Definitely a haunted location, we had heard the stories of missing people, that it’s known as the Bermuda Triangle of Southern California and watched the Documentaries to «The Devils Gate Dam» or «The Portal To Hell» so what better way to check its reputation but to go at 12am on Halloween Night. My cousin and I went ready with our go pro and knifes just in case a bear or demon came at us lol Overall you have to walk a certain distance and make sure to go to the left tunnel first if you’re looking for the legendary«Devils Head» or the«Devils Gate», then you’ve got to walk down the mountain side, if you follow the trail you’ll be fine. Don’t be surprised if you go at night and you arrive to a bunch of satanic people doing their rituals there, we found burned bibles and weird graffiti. Overall it’s been rumored that a little girl appears inside the gate crying, unfortunately for us when we went our flashlights kinda gave out and we heard noises in the bushes as if something was lurking so we had to return a bit earlier then we wanted(3am) oh yeah and it’s also a hiking place over the top of the Dam. –Follow for upcoming Haunted Locations. –Hookah Lounge Reviews across So Cal. The Devil’s Gate Dam was constructed in 1920 and was the first dam built for Los Angeles County’s flood control and water conservation system. The name comes from a unique rock formation below the dam that resembled the profile of a horned devil which is no longer visible because it was covered up. It is just east of the Flint Wash Bridge which was built in 2007. As of June 25, 2013 there isn’t very much water coming down the Arroyo Seco, so there is no water in the holding tanks. I just read an article with the title: Is Devil’s Gate Dam in Pasadena a portal to Hell? Now that is a little spooky and creepy. Note to self: Don’t watch«True Blood» before hiking around the portal to Hell.
