golfing.
At the same time a kid’s golfing program was going on and I listened to how the golf instructor was talking to the kids… let me tell you that I was impressed with the commmunication there as well.
I haven’t been on the course, yet, but the personnel who work there and the driving range were well worth my drive from downtown LA! Awesome place to learn.

I like how this place has both the driving range and a gold course. Price is extremely fair as well.
The golf course is $ 15 per person.
The grass is well kept and there may be a lot of people. Some very strange as well.
There are a few lakes and wild animals during your way.
The courses are very close to each other so just be cautious of potential incoming balls. I believe there about 10 courses to the entire place. The driving range is open past sunset.

Great place to spend a quick 30 – 60 min if you like to drive. The clubs are not the best, but I am not a pro golfer so they do just fine for me. The putting area is also pretty nice as well. Staff is nice but sometimes they are in and out of their office so you might have to wait about 5 min before you are helped

Outdated golf driving range with high school kids running a mock with alcohol and vape everywhere. This range offers worn out clubs to rent and kids flock here to have fun. They are extremely loud and annoying. If you have zero knowledge or experience with golf but want to have fun hitting balls, this is a place you’ll fit in. I’ve never been to a driving range where 90% were kids. The mats are in their worst condition. This is not the place for experienced golfers. Hard to concentrate with all these teenagers constantly laughing and yelling at each other. Not to mention how they keep hitting the dividers because they don’t know how to swing! Completely shocked that this range would try to make profit from turning this place into a playground. Zero stars!!!

Overall too cramped and poorly designed layout make for a horrible round of golf.
Pros — cheap and overall decently kept grounds. Nice mixture of ponds to make it scenic and challenging.
Cons — Par 4s are way too short –some were below 300 yards. Holes were too close to each other and I’ve had few instances of errantly hit balls landing too close to me. Pace of the game was awful. Way too many hills.

For a beginner, this is a pretty fair golf course. It is pretty straightforward if you keep the ball in play. If there is a course for me to first break 100 on, this will be it… since it’s short enough for me to use every club in my bag (since I don’t hit the ball terribly long anyway). It’s also a gradual confidence builder for me to eventually move to tees further back (since I still tee from the red now given my ability level).

Staffs are great here，nice and quite place.
but it’s too short for me, I didn’t even use my driver. I had 3 times of «1 on» at Par 4s with 3 wood… I am a 90s player, but I got 86 in this course for the very 1^st time.

Super affordable and a fun way to kill time. The workers here are really friendly and helpful in assisting you if it’s your first time coming here.
The range goes from 55ft to 275ft. The facility is well kept and smoker friendly! 3 stories to choose from. Top, middle, and ground level. There’s also a mini gift area in the back side.
Plenty of parking spots available.

Coming here during summer nights when the hours are extended until midnight is the best. I have been coming here since I was a little kid and continue to do so with my family and friends. There are three levels at the driving range but I like the top level the most. You are able to see your shots better and it is a better view of the park in general. The workers are always kind and are happy to help you if you have any questions. Bring your drivers and have some fun!
Beware of bugs and mosquitos on the top level. You are right underneath the bright lights which attracts some humungous insects.
If only they had automatic tees and the ball will reload itself. Other than that, I can’t complain.

Finally played here after being on my to-​do list. Great starter office. Packed with supplies. Staff is superb. Very cordial and helpful.
Locale is easy going. Foremost– its 5400 yds from the blue tees. I got my PR here without trying. But, not sure if it counts.
Tee boxes– avg
Fairways– avg. brown spots.
Bunkers– below avg. terrible. Its a centimeter of brown dirt then hard, packed dirt.
Greens– above avg. nice actually. tricky too.
Its alright. Esp if you bring newer folks who are learning. But doesnt quite relieve the itch. I have to hit a real 6200 course tomorrow.

I come here casually all the time just to whack some balls on their driving range. Their golfing range isn’t the best looking, but it definitely does its job. 3 levels with about 15 spots per level; you can purchase either 30 balls for $ 3, 60 balls for $ 6 or 100 balls for $ 10. They’ll provide you with golf clubs if you don’t have any, but all the times I’ve been there they never had drivers to use. You can also get a tee from the shop by providing $ 1 collateral (they’ll give the $ 1 back when you return the tee).
The golf course is also very solid but seeing as how I’m still quite the beginner, I’m not sure what a «good» or «luxury» golf course looks like. If you want to do a casual 9 hole or 18 hole this golf course will definitely suffice. The pricing differs depending on the hours you go, but are quite affordable across the board.

