I found a CPO Audi A4 from
and was in negotiation over email and phone with Nathan Gaugler. Knopf increased the cost of the vehicle within 24 hours of my inquiry but said that they would honor the cost that I had seen the car for. After a few more rounds of negotiation Nathan quoted me a price which was to be considered «out the door». I provided him with payment information and offered to put more down on the car since I was unable to come in until a week later. About an hour later I receive a call from the finance department (I believe his name was David) and say that Nathan misquoted me and they will not honor the price. They inform me that he is not even in sales but deals with online inquiries which leads me to wonder why he was dealing with cost negotiations in the first place. The cost has now increased approximately 2K and I said I would need to think about it. This is around 5PM Friday (they close at 6) I call back Saturday morning to say I will take the car only to have them inform me they already sold it.
A courtesy call would have been appreciated, but it is pretty apparent they just want to make the buck and be on their way. I drove up to Audi Meadowlands where I received excellent customer service and would recommend others look elsewhere.

I own a Porsche and an Audi. I bought my Porsche Cayenne S at Knopf. The sales process was professional.
The service side of Knopf is in a word, «DISHONEST». I stopped bringing my Audi to Knopf several years ago because the service writer was untruthful and always tried to sell me repairs I did not need. The writers get paid on commission. I thought the Porsche service writer was honest. I was wrong. I brought the car in for a routine inspection. I told the writer beforehand that the car runs perfectly. If he finds anything wrong I will likely check the cost of the repair with an independent shop. I go to pick up and am told it needs a $ 750 part. It has to be ordered. I have to bring car back in a few days. I drive away and go to fill up the tank. the pump triggers off. every pump I try triggers off because the fill tube is not working. can’t refuel. I am suspicious. I take the car to my local independent shop that specializes in german cars. Sure enough. He pulls a foreign piece of plastic from the filler tube. he removed the plastic, car runs perfectly. I can only conclude, KNOPF SERVICE SABOTAGED MY FUEL PIPE. Why? to make me come back for the $ 750 service. These guys are dishonest.

Bought my Audi from this dealership and everyone who works here is very courteous, friendly, and professional. Shoutout to Lisa in the Audi service department who always takes care of me when I bring the car in for service, she is always very nice and helpful.
Also big shoutout to Keith, one of the sales reps. I bought the car from Keith and he has always stayed in touch and been there when I had any questions about my vehicle. If you do buy or lease your car at Knopf, definitely go see Keith!
Although service and parts for Audi is always expensive, Knopf sends me valued customer discounts all the time ($ 10 – 25 off service, 10% off parts, etc etc), which helps slightly ease the brunt of the costs. The only thing with the coupons is they expire quick which yields them useless, but Knopf will, on rare occasions, honor expired coupons. They offer complimentary snacks and beverages in their large waiting area and they will offer to drive you somewhere while you wait if necessary.
Overall they offer quality service and they really know German cars and how to ensure your vehicle performs to top standards. Would definitely recommend purchasing your Audi, Mercedes, or Porsche from here.

During the 1990s and early 2000s, my family and I purchased numerous new and used Audis here. I still take my Audis here for service.
The service department has always been excellent. Easy to get appointments, service advisors are friendly/​helpful, and everyone seems to be willing to go the extra mile when you’ve got a problem. Modern facility, well-​stocked waiting room with free high speed internet access.
As for the sales end, unfortunately pricing is not very competitive, and this is why I don’t buy from Knopf any longer. Possibly due to the fact that they have a monopoly on new Audi sales in the area. Next closest dealer is in Reading, I believe. Go east into NJ or south to the Philly suburbs where there is more competition and you may get a better deal.

Audi was our last stop of the day. We wanted to test drive an A3, but alas, they literally only had one A3 left, and it was in the showroom, so we couldn’t drive it.
So we could sit in it, and we could ask questions, but it didn’t seem like the two staffers we spoke with knew too much about the new 2010 models that would be coming in. They did say that they’d call us once they got 2010 stock in so that we could take one out.
I guess it’s not their fault, and most places we visited did have low inventory, but no one else had nothing. I guess good for them, but frustrating as a buyer. We’ll be back once they have something we can drive, so maybe I’ll be able to bump their star rating then.
