Dined here yesterday for the first time with my family. It was pretty charming, as sushi buffets in mini malls go. Fresh food where it counted, and a good size selection. I had a little sampling from at least 5 different fish/seafood dishes. They were a bit heavy on the butter and oils, but still good. Salmon was very thick, which I love. Seafood scampi was a big hit with all of us. I’m not big on fried items, but I tried one crab rangoon and liked it so much I made sure to pick up another on my second plate. Sushi was interesting; ingredients were good, fresh, some unique rolls. Quite a few spicy rolls, one extremely hot that came as a surprise. The only negative was that it all appeared to be made of regular fluffy white rice, not sushi rice. Good service. We were very well attended to. Clean dining area and restrooms, too. When our bill came, we were also given free bowling passes for the nearby lanes. That was a cool surprise(which my kids will undoubtably inquire about over the next few weeks until we go). We will definitely choose to eat here again.

Love the food here, ginger lobster, crab legs, oyster, hibachi and grill, sushi, kale salad are my favorite. I always bring my friends and families here for any occasions. Best Chinese buffet in town.

If you like seafood, this is the place. The ginger lobster is awesome. They always have great sushi and try to be inventive with it. The staff are wonderful as well! Just a great place

This used to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. We went there for many years and always enjoyed their food. Recently we did take out from there and were extremely disappointed. My chicken with garlic sauce was tasteless and did not have much chicken in it. The garlic sauce had a sweet taste to it — very strange. My wife got sweet and sour chicken which would seem like a hard dish to mess up but it wasn’t good. The wonton soup was tasteless and salty. Really disappointed! Don’t know what’s going on but sure hope they correct it!

Wide variety of options, especially in the seafood department. The freshness of their food depends on when you go. If you go too early, you’ll get leftovers from the previous day. If you go too late, they’ll stop bringing out fresh food. Otherwise, everything is delicious. The green beans are always firm yet tender, the flounder falls apart in your mouth, and as others have mentioned, the Hong Kong steak is a step above the rest. Impeccable service, especially when the owner happens to greet you.

Please sir, may I have some clams or crab? That’s what you’ll find yourself saying at this place. it is also the difference between my 5-star and my 3-star review. I have done the math, and I am not underestimating. I live close by and I have eaten here HUNDREDS of times. The food is fantastic, and the seafood choices are outstanding. Another reviewer also mentioned their Hong Kong Steak, which is delicious. It’s been my experience that all the food choices range from good to superb. They keep your drink full, and clear dirty dishes promptly. What they DON’T do, is supply or offer a cracker for the crab. If you want or need one, you’re going to have to actually ask for it. That’s what brings us to the ‘deal breaker’. The owner is a good businessman. Maybe TOO good. During the summer months, they’ll have fresh, local, corn on the cob. Dirt cheap, plentiful, filling, and delicious. SMART. The local population has a more than sizable percentage of people of Latin American influence, and their flan is the best I’ve ever tasted, and far and away the best dessert I’ve ever had in a Chinese joint. SMART! Now this most important part is financially smart, but pure stupidity from a customer satisfaction viewpoint. The steamed clams tray and the crab legs tray are almost always empty. That would be understandable, if they would refill them in a timely manner. But they don’t. And if they’re fortunate enough to have customers leave behind a tray full of empty clam shells, you’re not likely to even have the opportunity to have any clams. I’ve already taken two dozen empty shells back to my table thereby nullifying their excuse. They often wait for people to get frustrated and actually form a waiting line next to the crab tray. This is also financially wise. Those people standing in line, realize that there are others waiting behind them, and don’t want to be the ‘hog’ that leaves others without. Pretty slick… huh? In Canada, they call that ‘greasy’ and here in PA Dutchland, we call it ‘hoofty’. I have an on again — off again relationship with this place. There are so many Chinese buffets in the area, and they come and go. Others have clams, but they tend to not clean them properly, or just have lousy, tasteless clams. But New China always has great clams. When there is another choice for good crab AND good clams, I go there. When the option is not available, I fall back to New China. Currently, I am fortunate enough to have my weekly(sometimes more often) seafood dinner at the Flaming Grill in Whitehall, where I am not made to feel like a beggar waiting in a soup line, for what I am paying dammed good money for!

So based on reviews I thought this may have been better. So wrong. Everything was unappetizing, slimy, tasteless, covered in a very similar sauce. I could barely eat any of it. I would try a few bites here and there but then just stopped. Such a waste. Do not go here.

Worst place ever stay away last time I’m bringing my family here it use to be a great place but now the food tastes old and cold and the worst part is that the servers watch you like hawks and they charged my family for a meal and drink because they saw my 2 year old daughter have a sip of my wife’s drink and when I complain they said the server saw my daughter eat too it was a lie so I said ok I’m not going to tip then so we left never again please stay away

Clean restaurant, delicious food, well managed they really stay on top of things. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is their General Tso chicken(a crowd favorite) is sometimes small and overcooked. Should be large pieces and soft, and sometimes is. Thats the only dish thats not consistent. And the ice cream is frozen solid to the point where children and most adults cannot serve themselves, and wind up angry after struggling with it. They fix those 2 things they get 5 stars!

