I can overlook the complete indifference I was met with when I walked into this place. Hey, I get it, your job stinks, you hate people, blah blah blah, fine. One thing, however, I’m not willing to overlook is a complete lack of cleanliness. This restaurant is a petri dish for bacteria, do entirely to the staff’s apparent preference to lean on their elbows than actually clean anything. The place was empty at 11:30am, and yet, half the tables were dirty, the counter where they keep the cup lids was filthy, and the condiment bar was loaded with enough freezer burn ice to make disgusting, disease-filled snow cones for all the little boys and girls of Allen, TX. If the front looks how it looks, I don’t even wanna think how the kitchen is being maintained. I cannot stress this enough: don’t eat here. Just don’t. Don’t.

Taco Cabana is one of my favorite fast food Mexican places but it’s my first time at this location Wednesday, June 9th right around 5 o’clock. No one came to take our order until I looked in the kitchen and when the cashier came out no sorry about the wait, nothing. The salsa bar was messy and almost all the tables were dirty or sticky. There were only two other guests and at least 4 – 5 employees. Food was not hot and they forgot the beans on my husband’s plate. When they brought them out they weren’t even warm enough to melt the cheese on top a little. Disappointing to say the least. I always thought Taco Cabana was a step up from Taco Bell or Taco Buena but not here. I’ll drive to the Plano location next time. I have only driven through that location a couple of times in the last few years, if it’s not any better inside, I’ll have to cross this one off my list and drive across town to Taco Casa.

I’d give no stars if I could. I’m not sure if this location is under new management, but I have been 2 times in the past 4 weeks because it’s close to my work. First time, I went through the the drive through. There were 4 cars in the drive through in front of me and it took 36 minutes to get my breakfast burrito. Granted, it’s tasty… but 36 minutes? I figured they must have had someone new working so I let it go. I tried it again today on my lunch break(I have 30 mins) I ordered an individual size chips and queso. After 25 minutes, I had to get a return because I had to get back to work and it still hadn’t come out. Not only was I late coming back from lunch(to not have lunch) but the staff was rude and moved slower than my 90 year old grandma. I’ll never go there again.

Geez where to start, I stopped eating here, because it’s just not the same anymore, after I must say 2 years, I decided to give breakfast a chance was craving potato and egg, some barbacoa and coffee, geez nothing has changed maybe even worst, Coffee was mildly warm at best, no taste whatsoever man this is some horrid stuff, potatoes and powder eggs? We’re just absolutely tasteless and dry I mean come on guys add just a little salt! The barbacoa taco, was dry and bland who are you trying to kid, the only good thing are the tortillas, at least those have remained constant, TC has just gotten totally blown out of the water by the competition, like another reviewer mentioned it must be great if you are drunk or hungover. Never coming back again!

My go to place for breakfast tacos! I recommend the bean and egg and the chorizo and egg breakfast tacos. Tortillas are amazing. They make them in house. The food is surprisingly good for a fast food restaurant!

Literally the worst location I’ve ever been to. I’ve been eating at TC for years and have always loved the food and, for the most part, the service at ALL Dallas locations. However, this specific location turns out subpar food and the worst service. My order is almost never correct and the kids working there are less than friendly. Not to mention they are sllllooowwww. I’ve given them several chances. Was excited when they opened — but from now on I’ll go back to Spring Creek and 75.

This is the worst TCs I’ve ever been to. I’ve been here 3 times and I had a bad experience all 3 times. The last time I went there were 3 hairs in my food and my enchiladas were cardboard and seemed like they were not made fresh… Maybe made a day or so prior. Go to the one in Plano instead.

I know, I know, it’s fast food. So my Dad loves Taco Cabana. He lives in East Texas, and when he comes for a visit, we drive through and he gets his specific meal. This time we decided to dine-in. I’ve been to a Taco Cabana before, but never the one in Allen. Fast Mexican food is typically not my thing. We get in line and order our food, the service was about what you would expect from a fast food place. Here’s what threw me for a loop. I had to bring my son and daughter a bean and cheese burrito, so I ordered them to go. The only bean and cheese burrito on the menu is under breakfast it says $ 2.19. I order and they charge me 3 bucks for each burrito. I tell them this seems incorrect and the cashier tells me, «that’s what they cost». So I say, «show me the burrito on the menu». He can’t. I say, «there’s one under breakfast». He tells me that the price I saw is for breakfast only, but the cost for my bean and cheese burrito is 3 buck. I don’t argue, but it doesn’t make sense; to top it off, he was kinda rude. At the end of the day, it’s fast food and you get what you pay for, but c’mon dude, show some manners and at least pretend you care how the customer feels. C– for the entire experience, or better yet, just a Meh…

I have fond memories of «Taco C»(as we used to refer to Taco Cabana) so when I recently had a taco craving while at work, I thought I would hit up the closest Taco Cabana. In retrospect, I think Taco Cabana is a lot more delicious when you’re in college and either drunk or near broke. Food was sub par; I got the street tacos, which had pieces of steak as advertised but then had something else that was either sauce or ground beef, it was hard to tell. I normally love guacamole but theirs had a distinct flavor of dirt. Queso was not as I remembered and looked suspiciously like melted Velveeta. The salsa bar looked like the salsas had most likely been made days or weeks ago. The dining area was dirty and several of the bench seats had large rips in them. I’m sure there are worse places to grab lunch but in this area there are definitely a lot of better options nearby to scratch your Tex Mex itch.

