My bf said the Hanan Chicken beats all the café around the area. I like my hot pot too! They don’t have many random stuff in the soup but everything was fresh! For the broccoli we ordered, we can choose how to cook it. So I told them have it washed in hot water, and it came out exactly how I wanted; wasn’t too saulty or too oily. Server was very friendly. Will definitely come back!

Was feeling sick and wanted to try their chicken soup. It was prepared with chicken, noddles, and Chinese broccoli. It was served with a side of lemon and ginger. It was heated just right. The taste was good and well seasoned. The ambience of the restaurant was modern and clean. Love that the menu had pictures to get an idea of what i may want to eat.(for future reference). I would recommend the dish if you sick or just something warm.

I like the delivery team. Once when I got sick, I relied on food delivery. Very quick and food as described.

Had shrimp w. scrambled egg. Did not order extra salty but was so salty it turns bitter, burns my throat. Even though I had rice with it, had to wash it down with milk tea. This is totally unacceptable.

Free parking next to the building and there is also street parking. Yummy! Definietly coming back here to try their other dishes. I ordered the Filet Mignon with tomato rice. That dish was delicious. but they gave me a really small portion of filet mignon… I was still hungry even after I finished my whole entire dish. My boyfriend ordered the hot pot which was eh… very traditional I suppose? Not really my thing. He did not enjoy it as much as he thought he would. Their menu is overhwhelming probably about 60 or more dishes on the menu… wow it can be a lot… Hopefully they can narrow down their menu soon, just looking at it gives me a headache. I just ordered by looking at the pictures. Very friendly servers. They do take credit card. There is one restroom for both female and male. The restroom is not marked. Its is pretty much camouflage with the red paint on the wall and the restroom door.

My boyfriend and I have never left this place unhappy. Whenever we feel like getting Chinese food from a restaurant that actually has friendly and nice employees, we come here. Love the honey and garlic chicken wings and the filet mignon! Cha shu and egg rice is also really good. Prices are pretty reasonable compared to similar places and they have a pretty good selection of menu options and drinks. They have a side lot that always has spots to park and the service is pretty fast. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice, quick meal or some boba.

Square Dot is actually not as bad i thought it would be. There is so much you can choose from. Different style of food from entrées to hotpot. Majority of the food here is cheap depending on the things you order of course. The quality of the meat here is obviously not as great for what you pay for but I would come here for quick meal. Since there is a lot to choose from. 3 stars because the quality isn’t as great but really good on their service. Really good parking.

I like to come here for lunch because of their lunch specials. It comes with chinese brocoli or soup of the day. I usually just get the brocoli because for an extra 1.50 you can get their thai tea, taiwanese milk tea, green or black tea! It doesn’t take long to get your food even if they are busy!

I ordered their catering for a birthday party last month. Their price is fair and food tastes ok too. I gave them my budget and dishes that I want, then, they helped me to arrange the portion. It’s super helpful when you still have a lot of other things to prepare. +: They also do delivery! This is a PLUS!

I work on the same street so I like to go over once in a while to get takeout if I’m hungry since it’s so close. The food is usually pretty good and the pricing is decent. The service is friendly and you should probably know that it’s easier to tell them the number associated with the name of your order rather than the name of the order because there are so many options on the menu. Additionally there is a $ 15 minimum for cards but there is an atm machine inside the liquor store on the same street and a chase bank across the street. The nice thing about this place is that there is free Wi-Fi and parking in the back. They also do pickups, deliveries, and catering.

Filet mignon with red rice! The flavor is delicious. Def hits the spot. The«Thai» crispy chicken rice was pretty good, too. Their sauce which tastes like a fusion fish sauce you get at viet restaurants is on point! Def will be coming back when I’m craving it!

My place to get filet mignon beef cubes with red rice. It’s the best here and the portion is big. This place is a little gem, and there are so many good things on their menu. Gives this place a try you won’t be disappointed. Parking is on the side plenty for a restaurant this side. Oh yeah Hainan chicken is another thing I like here its pretty fresh and the rice is made the right way with chicken stock.