I’m giving this course 5 stars not because it’s the most amazing or beautiful course in the world, but because it doesn’t try to be more than what it is and they’re really good at it.
Ok so what is this course?
— Short 18 hole regulation course at about 5,300 yards from the blue tees with a Par of 70
— Nice mix of interesting par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s.
— Well maintained greens and fairways for a local muni course.
— Fairly priced at $ 50 with cart at primetime weekend
— Pace of play was at 4:10 after slowing down on the back 9
— Triple decker driving range, and short game area that includes a sand bunker.
— Service was great all around.

Home sweet home… finally back out here golfing. Been awhile Almansor driving range mats are still ghetto as hell. Some are almost bald but cant complaints since there are a chipping and bunker as well as a large putting green that’s completely cost free to use. 100 balls for $ 10 and 65 for $ 6 and 30ish balls for $ 3. Use the right ball machine is spit out more then the left =P.

Although my friends and I are total noobs at golf, we decided to come since this was the only place nearby that opened till midnight. The manager, I assume was extremely friendly and he knew that we weren’t pro golfers.
Now, I usually don’t give out 5 stars to places that have people who smoke like they’re from the 1980s or something but this place is an exception.
The prices are fairly cheap in my opinion. 10 dollars for 100 golf balls. We got 200 since we were a group of 7 and that was more than enough. Plus, you don’t need to pay to use the golf sticks (excuse my poor wording for that, I suck).
Now moving on, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FANTASTIC!!! He was probably the most friendliest person I’ve ever met. I made the mistake of not putting the basket underneath the golf ball machine (like the absent minded person I am) and I stood there not knowing what to do since my friends were upstairs in the driving range and I didn’t bring my phone with me. There was actually a group of people near me but they didn’t help me out. The manager helped me out and told me it was okay, he didn’t once frown. He did everything with a smile even though it was late at night.
I will most definitely return. :)

This little gem of a golf course is very well maintained and have nice fast greens. Course is very short but not as easy as it looks. Greens are very tricky. I love playing here with my teenage kids. They charge a dollar for junior golfers!!! Thats unheard of in america!!! One dollar for 18 holes!

This is my first time golfing in 20 years and seemed to have forgotten everything! I’m glad the driving range is close to home so I can start learning my swing again; not that I was ever very good at it. As for the range, it has 3 levels, with the top dedicated to irons, but no drivers. A nice putting green is located adjacent to the range and offers a free area to improve your technique. Of the local ranges, this a little better than Monterey Park and on par with Arcadia.

On this day, the greens were just punched, resulting in very slow greens that don’t roll true. At least the greens were receptive to approach shots. Go pin hunting, because you won’t get much roll on the shots.
Water only comes into play on a few holes. Another curious detail about this course is that it’s got 5 par 3s. Many of the par 4s are pretty short — driver and lob wedge. Par 5s are reachable in 2 — driver and mid iron.
Staff at the pro shop and starter are friendly and helpful. Our cart had the flashing battery sign, and they quickly changed our cart out at the turn.
Course was not crowded at all today. Started at 11:45 and finished at around 3:30pm. That’s a pretty decent pace for a Sunday afternoon. Maybe all the other golfers in the area are monitoring their fantasy Football stats.

Newly remodeled tri-​level driving range. Each stall had a tailored distance markers. There’s also practice greens and bunker. They have complimentary golf clubs for you to use if you don’t have one or forgot yours at home. What I thought was interesting was that they have mirrors for you to use to perfect your form in one section of the place.

I usually come here with my friend after work to practice our swing couple of times a week. We haven’t been back ever since the one incident that had took place. We usually get $ 10 worth of balls and we would take turn swinging away. One time we had an emergency and was not able to stay to finish using up all the balls. We decided to leave with the balls and come right back, to pick up where we had left off. As we were putting things in the car, one of the staff came toward us and said «you can’t take those balls!» Um. we’re coming right back we told him and plus we come here a lot. His tone of voice sounded like he was accusing us of stealing. Really?! What are we going to do with these balls?
