Fun place to stop after an Americans game! We came here around 10pm and I was pleased to not only to get carded but also see there was a good crowd without being overcrowded. We had a big party and our server was on point, they had $ 3 well drinks so that was fun to see and the queso was sipping out of a straw worthy. Long gone are my going out late at night days(It’s pretty eye opening when 10pm is considered late night) but I was pretty entertained by this place/ Bottomline: Any place with bar food, cheap drinks and that ID’s me is A-OK in my book!

What do you do after an Allen Americans game? Go hang out with your buddies and drink. That’s what we did. We were in town for a bit and it was nice to see our friends. Coincidentally another friend who I hadn’t seen in many years showed up at the game so we met up after the game and headed to Kelly’s. Drinks are great. Food is great and dessert is great. We had a great time and if I lived any closer, I’d make this my local watering hole! Unfortunately I’m 850 miles away now so it’ll be a good spot to come back to when I’m on this side of town again!

Kelly’s is an excellent place for brunch! I only come here during brunch hours so this review is based on that time. Every single time is a hit or miss with service though. Either we have excellent service or we don’t. Which is the reason I give 4 stars. One of the times my boyfriend & I went, we drank all our water & I’m not sure how long it took until we got a refill. So I was disappointed at the service that day considering I really like Kelly’s. But I’ve never had to wait for a table which is a plus! Best thing on the menu is the skillet potatoes by far! If it doesn’t come with my order, I make sure to have a side order of it. I normally get the Eggs Benedict dish but I tried the Belgian waffle last time I went & that was delicious as well! I haven’t had anything that was terrible yet. Oh! & the mimosas are $ 2. Which is awesome!

The wait staff and host/hostess are slow moving and have slacked it on more than one occasion e.g. forgetting to sit us, when asked for a booth they gave us table and gave booth to someone else, etc. That being said the craft beer, bartenders and OHhh those brisket nachos make up for the cons and push this to review to 3 stars. Avoid the headache and try to squeeze in at the bar some where.

The food is OK enough, but I get a stomachache after every time I come here — without fail.

Keep coming back here! LOVE their selection of food. Sometimes it isn’t the fastest, but to me, it is worth the wait. My whole family went there for Easter brunch, and it was OUTOFTHISWORLD!!! The options were endless, and $ 3 bottomless mimosas! Can’t beat it! Pluckers used to be our go to place. But Kellys has replaced it. We even bring our 1 year old son there, very kid friendly. Couldn’t be happier!

I’m not sure what has happened to Kelly’s, but it was a major disappointment the last two times we were there, and we won’t be back. The cost of the food went up, and the taste went significantly down. As an example, we ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer. The chicken tasted like rubbery, refrigerated pre-cooked chicken that you buy at the grocery store. It seemed like it was microwaved, rather than being heated in a frying pan. The grilled veggies were cold and had no flavor. The cheese on my burger was barely melted at all, which made sense because the entire meal was pretty cold. I hope they can go back to the quality they once had…

Hired these guys to cater a party with short notice for 30 people… Nothing less than phenomenal. Kelly’s will be my go-to caterer for every event I host, big or small. Sliders, Pork Street Tacos, and Wings were a hit with all my guests.

I’ve been to Kelly’s serveral time and it’s not that the food is bad. It is pretty good. It’s the wait staff and environment that makes me NEVER want to go back here again. On several occasions, I have been here and have been with my boyfriend. I always feel like they make a point of letting us know that we shouldn’t be doing any form of PDA. I don’t think there is anything wrong with kissing in public.(I would NEVER do anything more perverse.) On one occasion, they actually made a point of telling us we weren’t welcome here. Unfortunately, this bar is super convenient to my house and I decided to give them another chance. Well, this time they didn’t harass us about kissing in public. They waited till we left the bar and while we were still JUST kissing in the car, they notified the Allen police that we had been drinking. We hadn’t even left the establishment and an Allen officer was knocking on our car window. We believe that the establishment has a relationship with the police and because of our PDA, notified the cops. Not only did the officer do one sobriety test, but he also lectured us on how kissing is a private thing and should be kept at home. I am grateful that he just advised us to über home, but Kellys is a judgmental restaurant and bar and doesn’t deserve to be in business. I’m sorry, but last time I checked it wasn’t a crime to kiss in a bar and it IS a bar and not church. I highly recommend you avoid this judgmental and hypocritical establishment! Stay away at all costs! Local businesses like this one don’t deserve to be in business.

I really love the burgers at Kelly’s. My favorite is the hickory jalapeño bacon burger. It’s equally as delicious at the Plano location. The buns are just wonderful and bring all of the deliciousness of the burger together. It’s the proverbial cherry on top. The burgers get 5 stars. I’m not wild about how noisy and traffic-y this location is though. The service was good.

Third try at this place. Service sucked. Waitress appeared a bit annoyed. Not friendly. My daughters«sliders» we’re cold and charred. Her fries were hard. My quesadillas were very average. Too pricy for the crap they serve.

We went today because we were looking for a relaxing place to have a drink. We selected to sit outside because it was a beautiful day. The fan/heater or whatever it is under the door is loud. I couldn’t even have a conversation without repeating myself. Took a waitress 15 min to realize we were there. We tried to still enjoy ourselves. They did have some interesting craft beers. We had a few samples. Then we decided to order the brisket chips. AMAZING! Don’t order a mojito! I guess there was a new bartender is what the waitress said. It came out and she asked me to taste it. Ok I can do that. It tasted like NyQuil over ice with a splash of Sprite. GROSS! I told her I would stick with my water since my husband was practically done with his beer. Then someone else brought me a new one??? The waitress came over very annoyed asking why I sent it back and why I didn’t want it and that it wasn’t like the first one and it had all the ingredients. Why does this matter? She then asked if we were ready to go and we said yes. Took her another 20 min to get our check. This place was not busy. She then brought me a shot of who knows what. I didn’t drink it. We were just ready to go at this point. All in all the waitress made me feel uncomfortable and the patio sucks. I recommend going elsewhere.