I live up the street from this place, I have to say there is a 50 – 50 chance that the foods actually going to be good. The only reason I really like going here is the fact that they have crab legs but every time I go they either have none available or it takes several people asking if they can please put more out, and the crab legs are always cold, I never ate them hot or even warm. I rather order to go than eat in.

Incredibly Disappointed. This had such high reviews I had to give it a try. First of all it has about 3 Chinese dishes… 3… This is a Chinese buffet so that being said I would think that it should consist of primarily Chinese food and maybe a bit of American food and Japanese food to appease all tastes… But not this buffet. They have 70% seafood. Now I do enjoy seafood but I went to a Chinese buffet to eat Chinese food so having no Chinese food options is I would say a letdown but that is a complete understatement. I tried some of the seafood dishes and they were so-so and the Chinese they did have was bland and cold… It was all and all an awful experience.

We’ve been enjoying eating here over 5 years. Well known for great selection of seafood. Their fresh tasty sushi rolls are one of my favorites! Servers as well as the owner are very friendly! No wonder they have numerous regulars like us.

They have cockroaches. We were eating there tonight and it crawled right across our table! The manager said«you going to leave and not eat anymore?» REALLY?

My spouse and I have been going to this Buffet for a few years now. It’s smaller than most buffet’s which, in my opinion makes it better. Navigation of the food choices is easy due to well laid out heating tables that are clearly marked. The service is good with plate clearing and beverage refill occurring rather quickly. The General Tso’s beef is delicious as is the almond chicken. The egg rolls are fresh and tasty with a nice light flakey crust. The vegetables are fresh and good tasting. The fruit is very fresh and the Sushi is adequate. This is a bufffet, they do everything decently, if you want something to be of higher quality then spend more of your money at a higher full service Chinese restaurant. It’s worth driving a few miles to enjoy this buffet.

Yikes. Not good. For buffet standards its definitely lower in quality. Food is «eh», kinda tastes as if its been sitting out to long. Skip it.

My family has been going here for about 14 years. Pre-renovation times. I grew up loving this place, and in many aspects it’s improved. The food is consistently good. There are a lot of seafood options. The only issue I have(and i see a lot of other Unilocalers agree) is with the crab legs. They only bring them out so often, and when they do people will fill multiple plates immediately. Once the pan is empty, it’s often 45 minutes until more come out. I don’t think it takes 45 minutes to make crab legs, guys. Their sushi bar is my favorite part of the entire establishment. There are the typical rolls, but then also a lot of variations with new exciting flavors. The hibachi bar is kept fresh, and the person who prepares it is VERY good at what he does. The service is always polite and efficient. It’s five star when the owner is in the building, but at any other time, I’d say 4 stars. I’d give this place 5 stars if they fixed the pesky crab leg issue.

Pretty good but wouldn’t go back – they are very chintzy about the crab legs, and just don’t usually refill them very often if at all, after a certain hour. Would be a pretty good choice if they fixed their policy on the crab legs.

After a long day at Dorney Park with our tummies wanting something more than hot dogs and hamburger, my friends and I found our way here to New China Buffet. What a treat this place is~! For what I would normally pay double, if not more, at our normal«go-to» Asian buffet place in Flushing, we got some very fresh sushi, grilled-to-order steaks, made-to-order stir-fry, crab legs, shrimp and more! When scoping out an Asian buffet, I immediately hone in on the sushi or sashimi, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how wonderfully fatty and fresh the salmon was. I ended up just eating the fish and ignoring the rice, and was very pleased to see that our table was the only one partaking of this delicious delight. Yes you people over there eating Chinese food with a fork, please keep ignoring the sushi so we can have it all to ourselves! *evil cackle* Between the four of us, we pounded down crab legs by the boat load, god knows how much salmon sushi/sashimi, chilled whole shrimp, scallops in butter sauce and some tender NY strip steak. Mmmmmm~!

This is our«don’t wanna cook» quickie. A few comments. They need more Chinese foods and less of everything else. This restaurant offers crab legs, however getting them is the issue. Also getting kind of expensive. Family of 4 $ 60.

This is a good buffet — my fall back buffet actually. Food is plentiful and prices are decent. My family used to go here quite often but once they started cutting back on the crab legs(which is the main thing for my parents) we’ve been venturing out to East Supreme Buffet. They still bring it out, just not that much and people usually swoop in on it, and it doesn’t get refilled often. And they stop refilling it once it’s an hour/90 minutes to closing. An hour, hour and half, is WAYYY too early to stop putting out new crab legs IMO. That pissed my parents off hahaha. I still like their other seafood dishes and they’re pretty decent. I still visit once every few months to check it out.
