Stopped here on my way home from Ashford Estate after Unilocal showed it being the closest place to buy coffee. I will not go back. I felt a bad vibe as soon as I walked in. After noticing the deli and coffee counter were not very clean I opted for a bottled drink and chips. The guy at the register had an attitude when I walked up to pay and then proceeded to charge me 35 cents more for the two items. Honestly, I didn’t even care that I had been overcharged at that point. I was just happy to leave the store.

The food is good, the people are unusually nice. They’ve got good variety of grocery selections for a deli. And hey you can play the lottery, too.

They try to appear like nice guys… but I always get a weird vibe in this place… it’s just not my kind of deli. Seems a bit on the dirty side. And what really got me was the price the were asking for a case of water during hurricane Sandy. Not real team players. take your small profit. I’ll never set foot inside again.

my first review on this site. im a contractor so i eat out all the time, sometimes for 3 meals a day and i finally decided i had to start reviewing. stop by Pete’s initially thinking about getting pizza next door but since it was 85 degrees outside i thought cold sub would be better… about 10 daily specials(great deals) but i chose ham/salami/provolone w/the works. good size for half sub, decent layering of meats and cheese and bread was delicious(surprising at 2pm)…good overall pricing and i got free chips… if im in the area ill stop ny again and check out other items

Pete’s has some thing for everybody in his small little deli. The menu varies from the traditional deli options of wraps and club sandwiches. To some items that shock you by their presence like clam strips or popcorn chicken. I ordered off the specials menu and got the Pulled BBQ Pork with provalone cheese sandwich. They provide you a area you can eat in, but today it was being dominated by a group of teenagers. And it is the middle of their grocery store area. So I took my food to go. I wasn’t expecting any thing great here, but was pleasantly surprised. It actually had taste to it. Yeah you could tell the sauce was out of a jar, but the meat was tender and the taste went completely through. So while eating in deli probably wouldn’t happen any time soon. I would go back for the tasty sandwiches, or maybe the fried clams(not to sure how fresh these could be) So Pete’s is Fat Kid tested Fat Kid approved. As always Stay Peckish my friends
