The bar from Terminator 2. That’s the best I can say.

Great DIVE bar. Do not go expecting anything more than an older crowd, amazing music, limited drink options and blue collar locals. Connie, the bartender, is welcoming and awesome. It’s dingy, crappy and cheap. DIVEHEAVEN!

This place has no tap beer or good liquor, is the size of a shoebox & smells like a TJ club restroom throughout the place. They let people drink until they’re falling out of their seats, stealing your change & tips off the bar or trying to start a fight with you. they haven’t remodeled for half a century or dusted for that matter, the beer fridge smells like decomposing rodents & mold when it’s slid open. The restrooms are filthy because they are only cleaned once a day, so hold your nose… LoL I’ve been coming here for a long time & it has gone down hill like a landslide since the new owners got ahold of it. Now they have more cameras than Fort Knox! If the bartender doesn’t charge you in 10 seconds, the owner will call them & ask why? but when your wallet gets stolen they tell you they didn’t see anything… LoL They used to have a bad ass DJ «DJ Nubber ONE» on Thursday’s & Saturday’s but he quit because they couldn’t afford to pay him enough. Do yourself a favor and stay out of this crap hole…

So shocked how this place had the worst atmosphere. Ive been coming here for almost 45 years && havent been in a year but tonight i returned to not only find it dead and the workers were sooooo rude from what i remember i went to get a drink and the bartender literally had her eyebrow up the whole time! Like forreal!?? And some other guy who worked there literally look like he was tryna check people! Im really lost for words this place used to have suuuch a great atmosphere. I definitely wont be coming back.

My neighborhood spot. Drink prices are the best around! Be aware it’s cash only, like all the great dives. No food, but they let you bring in your own. Not for everyone, but perfect for me!

Very small local dive bar with jukebox. No food but you can bring in your own. I recommend grabbing a sandwich next door at Bellys — a small sandwich stand famous for the«Belly Buster». Their tasty sandwiches pair nicely with a couple of cold beers. Unfortunately, no tap beer and no bottled craft beers. Definitely a locals hangout. Most customers seem to know each other.

Shitty bar, but cheap to get drunk. Bunch of drunk whores who claim to have prestigious careers, but are their 24⁄7. Bathrooms are cleaned on a monthly basis, so if u must go, go outside. Other than that cool place with a cool jukebox.

I la-la-la-LOVE Bellys! I go to school down the street, and sometimes between classes a couple friends and I like to stop in and grab a drink(or 2, or 3) it’s of course a little dive bar, but CHEAP! Shots are a few dollars, beers are either 3.75, or 4.75. You could easily walk out with a good buzz, or even drunk for $ 20. The Asian lady who bar tends is amazing! She pours the stiffest drinks! The only bad news is that it’s a cash only bar. But there’s an ATM next store in the liquor mart.

I was invited by a few buddies. They had pretty sick karaōke and everyone was dope, no snappers.

*SINGING the lyrics to the Cheers theme song* Making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn’t you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows Your name. You wanna go where people know, people are all the same, You wanna go where everybody knows your name. _____________________________________________________________ Haven’t gone to many bars, but this bar is amazing! I would consider this bar as a hole in a wall. In the front, it looks shady but inside it’s totally a different story. I told the bartender(Vanessa) that Unilocal led me here from Rosemead. She just looked at me and asked me why did you come all the way from there to this bar. Then she started naming different bars that are closer to me… haha weiiiird, but awesome! At first, I felt out of place and there was barely anybody here until 1030 pm. I had a XX and started to pack up because I felt out of place. The bartender saw me leaving and told me… you are not leaving! Go sit with the regulars and hands me another XX! What a swell bartender! Bartender was on to something so I decided to stay for a little while. Ended up talking to this one regular who was very welcoming. He began showing me pictures of his getaway place that he usually goes on when he needs a weekend getaway. This guy drives up to Merced and sleeps in his van when travels there. Literally talked to me for about 30 minutes about his trips! Around 11, another pair of regulars showed up and end up talking to them for awhile. Man these regulars are down to earth and fun to talk to. As I was parting and said my goodbyes, they told me that it would be nice if you can come back and hangout with us. You are pretty coool. Tips to have a fun time… – establishment is cash only(Drinks are cheap here) – on the left side of the bar when you enter from the back is where all the locals sit and chat with others. – if you like to sing, karaōke night is on Sundays – they have a jukebox!

