Holy moly-great breakfast. If you’re within a 30 mi radius this is the place to come. Great huevos rancheros and blueberry pancakes!

I spent several summers working at a camp nearby. We would go here frequently. This place is the absolute cutest, and the people working there care so much about the customers. Go here if you want to be treated as family. The food takes a bit to come out sometime, but I go here for the experience as well as the food. Great things take time!

This is such a great little hidden gem of a café! My mom and I are staying in town, on vacation from Chicago, and the gentleman we’re renting from had it listed as one of his favorite places. If it wasn’t for him, we never would’ve found it! Our first trip here, I had the banana pancakes with chocolate chips. SO good! And the pancakes were huge! They were the size of the plate! The coffee was equally amazing. It had a hint of cinnamon… still not sure if that was the coffee itself, or the creamer, but it’s delicious. We enjoyed this little place so much, that we came back the next morning for the fantastic cinnamon rolls. This is such a great little family run place. The world needs more of this, for sure.

Maybe we were there on an off day, but even so it was a disappointing breakfast. We were able to sit right away outside on the porch. From there we could read the sign telling everyone that the food is cooked to order and may take some time to prepare. Fair enough, but that doesn’t explain a 20 min wait for coffee. When our food finally did arrive, the 4 egg omelet looked awfully small and the skillet dish ordered without cheese came covered in it. It went back to the kitchen and came out again in just a few minutes. Unfortunately there was very little meat in it this time… really. like we counted 6 little tiny pieces of meat. The bottom line is we spent over $ 34 on breakfast for 3 that took almost an hour and a half altogether. I’ve been a cook, breakfast just shouldn’t take that long to cook. We really wanted to like this place. It has an amazing atmosphere and since we were going to be in the area for 10 days, we were hoping to be able to hit this place every morning. The cost in time and money just didn’t live up to the hype.

Fantastic food and service. I am on a low sodium diet and they were able to make me a great burger and sweet potato fries. My eating partner got a breakfast burrito that was very good and huge. The smoothie I got was a little under blended; it had a bunch of ice chunks. Other than that, no complaints.

My friend and I went last Sunday again. Our favorite place for breakfast. I had the usual for me, the 2 eggs with bacon and a side of two pancakes. Loved it. When I went to put syrup on though the whole top came off pouring all over my plate. Glad I like syrup. Got a fresh plate and moved the food so it was all good. Had plenty of good coffee. We arrived at 8:30, they open at 7:30, we got a table but it’s lucky I think, any earlier and we probably would not have had a seat, any later, after«church», wouldn’t have had a seat either and I don’t like to wait tooling. The time before we had to wait an hour. The waitress is always nice but she’s the only one waiting tables. It’s a small place. Surely will go back again.

A local favorite. Is great for breakfast or lunch. My wife loves the veggie burger and she’s not a vegetarian. Regular burgers are awesome. Try the namesake Meadow Mountain burger. Will take a bit of time to get your food but hey you’re in the mountains for a reason. Kick back and enjoy.

Our friends tell us it’s great. But — important warning! You can’t believe the hours listed here. Drove up for breakfast on a spring Tuesday and it wasn’t open — even though it says here that it is.

An hour drive from downtown Boulder(hint, head up 6 from Lyons for a beautiful canyon drive). Everything about this place is perfect. The salt and pepper shaker collection. The super small dining area. The lack of parking lot. The pot belly stove. Friendly folks, off the beaten path, great food and an adventure to get to. What more can you ask for?

Whenever I miss my grandma I drive out to Meadow Mountain Café. This is Grandma’s kitchen with just a few more tables. Cozy, great coffee, Johnny Cash playing from the kitchen, incredible huevos rancheros and mountain folksy atmosphere=heaven!

This is my favorite breakfast place in the mountains! I have been going here during the summers for at least 15 years! The homemade bread is delicious! The omelets and home fries are so tasty! If you are looking for some wonderful home cooking this is the place!