This place was a very pleasant surprise for me. I came only because i was going to get a haircut across the street and the line was way too long. Im glad i ignored other reviews and still went. I got the beef steak with onion and red tomato rice. The beef was realy tender and the flavor was on pt! Server is a nice guy. Place is clean. I will def come back for this dish again.

The Square Dot is quite a pleasant surprise. I never stopped by the restaurant, but heard great things about it from a regular customer. After signing up with Eat24 and GrubHub, I’ve been ordering food from this restaurant at least twice a week. My review is only for the delivery service and the quality of the dishes and beverages. The restaurant owner usually makes the delivery. He’s very polite. Depending on how busy his restaurant gets, the delivery time varies. The fastest delivery was 30 minutes after placing my order. The slowest was one hour and a half. I highly recommend: Filet Mignon with Tomato Rice Hainanese Chicken Rice Cornish Hen with Tomato Rice Meat Lovers Spaghetti Iced Milk Drink with Honey Boba Taiwanese Milk Tea Thai Milk Tea/Thai Iced Tea(The Square Dot is the only Chinese restaurant I know of that makes really good Thai iced tea. Most Chinese restaurants and tea houses make very bitter Thai iced tea. This place surprisingly offers authentic tasting Thai iced tea.)

Their wifi is pretty fast and the password is clearly stated on their menu. They have two available wall plugs, one on each opposite wall in the restaurant. Since I was the only customer in the restaurant the whole night, I had no problem gaining access to their electricity and getting some work done while sipping on milk tea. Square Dot had a fair selection of drinks and Chinese food, including hot pots. I had a beef tendon soup. Spicy stewed beef tendon is a comfort food from my childhood growing up in Southern California. The beef tendon at Square Dot was adequate. Not spectacular, but it did the job. The tender chunks of beef tendon have been stewed well enough that it soaks up the flavor of the oily spiced broth. There were a few leaves of bok choy greens, cilantro, and green onion to add contrasting color to this dish. Unfortunately, the broth was not drinkable. It was a greasy mess. If I ever come again, I may get the hot pot instead. They honor the check in offer on Unilocal for a free drink with purchase of a dinner entrée. If you factor in the free drink, dinner here is a terrific bargain.

The Square Dot is located on the Southwest Corner of Atlantic and Valley. It is not a fancy restaurant. In fact, it is just a regular Chinese diner, so please don’t come here expecting first class service, presentation, and food. This is a restaurant to come to… if the following applies to you: — You don’t care about presentation — You don’t care for service — You want to stretch your dollar by getting huge portions Honestly, there wasn’t any dish that was memorable from this restaurant, but the only thing I remember was that the portions were huge, and it was relatively cheap. * Unilocal Perks * Free Thail Tea or Milk Tea with Check-In *

I enjoyed the Hainan Chicken with Rice and Chive Pork Dumplings. Food is decent in taste with good portions for a light meal. I ordered a Horlick drink to try then I got Ovaltine instead. Customer service here is a little slow. Be sure to verify your order or you may get something else. Parking here is a little tight when its a small restaurant.

Free tea with check-in! I ordered what everyone suggested– filet mignon with tomato rice. The dish was tasty but too much rice and not enough meat… so the serving size was all wrong! My BF ordered the hainan chicken and thought it was good. Other people and ramen and spaghetti and thought it was okay. Usually there’s nobody in here so there’s no wait time. Overall it was an okay meal. Not bad and it was affordable.

The pretty pictures make it look so tasty, but sadly, just a cleaner and blander version of café style food. We had the BBQ Pork and rice and Pork Ramen. Not bad, but not worth coming back here for. Service was fine. They forgot our red rice, but brought it out pretty quickly Many other options in this area that are cheaper for the same level of food.

Lunch specials come with either boiled vegetables or the daily soup. Both options are pretty good and they have a pretty wide selection of entrees available for lunch. We had the pork rib with honey and garlic sauce($ 6.99) and the yang chow fried rice($ 5.99). The pork ribs were pretty good albeit on the salty side. The yang chow fried rice was really oily. I saw an order of the shanghai pan fried noodles that looked pretty good that I’ll have to try next time. Seems like a pretty popular place for lunch since it was pretty crowded when we came. Overall, the food is not bad but a little too greasy for me to eat regularly.