This was our first time at this location. Service was super friendly. Other than that, it was less than satisfactory. Queso was thick and lukewarm. Rice and enchiladas were cold. Refried beans were good; fairly warm. We have always received HOT food at all other Taco Cabana locations we’ve been to. Not sure why this one is so off. They were not busy and we were served right away.

The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because the lady that took my order was nice. My daughter loves this place, but the speed of getting the food has been an issue for a while. They service the drive through quicker than the inside patrons.

I am only giving one star because it requires one to post. Hubby & I went because we had a coupon. Have never been to this particular location and I will never go there again. We waited over 25 min for a BOGO steak taco and a BOGO cheese enchilada in a basically empty restaurant ran by what appeared to be 4 teenagers. We waited that long for cheese enchiladas!!! Finally my hubby asked for money back. He said he watched kids cooking not wearing gloves. I could possibly understand slow if it was near closing but this was at 8:52pm and they don’t close til midnight according to sign in front door. And they weren’t busy! The people who came in after us were about to leave too. Can’t imagine what crappy service the drive thru has.

For the price, the speed, the free salsas, and the yummy grilled steak and chicken, I honestly think taco cabana is one of the best fast food places. I only do drive through, and I come here a lot. I would say that depending on the crew working the day, there could be inconsistencies and occasionally wrong orders… But it’s a fast food chain, reading other people’s review, I am not sure how people can take it so serious and be so upset.

Surprised by the bad reviews, I’ve had nothing but good service when I come here. This is one of the newer restaurants and it’s always clean and the food is always tasty. Good location at 75& Stacy. I’ve come here for breakfast and it’s always been good every time.

Came in with the wife for the 5.00 street taco special. We get to the counter and ask for Margaritas instead of soda, we’d pay the difference. I get a response from the cashier that they can’t do that. What???

I am like Ron, shortest review ever. Filthy dirty. Food and garbage on the floor. I wish we had seen that before we ordered. Never again!

We usually get decent food and service from the drive-thru at this location. However, last night we ordered 2 cabana sampler plates with a buy one, get one for $ 1 coupon. We got one cheese enchilada, rice & beans, and 2 tortillas in each meal. NO tacos or flautas, which were supposed to come with each meal. They also didn’t ask us if we wanted salsa, but instead put two containers of green salsa in our bag. VERY strange, and I wonder if we were given less food because we used a coupon? Not sure if that’s really the case, but it makes you wonder.

Wasn’t busy. We ordered a Beef Fajita Taco platter, a Chicken Fajita Taco, a Bean and Cheese Burrito, a side of Borracho beans, and a 3 oz Queso, and 2 drinks. $ 20.00. The burrito was really full and poorly made. I had to remake it and remove half of the bean and cheese just to get it to where I could manage holding it without it blowing up and oozing stuff out. The Beef Fajita tacos tasted funny, and I could not eat them. My dog liked them later, but he licks his butt too! The rice and beans on the platter were unremarkable. The Chicken Fajita taco was pretty good, the beans were small for the price I paid. I felt screwed. I was looking forward to getting some free chips to enjoy with my taco, low and behold, they don’t give chips away any more. They wanted $ 1.29 or something I used to get for nothing. I am not happy! We could have gone nearly anywhere else and gotten a better meal. The food was sub par, the employees were busy chatting with each other, and I feel the experience was not what the owner, whom I have met, would not like the way this restaurant is performing. I will go elsewhere for my Mexican fix next time!

Dear Taco Cabana, You have a way of letting me know that you’ll always be there for me when I need you most. And when I need you most is when I forget to eat breakfast and am out running errands on empty. You’re always there, telling me, «I’m not that great but people still come for some reason.» But you know what, I still go to you when I need you most BC you’re fast, reliable, boom I’m gone! Yes your food is whatever and you’re trying to be fancy, but it’s impossible to resist your neon pink glow and white, frilly designs. It’s like you know something about me even deeper than my own understanding. It’s like you were created to take advantage of my weak body. My weak body that craves mediocrity and sloppy mush. I am at my weakest when I’m around you and it’s usually when I’m being productive along north 75… just take my money already, but please try not to be so smug about it. Sincerely, Taco Cabana addict.
