Went there last night for dinner. It flat out sucked, no need to sugar coat it. This place is geared towards older clientele who want over cooked, over boiled food and other wise very bland food. It is literally like getting served hospital or high school cafeteria food. The prices are cheap, and you get what you pay for. I had the turkey platter which came with the thinnest slices of dried out turkey I have ever had in my like.

Terrible service! I have never been to a restaurant with a server more rude then the server we had here(black hair, tall, light skin. You know who you are). Met my wedding coordinator here yesterday morning for a short breakfast meeting. We kindly asked if we could have some time before ordering and the server was immediately pissed. Throughout breakfast she gave snarky comments directed toward us, rude looks and pointed fingers at our tables and comments to other tables about our table. Extremely unprofessional. My fiancé ordered a chocolate milk and she snarked back saying that she would have to walk all the way to the kitchen to get that so she wanted our orders right away when we didn’t even get to look at the menu. She said«good afternoon» loudly to the table next to us trying to say that we’ve been there too long. She was telling people near us that she«would like to have an office too.» The worst part is we weren’t even there that long. We were there from 9 – 10:45 and there were at least 20 open tables so we weren’t taking up space. There were other people having coffee and reading newspaper and taking their time around us. My wedding coordinator had expressed how disappointed we were in our experience when we went up to pay and the manager didn’t even care. I grew up right down the street on the east side of Allentown and I am embarrassed that a business like this would disgrace the east side. Only eat here if you want to be rushed, harassed and have an Allentown white trash experience. Take your business to the Golden Gate Diner on Union Blvd!

So far so good! The place is right by Denny’s across from shopping center. I enjoyed my turkey sandwich, really has that homemade feeling to it and the turkey meat wasn’t dry at all. As for the coleslaw it was heavenly, not heavy on the mayo and it just melted in my mouth. The waitress was very attentive with a great attitude. This is my first night in town and won’t be my last at Bethlehem diner :)

Use to be a regular but there have been a lot of issues over the years, many of which keep happening. I go here when I am at last choice and want something other than a burger or the like. No idea why the cooks cannot read the slip when it says no onions it means do not put them on. I will stick with going for breakfast. I do appreciate that they do a special breakfast for our local troops some Sundays. Kudos for that.

Typical diner fare, however this diner has friendly staff, soup/salad bar, and very decent prices. Located close to KABE, it’s a great place to grab a bite before a flight.

Me and wife go here on busy weekends. No waiting to get seated, the food is reasonably priced, were stuffed with breakfast for around $ 12. Best of all the 10 minutes or less guarantee lives up to its name i don’t we’ve waited longer than 5 minutes for our food ever.

What a depressing, outdated, ugly place. The chicken shish ke Bob whatever it was called, had absolutely no taste. Terrible. No one enjoyed their meal.

A must try for breakfast in the Lehigh valley. They truly stand by their 10 minute guarantee — breakfast in 10 minutes — delicious! Always busy but do not let that stop you from trying they are busy because clearly everyone wants to eat here!

Good food and fast service. A little dated 80 – 90’s diner vibe. Pretty clean just dated. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. I normally come here for the half chicken dinner that is absolutely amazing!

I realize that the Bethlehem diner is a staple in town. People love this place but I just don’t get it. It’s greasy and I can make a better breakfast at home to be honest. Every time I eat here(not my choice) I feel sick after from the grease. There are so many better breakfast places in town that have more unique choices and healthier options such as Blue Sky, Jumbars, Mitzy’s table. I recommend those places over BD. If you’re into a greasy breakfast then head here.

Mediocre food here. Price is cheap, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Service left a lot to be desired. Food took forever to get to us. The waitress did not give us water or bread or anything at all while we waited either. What happened here prompted a tweet from my daughter: Waitress: Is everything OK here? Yeah, would be just GREAT if you actually had brought something to our table in the mast 15 minutes! ‘Nuff said

OK food, not great. Place is pretty run down. People working there are polite, especially the gentleman at the front. OK to go when all other places are closed.