So grimey. I love it. What’s not to like. 2mai tais had me floored. The people make you feel like your In a place nobody knows you. Make you feel some kinda way. Like its raining outside and you took cover in this crazy bar. Make you go from coming for one drink to having 5. And I have no reason why.

Me: «So you got any beer on Tap?» Bartender: «Nope, we got bottles…» Me: «Whatcha got in bottles?» Bartender: «We have Bud, Bud light, Miller, Miller lite, Coors, Coors Light, Michelob, Michelob Ultra…» Every time I think of this conversation I have a good chuckle. Truly a locals only joint, a dive bar for those in the neighborhood that like to get a drink or four after work. Every person that walked through those doors, the bartender knew their name and their drink. Something to be said for those that know what they like.

This is sweet little dive bar that has alot of old timers and a fun place to watch the races or a good football game. It’s not exactly a sports bar, but it’s a simple good time that has a stiff pour. There’s a cool sandwich place next door, and the bartenders are always super friendly and bring food to share. Feels very homey. Great jukebox, and Karaōke on Sundays!

This place is so great! I am definitely making this place my version of «cheers,» but in Alhambra. First of all, it’s very cozy so you do not have to wait to get your drinks. Also, you can just relax there and it almost feels like you are hanging out at your friend’s house. Second, it’s like a time warp when you walk into this place. From the music to the prices, I thought I went back in time, when drinks were affordable, however it is cash only but you do not need to be carrying around a lot of it since it’s so cheap here. Also the drinks get stiffer as you buy more rounds. Last but not least, I am a huge fan of establishments that are in walking distance from my home.(I used to live in BFE and I always had to drive everywhere.) Overall, I think this is a great place to start your night(but for me I would start and end the night here haha).

This place is a nightmare and its fabulous… Call me brave(or determined for a drink!) but with a hobo and an undesirable congregating in the back I parked my little BMW and marched right in that little dive anyway HAHA! Cash only is my only complaint, but the bartender was a real sweet girl and very attentive with a decent pour. Good music too. Its super small… but with only a handful of people it could pass for«cozy». My kind of place though, I’ll be back for sure.

Belly’s West is located in the city of Alhambra right off of Valley Blvd & S. Olive Ave. Known to the locals as ‘the neighborhood dive bar’ here not only can you have a great time with friends but you are more than likely to make new ones as everyone is friendly probably because of the alcohol. LOL The crowd ranges in age from 21 – 60 years old, low income to blue collar, senior citizens to your ordinary Joe’s working bar. Interesting enough mix where«old school meets new school» and all in between. The highlights of this bar consist of the locals whom come out in crowds to witness every Thursday & Sunday after 9pm. Karaōke Night where you can watch live singing from other locals, make song requests, or even get up and participate in the the live action! Drinks are catered to your liking, ranging from $ 2.50-$ 5.00 in the full bar which is nice and realitvely inexpensive. Bartenders are knowledgeable in their drinks as well are down to earth and make the whole place worth while to visit. Please as mentioned in other reviews this is a «CASHONLY» bar why I’m unsure but it is so be sure to bring enough or be prepaired or impaired to run across the street to the local ATM. The music boasts all genres and eras from the newly installed internet jukebox. For example Black sabbath, The doors, Ever Clear, Bush, Jodeci, etc. The music runs on credits of $ 1.00 for 2-Credits or $ 5.00 for 16-Credits. Insider tip: Most songs in the juke box say 2-credits but you can always find the same song in the same album if you search that album all the way to the end for only 1-credit. Post script, Thanks and I hope you enjoy this place as much as I have and don’t forget to share your reviews!
