Dan’s has been around since before most of us were born. A trip to the Allentown Farmer’s Market would not be complete without seeing racks upon racks of golden brown crispy whole chickens roasting on spits filling the air with fragrant aromas of bar-b-qued meat. Honestly, I haven’t tried anything they have to offer until recently. I ordered a whole roasted chicken and about two lbs of ribs. The chicken was delicious with moist and crisy skin. The ribs were well charred, but it was«gnaw the meat off the bone» doneness. Not the«fall off the bone tender» I was expecting. At around $ 10.00 a LB(for the ribs) definitely not worth it. Go for the chicken, though… They do have a nice seating area you can eat your dinner and watch the show of patrons/oddities passing by.
