Worst place I have EVER been. I guess this guy Tony is the boss because after the hack job he did on my hair he said «let it grow out two months and come back and I’ll fix it for free»

I was in the market for a new barber since my old one quit and checked out this place based on the Unilocal reviews.
Pros: Reasonably priced, clean, comfy waiting chairs, takes appointments, great customer service.
Cons: My haircut felt like a rush job, no straight razor neck shaves, no vacuum or brush off (I left covered in hair and had to go home to rinse off before finishing my errands)

My experience with Tony, the owner of the salon, began with him answering the salon’s phone with «hello.» I had no idea whom I had reached and had to ask. I spoke with him asking if I needed an appointment which he never really answered definitively. Finally, I was able to make an appointment with him. When I arrived at the shop, Tony was perceptibly nervous, dressed unprofessionally, and had one client he had not begun to work on – five minutes before my appointment. (At which point he seemed to scold me for being too early.) He finished that person quickly; a bit too quickly for my comfort. I sat down and explained what I wanted him to do. He was still perceptibly nervous. (Not a good thing in a stylist, especially one who has been working for over thirty years.) He worked very quickly, and not too carefully. He explained away the problems he was encountering instead of trying to remedy them. He kept telling me there was, not much else he could do, and kept reminding me that his shop was less expensive than others. (I am not impressed by people who tell me they work for cheap.)
The haircut I received was nothing great. He finished in fifteen minutes and even left a piece on one side that was not cut to the proper length. He did not catch this mistake or check his work. He did not texturize or make any adjustments to make my hair have some body. It just lies flat. He used no product on my hair and did not recommend anything specific to use to help smooth out the hair on the sides. I could have done better than this haircut myself. In fact, I did fix the aberrant piece of hair myself rather than return and chance something else being amiss.
This shop may be fine for the older men who have a basic hairstyle that is hard to do incorrectly. It may be fine for the older women who come once a week to have a wash and set, but I would not recommend it for anyone else. The statements in this advert. are misleading. My advice is to pay for the higher end salon and get what you paid for. It does not pay to go cheap.

I’ve been coming here for years and I believe Don the barber is the best barber around. Tony the owner is always doing something to improve the shop and make it better and better. This is a great place!

I called the salon 10 minutes before closing time & I was able to get a haircut. Tony did an awesome job!

The barbers and stylists are caring and professional.
My experience at My Look Salon is always positive.

Got my hair done and my beard trimmed here this week, personally by the owner. In my line of work looking professional and organized is key, and I have gotten nothing but good comments the last few days.
