We just want to give a shout-out to Savour for getting us off to a great start this New Year’s Eve evening. Walked in with no reservation(early-ish, around 7) but the manager gladly accommodated our party of 4. Food was best we’ve ever had there. Two orders of Mussels in broth with chunks of Jumbo Shrimps and large toast points for dipping were proclaimed fantastic with a bullet. Ditto Lobster Bisque and my Chicken Aliote Flatbread. As good as all that was, the star of the evening was a perfect, in every sense of the word, White Russian. Wife detected a different note in it, I talked to the bartender who was quite willing to share his secret added ingredient. Just fantastic. Rest of the drinks were strong and well made and the wine pour for me was generous. All things considered the price was quite reasonable, service was fast and friendly and, when quality was factored in, Savour deserves a solid 5*.

The reviews appear to be all over the place for Savour Tasting Room. I must say, I was impressed during my visit. I met with a small group for happy hour. Parking proved to be very challenging with Xmas days away. We sat at a table furthest away from the entrance along a back wall(perfect spot for group to talk freely). I ordered a $ 5 margarita and followed bartender’s thumbs up/recommendation for mac and cheese. The mac and cheese topped with pulled pork was divine!!! It supposedly had chorizo inside but I didn’t notice after being blown away by various gourmet cheeses and pulled pork. Prices were not bad especially after using the check-in offer. Once holiday rush has calmed down, I will definitely return to Savour Tasting Room. As another reviewer stated, it is a perfect date/girl’s night spot.

My husband and I have been fans of this place for a while now. On our last visit a few days ago, we were disappointed that they’ve changed the menu and got rid of the«small plates’» we have always ordered in the past. The waiter(whom was very nice and friendly) asked the kitchen if they could prep the pork nachos(our favorite along with the street tacos) and they did. The portion was half the size of the«old» one but same price. We had to ask for chips due to the lack of them on the plate, and the nachos were more of a dip… super soggy we ate it with a fork. The street tacos were yummy, and the bacon wrapped shrimp jalapenos were good but so over priced for 4 of them. Sadly, we probably wont visit as often or at all. Still a place to try out, but not a favorite spot anymore.

I give this place a 2 for the food. The ambiance is ok. It’s not the biggest location and the service was just sub par. I tried the Tue special — the $ 6 Angus cheeseburger that comes with all the fixins. Asked the server what they are and he told me the standard fare: lettuce, tomato, onion. Told him no onion please. Get the burger and there are pickles on it. Don’t like pickles. If he had told me they were on there I would have requested them removed. But the most interesting part is another person in my party got the same thing but was told about bacon and avocado. When she was served I thought she got something different only to find out they were options. What?!? Not somewhere that will be my first choice. Oh and there was a live singer that night that wasn’t too bad.

Went here for a last minute Happy Hour with a group. We were accommodated well with a nice table set up and the bartender/waiter was attentive and fast. They have a limited selection for food during Happy Hour, but it was very good!

This place has a great atmosphere — perfect for a romantic date or a group of girls. The drinks are fantastic! I’ve had several of their speciality cocktails and enjoyed each one — especially the banana split martini! The only downside is the food. It’s decent but overpriced. I’ve gone with several friends and my husband, and each person said the food is «okay» which is disappointing at around $ 20 a plate. However, I’ll return for happy hour drinks.

A hodge podge menu and décor make this one of my most disappointing choices for date night. They are usually very busy on weekends and I had wanted to try this place for a while. I would recommend drinks but no food. We had the white sangria and my husband had a margarita, both of which were decent. We ordered the tempura deep fried asparagus, shredded pork nachos and spicy shrimp plates to share. Of which the shrimp was delicious and the rest was greasy bar food. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. But the food was mediocre. Definitely won’t be back! PS: I see why they offer a 25% discount on food for Unilocal check ins.

I came here with a group of friends and was very underwhelmed. I felt like I ordered badly. The best thing I tried was the dip trio. But then again, it’s hard to go wrong with chips and dip. My friends had ordered drinks before I arrived. I tried a sip of my friend’s berry martini and really did not like it — it had an odd artificial flavor to it, like bad candy. I decided to steer clear of any of the martinis on special because of this and went for an amaretto sour. It was good, but village burger next door makes a better one for literally ½ the price. I ordered the gyro flatbread — it was light on a gyro and heavy on cheese. I found it lacking flavor and a tad greasy. In fact, I thought I could make it better by adding some vegetables so I ordered a house salad. The salad is a very generous portion of woefully overdressed spring greens and not much else. Heavy on the vinegar — I didn’t eat much of it. The atmosphere was nice and the waiter was very enthusiastic. My meal was unsatisfying and came out expensive. I would like to give this place a 2.5, but I really think it could have potential and want it to do better.

