So, we dined here tonight for the first time. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a look of, «great, another family». Instead of «hello, welcome to Ihop. Finally after being ignored for a few minutes a server came to seat us. Everything was fine until our lukewarm food came. I ordered the pancake combo. My pancakes were tipped with blueberries and whipped cream. The topping was fresh out the freezer and plopped on top. My husband’s however, were undercooked. I asked our waitress why our food we waited so long for(the place literally had 3 other families, so they weren’t busy at all) came to us cold. She replied by saying she didn’t know and that she was sorry. We love IHOP but because our service was so bad and the food was cold, we won’t be bringing our family to this location ever again. VERY disappointed.

My husband and I just wanted a simple breakfast for dinner and were beyond disappointed. This is the worst food and service I have ever had. Our food was cold when it came out, which I decided to deal with even though I was disgusted. My husband’s pancakes were so cold that the butter did not even try to melt on top. He asked the waitress if he could get his pancakes and sausage heated up. We thought surely they would just make new pancakes and sausage links, but ten minutes later she came back with the same pancakes and sausage, which were heated in the microwave. We know it was the same due to the salt on the sausage link and the butter in between the pancakes(where my husband had tried to get the butter to melt). The butter was now a liquid in between the two pancakes. Also, if she just put it all in the microwave, why did a 30 second heat up take 10 minutes for my husband to get back? So disappointing! We will never come back and will tell everyone we know not to even dare!

Strawberry crepes with sausage and hash browns for brunch with friends — delicious! The waitress was sweet and friendly.

Worst service ever!!! Came in last Sunday and yes it was busy but come on… You take a name down and go down the list. My boyfriend and I got skipped and I went up to the hostess desk. The hostess was pretty rude about it and said ok you’re next. Well they called three more groups and I stood up and looked right at the hostess desk and yet another couple called! Waited about 30 minutes and walked away! Do yourself a favor and go to Denny’s.

Service is OK but food and less than OK. Bacon is paper thin and pancakes have become very small.

i usually dont get breakfast at 3am… but on a trip back from the casino. i needed food. unfortunately, the guy that served me here. sat me at a table, then got a drink for me. then never came back? The place wasnt busy. only maybe 3 tables. however i waited for the guy for 20 minutes. finally got up and looked around and still didnt see him anywhere. who knows? maybe he never worked there at all? maybe he was the IHop ghost that is seldom ever seen at 3am… i dunno but i got tired of waiting. so i got up and left ;)

Slow service and the place STINKS, they need to remove and burn that carpet. My crepes were good, but boy my table stinks and couldn’t concentrate on the food and the eating experience.

My Wife and myself walked into this Ihop to guest waiting, after seating several parties, a male host told me and another party of five it would be five more minutes before we could be seated as they were short staffed, he took our names and we sat down. After five minutes another party of four walked up to the counter, and a female host grabs four menus and walks the party right to a table! Both me and my wife, as well as the other party of five were in shock, cause that same female host saw us waiting and saw us walk in. Needless to say we were more than upset, but instead of causing a scene, we got up and walked out. We will never go this Ihop location again eventhough it is very convenient for us. That was beyond unprofessional and they have loss customers because of it.

The absolute WORST service ever! I called and made an order for pick up and the lady that answered was very nice. But when I got there it was complete opposite. I literally stood up front for 5 to 10 minutes while numerous waiters and people walked by me and kept looking at me and none of them stopped. I paid for my food that was sitting on the counter up front and I was about to walk out then someone finally came up to me. I will never ever go back to there again.

You can never go wrong with Ihop! I have been going to this one fairly often for awhile now and don’t find anything to complain about! Staff is nice, food is great. Hot chocolate is stellar! I have only had one less than desirable experience over the years with a staff member, but I have not seen her since, so I assume she is no longer employed with this Ihop! Other than that minor mishap, 10’s all around.

I only ate breakfast here, because it was my daughter’s birthday and she chose I HOP(IGROSS). I kept it simple and ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs. Everything tasted like it came out of a box or was frozen when delivered. The eggs were fresh. Coffee was too expensive compared to $ 1.08 at McD. The shelters in Dallas probably serve a better meal. I’ve seen where they get their food from. The food would probably have been better if I had blown a .08. Stay away unless you coming from the club and Whataburger is closed. Just gagged remembering the food…

I love Denny’s and IHOP! Good thing that Denny’s is moving in next to IHOP here in Allen! You cannot beat the $ 2, $ 4, $ 6, meal deals at Denny’s. IHOP, look out the competition is coming!

