You can find anything and everything from Myanmar. The owner is very nice and helpful.

Stopped by here to buy some Burmese snacks! For some reason I expected there to be more Burmese snacks but it’s only for cooking and other stuff. I wish they had more snacks from Burma

At first I enjoyed going to this store to buy little snacks and stuff. its a good store at first don’t get me wrong. Since I am Burmese too I enjoy going there to find some Burmese traditional food. At first its okay but after about two or three visit the service is terrible. I mean not the workers but the owner herself. Pretty rude to be the owner of the store. If you want to get customers stop the attitude lady.

Small Burmese market — a cuisine not that abundant in Socal :(the owner is super helpful! She will explain everything in there with a smile if you ask her! My dad and I saw random things in there too like spices and herbs we never heard of. My dad works in the food wholesale business and I am an informed eater so we know our spices! Great place to go if you need some Burmese ingredients

I come here to buy Lottery, but if you need anything from Burma, they will most likely have it here. The lady who runs the place is very nice.

It’s heartbreaking to watch a great business suffer. Everything at Kyaw(which I think is Bruce Lee’s life motto) is priced almost at cost and as true to South Asia as it can possibly get. The owners there are your essential Long Beach, Anaheim St. types – ultra helpful, peddling really good ingredients and food as cheaply as they can manage. Also, they have an impressive selection of South Asian MREs(meal ready to eat) for just 1.99. Instead of spending the hour making my lunch the night before or going out to buy 7 dollars worth of tacos or dropping 13 at a food truck, I bring a small box of microwaveable paneer and a Tupperware of Basmati rice – all bought from Kyaw.

Vast selection of Burmese essentials. Owner is very kind and helpful. One of few stores catering to Burmese food and ingredients. Definitely a store to check out if you’re a lover of Burmese cuisine. :)

Came to this store for some cheap spices, was in for a surprise since I thought this was still Veer’s Dollar Store. According to new shop owner, Thin Thin, Veer’s has moved to somewhere in Rosemead. Since this store is still new(open for about a month), I was still able to purchase the spices I need as some inventory of Veer’s was been left over. These love these ethnic stores, you get more spices at cheaper cost. Also you would be hard pressed to find some of these spices at Vons or Ralphs. =) The store will still carry some items familiar from Veer’s and will continue selling Indian food like samosas. Since the nice owner is Burmese, ethnic food items will remain South East Asian. Burmese cuisine is influenced by many cultures so you will definitely find some exciting items here. I saw a dozens of fish and shrimp sauces, a pre-packaged tea leaf salad, and a large shrink wrapped package of betel nuts. Eww I wouldn’t chew betel nuts as they are a known carcinogen, but it caught my eye since it’s an uncommon find. Looking forward to see what else this store has to offer once it’s fully settled in!
