I absolutely love Nicks Diner. They have the best breakfast and amazing burgers. It’s one of they only places I’ve eaten at that has fresh meat burgers. I hate frozen burgers. The food is so yummy!!! I drive from whitehall to allentown to eat here.

If you want bland and blah breakfast then this is your place. They’re really close to my house so I got lazy a couple times and each time I was disappointed. I’m always over charged and could only eat a couple bites.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. To begin with their food is only average tasting. One night I came here for dinner and decided to order the fried shrimp with a side of applesauce and fries. I didn’t like the taste of the shrimp so I told my waitress I would like something else. She was pleasant and apologized and brought me the menu back over so I could order something different. She then continued to take away the French fries and applesauce which I planned on eating, because there was nothing wrong with the fries and applesauce. Since there was nothing else that stood out on the menu to me and I was starving and just wanted something to eat, I decided to just order pancakes then. The pancakes tasted fine but were nothing special. Once the bill came I was shocked to see that I was being charged extra for the French fries, and applesauce that was taken away from me. Since it was late I didn’t complain but it really aggravated me that in order to just make more money I was charged for food I wasn’t even given a chance to eat. This experience combined with just the average tasting food, and mediocre service will be why I will set foot here again and why I will never recommend this place to anyone. Don’t waste your money on this place.

This place was bad a few years ago so I never wanted to go back. But my friend and I received gift cards for this diner so had to go for lunch to spend them. Place was worse then years ago, filthy, I went to the restroom to wash my hands and left there feeling dirtier than when I went in. Service was ok, our waitress was nice, the booth was filthy and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall as we ate. The music was ok but that could not make up for the food. I had«red» clam chowder,(I guess that means Manhattan clam chowder), it was watered down clams and it wasnt even red! I had a gyro and my friend had a chicken sandwich, both were awful and I felt nausious when I left. If not for the gift card we wouldnt’ have been there in the first place, definitely will NEVER go back, and if we get gift cards again I will donate mine to charity.

I really enjoyed the food. I wasn’t sure at first because of the middle rating but was pleasantly surprised. I had a farmers omelet that was excellent. My buddy had the California burger and was also satisfied. For the price I would give it 5 stars. We both had desert also, apple crumb with ice cream. Really good. I hope more people give Nicks a try like I did. Heck I might even try a bunch of 3 star places I have skipped in the past!

Definition of an outstanding diner. Clean, bright, great music(Sirius satellite radio 60s station), quick service, friendly people and solid food. Fries tasted great, the cole slaw was well made, and our sandwiches all were freshly made. Really enjoyable.

Pretty good diner food. Large portions. Good fries and pierogies. Excellent chili. The coffee is fresh and hot every time I go, but it takes awhile to be served. Waitresses are sortof surly.(Some people expect that in a diner, but I prefer friendly service.) I have refilled my own coffee cup a couple times, which seems to annoy the waitstaff, but doesn’t motivate them to bring over the coffee pot themselves. The food is as expected from the menu, pretty tasty. Good soup, but salty. They have a case of desserts and they look good – homemade pies. They serve a lot of local favorites and some Mediterranean/Slavic dishes. Sandwiches are generous and they have specials that come with soup/salad and two sides. Good deal. I go in about once a week and it doesn’t vary. Nice to have a neighborhood diner that’s predictable.

I gave this place a try and was disappointed with the food. This is how I usually check a diner if they are up to par by ordering their burgers. I ordered the Cali Burger(no cheese) — it said served with chips, cole slaw and pickles I received the burger on a ROLL with a little bit of onions, a thinnly sliced green pepper, a piece of lettuce that cost $ 4.75 and it came with a small sauce container of cole slaw and literally gave me POTATOCHIPS that you get from Lay’s regular chips!!! My gf ordered a regular hamburger and basically same thing without the veggies. So basically just those little pieces of veggie cost 80 cents more. This cost $ 3.9 forgot to mention that it was 2 regular small circle thin sliced pickles. This is a diner! it should be a quarter of a full sized pickle served with FRIES! and more veggies for your burger. for the price I could’ve went to Five Guys with lots of toppings. plus no mayo like how other diners do.

Standard diner fare. Food comes out VERY hot, and in big portions. Omelets are great, though for foodies-some things such as the biscuits and gravy-won’t leave you incredibly impressed. The sausage gravy is extremely flour-y but still easy to eat. The potatoes/home fries… be sure to salt them well! Overall: Ok food, served very hot, large portions, low diner prices, fast service, and decent coffee. A solid place but not one for a diner/foodie buff who’s looking for that ‘hole in the wall that serves the most amazing gut bursting breakfasts’ that most look for in a diner. That being said: I will return for the omelets.

Nick’s is a nice enough place. The staff is very friendly. The interior is super dineresque. The menu is pretty large! It just didn’t quite grab me. It could be that we’re(mostly, with the occasional fish) vegetarian, and there weren’t many options, but what we did get was hit or miss. The spinach pie was okay. The sweet potato fries are excellent! The fact that a tuna salad wrap came out with chicken in it(not of the sea, either), not so hot. If you’re a carnivore, you’ll pobably fare better, because there’s a selection of burgers and sandwiches. Give it a try, at least! You won’t totally regret it, probably maybe!