Before I wrote my review on here, I sent a strongly worded email to IHOP corporate about my bad experience. Almost immediately the General Manager, Jason sent me a response, with an apology and an invite to return with 2 dinners on the house. We took him up on his offer last night and had dinner there. Our server was Lauren, a very sweet young lady, who obviously took pride in her job and employer. Upon telling her of our previous experience she was very apologetic, and went above and beyond to keep us happy! Drinks were refilled in a timely manner, the food was piping hot when it arrived, she always had a smile on her face, thanked us and made sure we were happy. I could not have asked for better, or a better server. She was WONDERFUL! I also appreciated the manager on duty, Matt’s visit to our table to see how we were. We were also informed that our previous server, Domenic, had been let go. Although I don’t wish anyone to be fired over any issue, apparently this was not his first complaint, so I can really not blame management for doing so. I am not one to change my opinion of an establishment quickly after a bad experience but the timely manner this was handled and the superb service and quality of food this time, changed my mind. I will definitely be making the trip to Allen and this IHOP in the near future!

I’d Hop away! This place had fewer than ten tables seated as I searched around thinking maybe the hostesses are busy. No one was manning the lobby, so guess what three of us groups were waiting. We kept trying to catch someone’s attention-ha they kept looking away. We saw this tall guy in a plaid button down who appeared to be a manager who had walked by several times finally comes over. Isn’t it the role of a manager especially in hospitality to do any job in the restaurant? He comes over and is very sarcastic-no real greeting just how many is in your party and showed you to your seats with the sticky menus. We then waited to have our order taken. and waited. This just goes downhill from here so I’ll leave it at that. Go at your own peril!

I would be happy to review this restaurant if I had ever gotten to eat there. Last weekend, I went with a group of about 20 people for brunch. Granted they don’t take reservations; however, the group host had called early in the morning and had spoken with the manager. The manager told her that we should come over and he would have a room ready for us. He ended the conversation by saying«See you when you get here.» Well, we arrived as planned and the group was told that they couldn’t accommodate us. The manager even came out and told us they couldn’t seat us. When the group host recalled the conversation, he pretty much shrugged and said we couldn’t be seated. When she asked him why he told us to come over, he shrugged and didn’t seem to even care. So, since we were turned away, we went down the road and ate at the Cheesecake Factory where we got a large table immediately, had great service and had a wonderful time. Maybe it was good fortune that IHOP didn’t want to serve us as the Cheesecake Factory was much better than IHOP would ever have been. That’s the last time I step foot in this IHOP.

The few previous times that I have been here in the morning was decent, BUTTHISTIME(night) was horrrrrible. And honestly really awkward. Service was crap and the waitress was highly airheaded. I always tip but I dont think I will this time. Smh. She literally couldnt do anything without being told more than once or messing it up every time!

Consistently decent food. I ask for poached eggs(off the menu) and they were always willing to oblige. I got the heck out of Texas and moved back to Canada(which I’m sure is mutually appreciated) but for the time that we lived in Allen, this IHOP was a place where hubby and I could just go and have a cheap meal and some face time to talk.

If you want breakfast food, this is always a great place to go! I love the fall season when they have pumpkin pancakes because they are awesome. This location has a mixed bag of luck for service, if it’s slow you’ll get pretty good service but otherwise you may get a mixed up order or not be checked up on for a while. It can be especially frustrating when you’re just trying to pay!

Yes, it’s IHOP. It’s not haute cuisine, but there are times when not much else will do, or maybe not much else is open. Due to circumstances, my family has found ourselves in this location twice in the last two weeks, and the results were mixed. The first time, the place wasn’t too crowded and we had great service and yummy food. Gingerbread hot cocoa served in big mugs was delicious, and my loaded bacon and potato soup and half pot roast sandwich entrée was quite good. Egg nog pancakes were very good as well, if a little gimmicky. The second time was around 1:30AM on New Year’s Day after a celebration in downtown Dallas. The place was packed with diners, and service was suffering a little because of it. my Colorado omelette was nice, but almost had too much shredded beef compared to the other ingredients. New York cheesecake pancakes were quite good, as were(perhaps surprisingly) a order of fried cheese sticks, featuring fat fingers of good mozzarella fried to a deep golden brown. With the holidays over, the gingerbread hot cocoa was no longer available, but the regular stuff was pretty good. Serviceable food and a clean location make this a fairly good destination for late, late night dining.