Well the service was very good because Amy G was very honest. Also very friendly. There was no one in the place. The salad bar was lame and looked like it sat untouched for hours. Food ingredients weren’t fresh. Example: Chicken parm was made with frozen chicken patties. If your from North Jersey or around the original diner areas, this is not the place for you. Trust me. You will regret it. But the Dennys and Friendly’s are next door and awesome not like Jerseys Friendly’s

Welp, Unilocal.Lets add this place to the FOREVERSKIPPINGTHISPLACE list. Went here at 11am on a Sunday with 3 friends. Place was packed and not the cleanest diner I’ve been to. Lighting was bright, tables and chairs depserately needed upgrade /replacement. 3 of the 4 coffee mugs on our table were chipped/cracked. Coffee was bitter and not at all tasty — typically diners have fantab coffee. Nope, not at this diner. Waitress was prompt and efficient and polite. The service was average — nothing too special. The food just simply wasn’t too appealing to the human eye. The french toast looks frozen and warmed up(not fresh made), the BLT and Turkey Bacon Club(for 8 dollars each??) were small and not totally loaded with anything special. SKimpy on the mayo and BACON! ANd once we got to the Bacon, it was cold and grubby. Oh gross dude ! We were not pleased! FRENCHFRIESWEREABOVEAVERAGE ! THISHASADDED A STARTOTHIS1STARREVIEW. Eggs and corn beef hash were lacking flavor, portion size and overall visual appeal. I get it, its a diner, but try to make the food look palatable. Prices were high overall! Ketchup bottles on table were sticky and empty! Syrup bottle was all messy and sticky as well — no label on the bottle, you can totally tell that it MUSTBEGENERIC. Waitresses attempted to rush us from our table at the end of our meal. It felt cold and unnecessary for her to rush us. I’ve never been a fan of diners, ever. And this was another reminder of why! Steer clear of this place. ITJUSTISNTWORTHIT ! Find somewhere else go to ! PS… thier parking lot was a complete B! TCH to park in. OMG. What a nightmare! There is a angle in thier parking lot — and its a nightmare to navigate. JUSTDONTDOTHISPLACE!

This place really is a great diner if you’re willing to overlook a few key details: 1. Don’t expect them to have things available. I tried to order chicken parm this week and found out that they were out of chicken. I mean who the hell runs out of chicken? Then I went for a Lasagna which was on special. Initially they were out of that but then our server said that one could whipped up. Of course when it came it literally had no sauce on it anywhere. Apparently they were out of red sauce as well. The lovely wife bravely ordered some kind of seafood dish which was very small in portion size even though she said that is was not that bad. I mean it wasn’t that good either since there was hardly any flavor but at least kudos for it not being bad, right? 2. Don’t expect your check to be correct either. Remember that chicken parm that I attempted to order? Well even though they were out of it when the check came naturally I was still billed for it. When I attempted to take this up with the owner at the register she had to track down our server to rewrite the check and to verify that I wasn’t lying to try and pay less for the«special» lasagna. 3. Don’t expect this place to be located in the city that’s in its name. While it may be called the Bethlehem Diner, of course the physical address is in Allentown so go ponder that awhile! I mean the area doesn’t have that many diners and most of them either are not that good or they keep short hours so this place is kind of a best of the rest. But while it may be better than the Denny’s next door that’s a very low bar to jump over and quite honestly the criticisms that have been lobbed by other Unilocalers are very true regarding small portion sizes, higher prices and food that totally lacks flavor. For breakfast stuff the BD is alright, past that no, no, no.

Dirty, run down, average food, average service, what more can you ask for. On the positive side, I was very full with my salad bar, soup, open face turkey sandwich for a reasonable price. I question the bright yellow color of the turkey gravy. What gives? How does one make turkey gravy soooo yellow? Ahhh, yellow #5. Enjoy.

Firstly, in my opinion, for a diner representing the town, I’d expect better. The service was slightly below average, the food was mediocre, lacking any kind of seasonings … I think they left cinnamon out of there french toast recipe, the home fries were lacking. Lastly, you come here if you can’t take the wait at the denny’s that’s adjacent to it.
