Penn Pizza

I hate this place! I have to leave another bad review.
Had a stromboli because my sister picked it up and I was like oh no not that place.
The salami on the boil tasted odd. It better not be spoiled!!! The worst Stromboli I ever had… yes it sucked. Their food sucks!!! The sauce looked like chicken wing sauce and everyone commented on how gross it was. There is no way the owners are Italian, they have to be Pennsylvania Dutch or something to have Italian food this awful.
They are banned in my house!
Gross!

I am pissed that this area has no good pizza places!

We had delivery on Friday night. Called at 6:30 — 6:45, food was delivered by 7:20! They told us 45 minutes to an hour or so. We were happily surprised when the doorbell rang at 7:20.
My husband and I both ordered chicken cheesesteaks. I ordered the California style, it was great. The food was still hot when we got it and the rolls were not soggy. We were nervous they would be when we saw the styrofoam containers.
We will definitely order from them again.
Since we got delivery I cannot comment on the actual location. I will update my review if I do go in.

Since this review we have had:
Sausage, Pepper, Onion Stromboli– yummy. We’ve actually had it twice since my first review. Multi colored peppers added such a nice touch. Great dipping sauce.
Italian Rice Balls w/​spinach and ricotta. Yum! Would absolutely get it again.
Fresh Mozzarella Salad — so good. It’s great the way it is. When I get it, I put it in a large bowl, add the balsamic dressing and shake it up. We’ve had it twice since the first review and we will have it again.

This pizza place is your old school walk in pizza joint with a twist. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Pizza is top in the valley and the creative concoctions they sometimes make are delicious.

If you like NY style pizza this is not the place. Crust not crispy or thin enough. Sauce is not sweet. Cheese could be a higher grade. That being said, its OK. Mama’s near by is more inline with NY style, and Biaggio’s is the best on Cedercrest. Penn is the only place that delivers or close enough to deliver.

Penn Pizza has the best pizza in the Lower Macungie area by far. The crust is perfect and toppings are great. We always order sausage and pineapple. It shouldn’t be so hard to find great pizza.

Pizza is so so, not the best and not the worst in the area… but the loaded fries are really good! The Fresh Mozzarella salad (their version included mozzarella, tomatoes, oranges, olives, red onions, roasted red peppers and artichokes) and was really good but could do without all the lettuce! The description didn’t include lettuce yet the salad was packed with it.
We tried meatball sandwiches last time which were not that good. They were covered in neon orange sauce and to me it looked like hot wing sauce yet it tasted like tomato sauce lol. I’d give this place 3.5 stars if I could.

Very clean and well maintained restaurant, staff is genuinely friendly. They say they’re not your «typical» pizza place. This is an understatement. What pizza place has Thai chicken soup? Their gourmet pizza is excellent, I recommend the Buffalo Chicken, but you really can’t go wrong. Restaurant is BYOB as well. Thanks to Beth and Frank for a wonderful experience!

Order their version of the German pizza. For delivery. The order was on time. Pizza was very good! Had a horseradish sauce and mixture of mozzarella and Swiss? Very good steak meat! Pizza was very tasty! Would do it again! Also had the house salad with house vinaigrette. salad was very good everything but the kitchen sink? Egg, cauliflower, carrots, olives… Perfect. Only one small complaint… Wish they had dropped off a menu? However will stop by tomorrow to pick one up it was that good. Nice job guys!

Picked up some pre-​Thanksgiving dinner for the night before. First time we tried pizza from this location, and it is now on our short-​list. Went with a combo [Penn Combo, maybe … heavy on meat and veggies]; cheese; and, a cheesesteak combo. Crust is not too thick, but thin enough to fold easily. Nothing was fancy. However, the food is tasty, and the toppings are ample. Cheese was rich. Veggies included broccoli — a plus for me, but not for a daughter. ;-)
Fairly small dining area. We ordered to-​go. I’m sure that they deliver. Large served up 8, large slices. The three larges we ordered easily covered our group of 9 people.
