I haven’t been to many craft stores lately so I can’t compare. Overall pretty good selection for certain crafts and (if you have a coupon) the prices are pretty reasonable. The sales people were very helpful and nice. The store is laid out well but if you’re not familiar you end up looking over the whole store anyway.

Here’s the thing, the thing I hate most about ACMoore are their customers. All too often the place is choked with suburban crafting mom’s in thrall to some kind of retail shopping zombie thing. It’s like a scene from Dawn of the Dead. Navigating through the store and it’s denizens can be a much less than pleasant experience.
But that’s not the store.
So, the selection is great in places, average to below average in others. It just depends. I’ve had very experiences with the people in the framing department. Friendly and helpful which, considering the onslaught of drooling deal shoppers they must encounter, is amazing. The other side of this is, routinely, the poor, harried people at the check out are, well, harried. It’s like watching a video of PTSD victims and I feel bad for them just as I hate having to negotiate the checkout process with someone whose brains have likely been sucked from their poor bodies without their consent.
The other thing about ACMoore is they coupon relentlessly. Go to the site and get whatever discount they are offering at the time. There is ALWAYS some kind of discount offer or special sale offered there. Which leads me to think that the real mistake any ACMoore will make is not showing with a fistful of coupons.
So now, you know why the staff at the checkout lines are so zombified. Every sale is like a buying a house with various sales prices, discounts and coupons to deal with. Checking out at ACMoore has all the attraction of the TSA security line at LAX, minus the embarrassing ex-​ray machine but, not quite as fast. Yeah, that slow.
If you need something in the whole arts and crafts world, this might be your best bet in Lancaster but it’s by no means a pleasant one.

this new store has a nice layout that feels more open. When i am looking for fake flowers or ribbon, this is my stop. Sometimes they have good sales on yarn and they usually have good prices on plain t-​shirts for decorating. If you are looking for decorations for baby showers or wedding showers, this is a great place to start.