A great place for friends to get together and have fun but food could be better. I had some chili and hot cocoa. I really liked the cocoa but the chili I’ve had better elsewhere. I like the canned Nalley’s better really. Our waiter was good but wish he had a better grasp of the beers they had. I would try it again for other food. We just had apps and drinks this time. Beware being sat in the back next to the door… i think you can imagine what happened with the cold. I do get points if I dine here so I definitely want to try it again for their food and sit elsewhere.

Drinks — still two thumbs up Food — one thumb up, one thumb down Sat on the patio at the fire pit Saturday and it was PERFECT! The pit puts off a ton of heat, you still get ample sunlight and our service from Collier was the best we’ve had here. I love the Einstok draft beer. I have been unable to find anywhere else serving it. Not Henry’s, not Holy Grail, not Gingerman. It is light and refreshing without being too bitter. Although I won’t take back that the brunch was a bust and their quesadillas suck, I tried the grilled chicken sandwich on the jalapeño cheddar bun and it was delicious. The bun was soft, flavorful and paired perfectly with chicken and honey mustard. Kelly’s, I’m so glad you delivered on this. Keep the jalapeño bread around, I will be ordering it next time.

We only went here for drinks and an appetizer, but it’s a cool place wth a large beer selection on draft. the staff was nice and attentive and the brisket chips, the only food we tried, were good if a little pricy at $ 12. We’d come back for drinks or to watch a game.

I have been to Kelly’s 3 times now I think and all at different times of the day; brunch, lunch and dinner. The food menu has just about anything for even the pickiest of eaters. If you are hungry for salad, soup, sandwiches, Tex-mex, hamburgers this is the place to go. The first time I came I tried the eastside burger and it was one of the best burgers I ever had. It was huge, juicy, the egg was runny and it had amazing flavor. I’ve also had the bacon waffles which are good if you love waffles and today I had the grown up grilled cheese with brisket and sweet potato fries. So amazing! Now. Let’s discuss the drunk menu. Did I say drunk I meant drink. My bad. The drink menu is very diverse. They have a ton of beers on draft, bottled and can. They also have a full bar and fancy girl drinks. So whatever you are in the mood for they have. This is a cool place to hang and watch the game, drink mimosas with your girlfriends, have lunch with your kids or go to before the alleys hockey game. Whatever you are out doing stop here! It will not disappoint.

We are here a lot for several reasons. $ 2.50 wells all the time? Sign me up! Indoor/Outdoor bar? Love it! Very nice servers? Must have! The food is decent. Bar food is good(brisket chips and quesadillas), burgers are good(southwestern is messy but delicious), brunch is ok. Great beer/cider list that is constantly changing and the bartenders are very friendly and let you try all kinds of things. The bad: They allow smoking on the patio and many old men(or maybe just one guy that is there a lot?) take advantage of that to sit and smoke cigars for hours. BOOOOO. It can also get extremely loud on a Saturday night when the place is busy, more like a bar than a restaurant. Mostly, for us, it’s a great spot for a drink and a snack after work or weekend afternoons.

Love, Love this place! Holy Beer list Batman! They have over 40 beers on draft! After you chew your nails down to the nub because you had to contemplate the huge list of beers to choose from. I found my new favorite, it is the Franconia Maibock! When you walk in they have a great little patio that is covered. It is seat yourself For an appetizer I started out with brisket chips. If you want to taste a little piece of heaven, run to Kelly’s and order these. It is a hand cut potato chip topped with shredded brisket and queso. Somehow the crispiness of the chips, the tender meat and creamy queso create a perfect medley of flavors paired together. I then ordered the blackened salmon cobb salad. it was very tender salmon with a great bit of flavor. The greens were crisp and the ranch was a great compliment to the salad. The hubby ordered the chicken fried chicken and he was pleased. ***The only down side is that they allow smoking on the patio. We are not smokers and do not enjoy inhaling second hand smoke while eating *****

Went weekday lunch. Very few people there at beginning of the week during lunch. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich lunch special, with coleslaw. The burger was great! My brother said that they have the freshest buns he’d ever had. The slaw was excellent and has me looking for a recipe clone. Restaurant is very clean and the service was very good!

First off if you saw my picture you would notice the varieties of alcohol they have. Most of it seemed to be liquor but I wouldn’t know cause I don’t drink liquor. The location is across from Dodies near the Allen center. Right when I walked in I saw a bunch of dudes and few ladies. I thought it was a guys night cause it was loud and every dude there was having a blast. I wasn’t in the mood to eat lots of meat but I wanted a burger. A lot of their burgers had extra meat, like sausage and bacon. I wasn’t too sure about eating veggie so I went for the plain-o burger. I added avocado, mushrooms and raspberry mayo. As for the bread I asked for sweet sourdough and cheddar for the cheese. The raspberry mayo was a good dipping sauce for the fries. When I was about to take my first bite I could smell the freshly cooked beef. It’s a distinct scent but the smell of it made me more anxious to bite into the burger. Everything was so good and the raspberry mayo added the extra goodness. Now as food for other tables were being delivered I noticed a huge dish that looked delish. It was like an open face sandwich but couldn’t tell what it was. A lot of folks were seated at the bar. The bar and the seating area are combined, there is no gap between the two. If you’re not a fan of smoking don’t sit near the patio. I thought it was cool how they had the open half kitchen. When you walk to the bathroom you’ll see the open half kitchen. Half kitchen because they show the set up area not the cooking. They also have a room for large parties and the set up is nice.