My husband and I have been repeat patrons since they opened. First thing we noticed the restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday night at 6:15 which also happened to be Homecoming night. Second, we noticed the menu has changed significantly since the last time we were here in terms of variety and number of menu items offered. We ordered the PEI mussels with cured pancetta under«Share Plates», champagne mojito and a beer. The mussels were a joke. For $ 9 you get 9 tiniest mussels we’ve ever had(EVER), with 3 slices of toasted baguettes. The mussels were so small that I could’ve just swallowed them without chewing. The sauce was great though. Our bill came out to be $ 25. Sadly, we will not be returning.

What a gem! I am so glad we live close enough to frequent Savour. My hubby spotted it last time we were at Watters Creek and chose it for date night w/the little man(our 1.5yr old). We made reservations for 6pm on a Friday night and the weather was so nice we sat on the patio. Our waitress was so kind and did a great job with everything. From explaining the specials, portion sizes, keeping our drinks full, clearing plates, getting milk for our little man, etc. she was on it! The hubby and I split the Dipping Trio($ 12) which was excellent! The guacamole, queso & bean dip were all yummy and the portion sizes were plenty for the two of us. They even re-filled the chips for free. It’s a good thing too, I was about ready to lick the bowls. My hubby chose the Savour Mac & Cheese w/pork($ 7 + $ 3) and I had the Paradise Salad(seasonal: Mandarin oranges, strawberries, cucumbers & coconut flakes). Both were excellent and portion sizes so large we took leftovers home. We had a great experience and received excellent service from our waitress and the other staff we interacted with. We will definitely be back!

Nice place to visit with friends. Waters crossings has a lot of nice places to sit and visit and this is one of them. The staff is friendly and provide great service. The drinks are good and the food is ok for a bar atmosphere.

My wife and I went for happy hour and downed several drinks and ordered several of their small plates. Full credit for serving good sized drinks with a proper amount of alcohol. So many places in Allen serve drinks in small glasses degraded further by being full if ice. Not Savour. Good, honest, cocktails. We had their meatballs(my, what big balls they have!), ahi tuna nachos, and the ahi ceviche. All three were great. We sat at the bar and service was good, we got to chat up some other locals as well as meet one of the owners. We’ll definitely be back. Although the bar is prominent the décor and clientele were a step above a typical bar scene which was what we wanted on this night.

Been here a couple of times, every experience was different, inconsistent, hit or miss. One or two nights we’ve had inattentive and careless waters/waitresses, and food took forever to come out, isn’t even as tasty as some other times. I would rate it a 2 for those nights We do try to order different food items(quite a selection!) some are made well and some aren’t, tonight we had my best experience yet, our waiter was very helpful and friendly, drinks were made well, food was delicious(we ordered mac and cheese with pulled pork, mussels and spicy shrimp), service was quick and we felt very welcomed(first time experiencing that here, hope they keep it up!) Savour does offer valet parking, patio seating, online reservations and great happy hour specials! The Happy hour/groupon deals and close commute to my house are the main reasons we come back maybe once or twice a month when we feel like having small portions of different dishes. If you live far I wouldn’t recommend the trouble to try this place if you’re looking for a good tapas restaurant.

Visited this establishment the other night for a quick drink and a small bite to eat. My wife and I met another couple there. Pretty good place. Friendly staff. We sat outside and watched kids playing football in the park in the center of the Watters Creek. Wife and I shared the Maryland Crab Cake sandwich. It was very good. She had a chocolate martini and I had 2 Shiners. Our friends had martinis and desert. They seemed to like the food and had loved the drinks. Very nice atmosphere inside but it was such a nice evening we decided to stay out of doors. Nice place to come have a quick bite to eat and hang out with friends or perhaps a date night. We will be back…

This is a nice place with atmosphere in Allen. I went on a Saturday night. There was live entertainment. The girl who sang was very good and both me and my wife commented how talented she was. I ordered the Angus filet and my wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The filet was flavorful and melted in my mouth. My wife said the chicken sandwich was very good too. The only thing that was a little annoying was that the waitress was very inattentive. Overall a very nice evening in Allen.

I met up a girlfriend here on a weeknight to grab a couple of drinks before our movie. The place is very cozy and the staff is extremely friendly! I say at the bat while waiting for my friend and the bartender offered my some samples of their signature drinks. If you ever want to try a drink before you order, they will offer you a pretty large sample«shot.» When my friend arrived, we shared the duck quesadilla, which is delicious! I’d highly recommend this place, especially on a slower weeknight. I think on Thur it’s ladies night and they have happy hour specials all night for ladies, which is what enticed us there. The drink specials and friendly staff will definitely have me going back again!

Ok food, very small portions. My husband got the ahi tuna sandwich and we thought they forgot the tuna it was such a thin slice. Drinks are high priced so come for happy hour I guess. They charged our friend $ 5 extra for ice in his scotch!!! Cute atmosphere though.

Good food, especially the small plates. First visit tried the Mac + cheese(very good). Crab cakes a very good also. Meatballs good too. Will go back. The place is more like a bar than a restaurant, but no problem. Service was good but not exceptional . Wine list good but not great. Could use a few more wines by the glass. Overall really good food for a bar!