This place is a great find. Spending my summer working in Estes Park, and sometimes it’s nice to get away from the town. I heard about this little spot from a friend, and I decided to check it out. The food is great! I ordered one of the omelets. The ingredients were fresh, and the reviews were right: the toast with homemade bread was amazing! I also love that they give the option of toast & potatoes or pancakes as a side with your omelette! The atmosphere of this place is very home-y You’ll probably be sharing a table with some strangers, but there’s no better way to enjoy breakfast than with new friends. I’d come back to this place regularly if I could.

By far my favorite restaurant in the area. Home made breads, desserts, original recipes, friendly, respectful, understanding staff,(whom I once had the pleasure of serving as a group at a different restaurant I was waiting tables at) good coffee, super homey feel to it. Always great music playing from the kitchen(Lyle Lovett, Willie nelson, etcetera…) this place reminds me of my late grandmother’s house in VT. Thanks guys, I love it.

Came here today for brunch before hitting the road back to Nebraska. We were staying in Estes Park, which has a lot of touristy-looking places. I was looking for something local and memorable and Unilocal delivered with this little gem. As others have mentioned, the drive along CO Hwy 7(Peak to Peak) is gorgeous. I had the Huevos Rancheros with green chili and a side of toast. My husband had the Denver Skillet. Everything was delicious! You could tell it was homemade with very fresh ingredients. The cinnamon coffee and wood-burning stove were also welcome on a chilly winter morning. I would not hesitate to come back again the next time I am in the area.

I hit this nice little place with my family at about 11:30 so it was a mixed table of breakfast eaters and lunch eaters. I had Huevos Rancheros and it was tasty. I could have sworn it came with bread and potatoes but the waiter said no. Maybe I misread the menu. Anyhoo. My side order of homemade toast was excellent too. Everyone else enjoyed their food –lunchers and breakfasters alike. Warning-when I say this place is little I am not kidding. There are maybe 5 tables and the entry door hits one of them when you walk in. Lots of locals seem to frequent this restaurant and they are not shy about making it known they are waiting for a table. The bathroom is also a little less than private but hey, it’s in the country. Would go back for sure.

This place is phenomenal! If you haven’t had breakfast here, you are missing out. Period. I would highly recommend ordering the huevos rancheros. Yum! Our family stopped by on more than one occasion and were impressed with each visit. Besides the huevos rancheros, we also ordered traditional breakfast entrees that were palate pleasing. Our kids ordered pancakes and were very pleased. The pancakes are gigantic! This is a quaint little restaurant that sits off the beaten path a bit. But not so far off the path that you can’t go. We were visiting the area in the summer and were able to eat outside on the front porch. It was an enjoyable experience watching the hummingbirds visit the hanging baskets while sipping on some delicious coffee. I felt like I was visiting a relative’s house for breakfast instead of a restaurant. It was great. Check this place out. You won’t regret it. There are plenty of options on the menu to satisfy everyone.

This place is a destination! Take your sweetheart, take your friends and family and drive on up here for a great meal — homemade everything, jam, biscuits, beans. Huevos, sandwiches, onion rings(!), omelets and their truly famous green chili with pork. Take some of this home with a side of tortillas and you will be so happy later in the day. Bonus is the drive — a gorgeous trip from any angle. I highly recommend this route from Boulder: take Lee Hill drive til it ends at Left Hand Canyon. Take a left. Go up through Ward. Right on Hwy 72. Left on Hwy 7. Left on Main Street through Ferncliff and up to Allenspark. It’s also a nice drive from Nederland along Hwy 72, Peak to Peak. Enjoy.

Loved this place. Fresh, healthy, home-cooked fare off the beaten path. We headed here for a hearty breakfast after a morning ride at the nearby stables. Cinnamon-scented coffee. Giant fluffy pancakes(hint: order *one* per kid). Yummy omelets. Thick toast made from home-baked bread. Cute décor — have to guess the art glass is from the Estes Park handblown glass place. Eat on the porch if there’s a table available.
